Have you noticed anything different? Probably not measurable unless you're in a benchmark.

HTC have said that that mode can be used for non benchmark applications through that developer menu option.

Is SetCPU necessary with baked kernal #6?

Baked kernal #6 is havs so I'm just wondering if I should continue to use SetCPU in combination with this kernel or not?
Any opinions on the matter?
Really curious about this...wondering if it will positively or negatively affect my battery life.
Try it and find out. I'm doing the same thing.

Let me know how it goes for you, I had heard of that combinations being touted as one of the best for battery life but it only lasted me from 9AM-6:30PM with moderate usage. I was working the whole day and occasionally checking it.
What's a "kernal" doing in your phone? Did you load C64's OS on your phone?

I tested it already!
Here are the results of my first test at 806MHz, performance, sio.
Didn't "waste time" running it 10 times and posting the best result.
Just out of the box I got the result below.
I'm curious to see other results posted here...
Please click the image to enlarge it.

There's nothing wrong with having that amount free. Android will clear it out as it needs it.

No. It affects everything not just benchmarks.
So i just tested this out. I ran the app stability test..it maxes out the cpu. Then checked System Panel app. With high performane checked the cpu ran past 60C (the max system panel reads for cpu temp) still running at 2.26 ghz. With high performance un checked the cpu throttled back at 55c to 1.5 ghz. So there is a difference.

Performance Mode

Do you always keep performance mode on? Do you notice a significant hit to battery?
Have never turned it on. No need IMO.
I did since day one, haven't tried with it turned off though, and the battery is incredible. Have no idea if turning it off would provide even better battery.
I never used it. Tried it today and things are noticably snappier especially when streaming YouTube or Music and surfing the web or checking this Forum. Battery life hasn't been affected either. This Phone is TOO SWEET!!!!
