Dont know if you flashed a lot on your phone but if youd like you can do a complete wipe of your phone and sd card for a complete fresh install. Just copy all your pics and music and stuff like that from your sd to folder on computer and try this out. Just use the 4EXT touch recovery we already have from ice cold and follow the steps. Remember this forum will erase absolutely everything on phone and sd. If issue perist after this it could be a hardware issue.

I think i have found the Problem. It's only when my lockscreen Theme "honeycomb" is. Today at the morning, i had change it to "default" and no restarts until now otherwise i had 4-5 restarts on one Day .

If the same issue persist, one recommendation that I would like to give you will be to re-flash the same rom again but doing a Full Wipe in the phone first.
Then restore the application again and you will be up and running!!

i've been having the same issue, and I am also using honeycomb lock screen. Did this fix your issue or has it persisted since you set it back to defult?
Try the latest 7.5 test 9 version (look through the last 10 pages of the IceColdSandwich thread to find links, the link in the main post is down). It's the smoothest version yet. Lord's 9.7.5 kernel is giving kickass performance, and a lot of random reboot/freezing issues have disappeared in this version.

Hello everyone, I have one little problem and I hope you guys can help me.
I have a 32GB Endevoru, currently running AOSP 4.2.2 ROM, I'm rooted and with the bootloader unlocked but still with S-ON. The thing is I'm not happy with the way my One X is partitioned, mainly because 2 GB for apps is starting to be too small for my needs. so finally after all this background my question is either how to resize the system partition or how to create a new partition to use an app like link2SD and move the most heavy apps (a.k.a Games ) to there.
Please let me know if you guys need more info to help me with this issue, I'm not an expert but I'm fairly familiar using simple ADB or fastboot commands, also I'm willing to read and learn more advanced procedures if necesary.
Hope you guys can help me, thanks and have a nice week!!
(Also, if I'm not making myself clear enough, don't hesitate telling me, english is not my first language and I'm more than willing to clarify any info you need in order to do the changes I need)
Pls specify the ROM you are using. AOSP can refer to a couple of ROMS.
As for your question.
I beleive IceColdJelly422 uses a patch which allows app2sd transfer. I personally dont use games and so i have not tried it.
You could do a nandroid, then try IceColdJelly with app2sd application.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052610 This is link to the ROM
This is the link when app2sd was first introduced http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37914567&highlight=app2sd#post37914567
Or you could just use FolderMount. Only needs root, no specific ROM.
Thanks for the answers guys, about the ROM I'm using, is the one in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2013506 ([ROM][Mar 17] Jellybean 4.2.2 for Endeavoru AOSP Build [Kernel 3.1.10] [JDQ39] #19)
and about foldermount, I already tried with no success, I cannot select any /system files as source, I also tried App Manager but again, the app doesn't appear to work with devices without real external memory.

I just create a script that will move /applib and /dalvik-cache to system, thus save around 600MB on /data partition.
I called it DPS - Data Partition Saviour.
You can install around 200 ++ app without needed to using app2sd function.
script : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/82129097/DPS_curiouso9.zip
You need to copy to system/etc/init.d
then give 0775 permission
after that chown as 1000:1000
Code:
adb shell
cd system/etc/init.d
chmod 0775 06dalvik
chmod 0775 06applib
chown 1000:1000 06dalvik
chown 1000:1000 06applib
this will only work with AOSP based rom..
If anyone want to distribute this script, please let me know and credit me
Please do backup before you try it.

digging this old thread, are the new lollipop/kitkat roms repartitioned ? i really need more than 2gb for apps, any new scripts/apps that can change this ?
i had an one x in the past, but i´ve been afk from the android world for a while, and got an used one recently, and was wondering if i can change this, i´ve searched a handful of threads but found no good info, if someone kept up with the news could enlighten me i´d apprecciated it.
thanks !
I know this is old but will your script still work in Lollipop? I have NostromoPop (android 5.1.1) rom on it.
Reviving this thread...
I have an HTC One XL and am using CM 12.1-20160822-NIGHTLY (evita) (Android 5.1.1) and would also like to re-partition.
This is such a nice phone that it's a pity to waste it.
Is re-partitioning simply a matter of using a ROM that contains the Linux parted command (assuming one knows Linux - which I do)?
I have unlocked the boot loader, have root access and am S-OFF.

no sadly not, the original one x never had properly working s-off without bricking device, so also no one knows the commands to do so. especially since you use the one xl.
please head to this forum, as that is the right one for your device http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-x-att

Thanks DeeZZ_NuuZZ,
I did eventually find a solution for the HTX One XL (evita) in this XDA thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-x-att/orig-development/mod-cm-12-1-unofficial-partition-mod-t3272782
It came in the form of a modified TWRP recovery *and* a modified CM 12.1.
It works fine but I guess that I can't update to any newer CM 12.1 unless CM start supporting this alternate partitioning.
They are calling this Evita-X.
Cheers

XploDWilD is working on mkt devices, if you have a *genuine* Samsung Galaxy S4 you can fin roms for it, it has an exynos processor, so it´s easy supported by distributions.
do you have a clone instead?
i took to long for waiting omni rom or cyanogen for this devices... good devices but lack of rom resources...
Has anyone been able to build this kernel from the p8000_defconfig ?
I've tried to build it with linaro, but failed (I'm a newbee though).

I don't remember. I think there were missing dependencies. So I tried to use the provided build.sh and there was a reference to ../mediatek/build/shell.sh. Google lead me to this git-repo: https://github.com/wiko-sources/cink-slim ; I figured we might need the same folder structure for the MT6753.
I succeeded in building the Kernel with the aarch64-linux-android-4.9 toolchain and the p8000_defconfig.
To make it work, I only had to do a few minor changes:
-The p8000_defconfig file somehow has a trailing whitespace... I don't quite get why there is a whitespace there, but this isn't really a problem
-A few of the files in drivers/misc/mediatek have a few include errors. Mostly <> was used instead of "" to reference a local header file, changing this fixed all but one problem.
-In drivers/misc/mediatek/dispsys/mt6735/ddp_dsi.h there is a reference to "fbconfig_kdebug_k2.h". But the referenced file is not in the same directory. Changing the include to "../../videox/mt6735/fbconfig_kdebug_k2.h" did the trick.
Sadly, the Phone is not there yet so I couldn't test anything and I'm also a newbie concerning Android development. But I hope this might help someone.

I can't get it to boot at all. How did you do it? Do we need to add the meditek kernel-header?
I had a quick look at the sources - there seems to be a lot of stuff in there that is definitely not needed on the P8000. Different architectures and drivers for components that are not present in the P8000. Is this some kind of generic kernel they use in different configurations for all their phones?

So it might be a good idea to remove all the stuff that's not needed to keep the kernel and modules small... this is probably a lot of work though.
Hi All,
I'm new to LOS and have a basic question. How often should I update? I was taught don't mess with anything that ain't broken!
Now if I wait too long, for example, updating from 17.1 to 18.x one of these days, would the built-in updater still be able to do a seamless update, or would I end up reinstalling everything for such a big jump? Seamless for me means I can flash the new one over the old one in TWRP without a wipe, and all my config would remain and apps still work!
Any thought is highly appreciated. Thank you
