Is SetCPU necessary with baked kernal #6? - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Baked kernal #6 is havs so I'm just wondering if I should continue to use SetCPU in combination with this kernel or not?

Any opinions on the matter?

Really curious about this...wondering if it will positively or negatively affect my battery life.

Try it and find out. I'm doing the same thing.

Let me know how it goes for you, I had heard of that combinations being touted as one of the best for battery life but it only lasted me from 9AM-6:30PM with moderate usage. I was working the whole day and occasionally checking it.

What's a "kernal" doing in your phone? Did you load C64's OS on your phone?

Battery monitor history shows negatives after 100%?

So last night I installed battery monitor and savaged kernal. I'm running miui. I thought I read somewhere that if u go into history once ur battery hits 100% and see negatives its actually not full. But I thought this kernal would fix that(maybe it just takes couple days). So ya i took a screen shot of my history from this morning when it hit 100%.

So by those stats its not actually full right? Or is bc there are also some positive numbers after.
Sorry I just charge my battery all night and can't unplugg it right when it gets too 100. Thanks

I would assume that the negative numbers means it is at 100% and begins to drain the battery
Thanks. Anyone else can confirm this? And help with a fix

Long wake time: Decks1.3d + SZ 2.1.1 - time to fix radios?

This is probably a good time for me to consider finding the thread for fixing the wake issue below, right? I've always heard of people having issues with wake lock and their radios, but never paid attention to the threads ... I'm guessing I should now...
Nothing else makes sense for such a long wake time without a long screen-on time, right?

if not try that and it should be good i can push 30 hours on 1.0 with tiamat 24-27 on 1.3 with sz and tiamat soooo shy of leaving something in the background of ur phone.
and keeping in mind that is after full discharge and settling a few days too.

This is a known issue with Samsung's US Galaxy S3 firmwares. From what I understand (I could be wrong) this is just a reporting error where it appears that cell standby took up 10 times more battery than it actually did. I do not believe this is anything to worry about. Some custom ROMs claim to have fixed this, so you can flash those if this bothers you.
There is a way to fix this without using a custom rom. The value set in cell stand by is set to 34 instead of 3.4 Or something like that so It's reporting 10x more battery usage. Just google galaxy s3 standby fix and that'll fix it for ya!

These kind of threads get closed down. There is no such thing as a best rom. Just download them all and give them a day a piece for testing out the features and battery life.

Performance Mode

Do you always keep performance mode on? Do you notice a significant hit to battery?
Have never turned it on. No need IMO.
I did since day one, haven't tried with it turned off though, and the battery is incredible. Have no idea if turning it off would provide even better battery.
I never used it. Tried it today and things are noticably snappier especially when streaming YouTube or Music and surfing the web or checking this Forum. Battery life hasn't been affected either. This Phone is TOO SWEET!!!!
