Please read the original Thread before doing something..
Q: Can I use it on other devices?
A: Yes, you can use this patch on every Krait device that uses AOSP-based ROM (examples: Nexus 5, Nexus 7 2013). Don't flash it on stock ROM on non-Nexus devices, as they already include these optimizations (that includes Galaxy S4 and HTC One Google Play editions!).
I saw this thread in Nexus 4 forum [4.4/4.4.x][PATCH] Qualcomm-optimized Dalvik & Bionic libraries Then I download and test with
[CM11][4.4.2][D802/800/801][ROM]temasek's UNOFFICIAL Build - V63 [07/04] it's OK my phone can boot.
I can not confirm this patch can use very well with g2 or have benefit for we.
please consider with yourself.
Have you ever wondered why your Nexus 4 performs worse than other flagship devices with the same quad-core CPU in benchmarks? Not any more! I present you with a very simple patch that will boost your performance to what other APQ8064-based devices offer.
Q: Can I use it?
A: Yes, if you're on any 4.4/4.4.x ROM.
Q: How does this work?
A: This patch consists of two files that include optimized bionic and Dalvik libraries for any KitKat ROM.
Q: What is bionic?
A: It is a vital system library that provides i.a. basic math and memory access functions to every other library and application in Android.
Q: What is Dalvik?
A: In short, Dalvik is a virtual machine in which every not-native-code app runs. You can read more about it in a Wikipedia article.
Q: How do I benefit from this patch?
A: In two ways: bionic patch provides faster memory access and optimized some of the math operations, dalvik provides optimized Dalvik Virtual Machine library that allows faster code execution.

That is not my experience. I have even had boot loops on different AOSP based ROMs. So make a backup before flashing system files as always.

I think that's pretty clear, always have to read the op in its entirety.

The G2 itself IS already pretty powerful, why you wanna hurt it with putting such stuff on it... i dont get it.

Yes, it is powerful but the overall user experience is much improved if the battery last longer with optimized libs.
Optimization means lower operating temperatures and longer life for your device.
Every AOSP rom suffers from proper optimization. This patch is most welcome!

how to know if it is bases on AOSP? sorry im a newbie
[url="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51547944&postcount=1220]Here's a link[/url] @Hammer_Of_The_Gods posted some time ago. It's the bionic optimizations only. If you choose to install either the bionic or the dalvik (which shouldn't be necessary but w/e floats your boat), then I'd recommend using the links in that thread only. The thread OP linked hasn't been updated in a month, whereas @jphilippon's thread was updated a less than a week ago.
Also, what the hell is wrong with these commenters... "I flashed on stock ROM, boot loop..." "this is all placebo..."
Read the directions. You can't blame anyone but yourself for not adhering to the directions. I don't blame Kraft for making bad Mac n' Cheese because I decided to replace the water with orange juice and put it on the grill...
And if you don't think this mod does anything, ignore it. I saw a thread where some guy ported the stock LG keyboard to AOSP ROMs. That sounds stupid as hell to me, but I sure didn't go in that thread and poop-post.
P.S. DON'T FLASH THE DALVIK zip on PA4.2b3. The bionic optimizations worked fine for me, though.

Most ROM posts say that somewhere.
But heres a list of some AOSP based ROMs and ROM bases:
CM/CyanogenMod based ROMS
PA/ParanoidAndroid based ROMS
AOKP/Android Open Kang Project based ROMS
P.A.C/PA+AOKP+CM
OmniROM
MoKee
And others that I don't remember right now.
All of the ROMs in G2 Original Android Development I think are AOSP based. But beware. You will get boot loops with this patch in some of them. I can't remember which though.

Andromadus - Test Builds for glacier ported from Desire S :fingers-crossed:
Flinny said:
To start with here you will find test versions of ROMs built by me from the Andromadus github repo http://github.com/Andromadus, think of them along the same concept as nightly builds just not every night These are development ROM's, if you want to run bleeding edge development ROM's and at least know how to use adb and logcat then you might find something of interest here. If you require something that works 100% of the time all of the time then this might not be for you. That said you can always give it a try and if it doesn't work restore your previous nandroid backup!
What IS Andromadus?
Initially it was a group of people who got together to make ICS work on the HTC Desire Z because nobody else seemed to want to support devices with physical hardware keyboards/trackpads. Whilst the idea stays the same It has grown slightly to support some other hardware and some of the work we have done is now used in many other devices. Andromadus builds of CM10 or CM10.1 are basically CM sources with a few additional tweaks or additions to support our phones.
1. New versions will be added as and when I feel there are enough changes to warrant one, don’t ask when the next version is coming.
2. If we decide to release a "Stable" version of these roms they will be published in another Andromadus thread.
Direct all your queries with release versions to that thread and in the same vain do not discuss these releases anywhere but here.
3. I will do as best I can to answer questions but if you don't get an answer from me I'm sure somebody else will be along to help. Help each other and I have more time to spend fixing things!
4. Don't ask for what's changed since the previous version, have a look at the recent submits on the Andromadus github if you want to know or wait for the mini changelogs when I post a new release.
5. If there is something in particular to test it'll be mentioned!
6. As always if you didn't wipe between installations then at least verify that the problem exists on a clean install before posting here. Nandroid/superwipe/install/check at the end of the day you can always restore your nandroid if the problem is reproducible on a clean installation. If you can't be bothered to try this then I really can't be bothered to try to help you :>
7. All that said ensure you make a nandroid/backup before hand. I take no responsibility for what you do to your phone with these ROM.
8. Whilst I can't stop you I would rather these builds were not used as a base for any ROM/MOD/ETC. The source is all available if you want to do your own builds with which you can do whatever you like.
9. Tell us what works/what's worse/what's better but don't ***** when something breaks or isn't fixed yet, report it and move on.
10. Sometimes people forget that we do this for fun, for ourselves, and sometimes your super important issue is way down on our personal list of things to be fixed.
If you ignore any of the above you will in turn be ignored.
Now that's all out of the way as always have fun
As usual you need to flash the ROM then GAPPS.
Checkout http://andromadus.flinny.org for links/files/changelog's
This a team/community effort, I'll not list everyone who has helped along the way here that list is in the beta thread but I will say thanks to all of them again and obviously anyone that has been missed.

This ROM is great, just installed and quickly tested some of the basics. Awesome job...camera works (including ffc and video recording, no green line), voice works in apps like Google Now. Led working, physical keys light up, no random reboots or boot loop.
Bugs
Flickering screen when LCD off
Suggestions
Track pad wake
Text only (not icon + text) for status bar battery
Text only (instead of icons) for power toggles

How to install:

If coming from ICS flash radios. link to those: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2176186
Oh you sweet, lovely, amazingly glorious bastard.
Thank you fully!
I can't download now (only 3g in my parts) but when I get home I will!
I have wanted AOSPA for ages. It's a personal story for why I want it so much, and it's now almost an inside joke with myself....just over the time I constantly do stuff for my friends tablets and phones, ALL of them get AOSPA except the devices I actually own.
and here it is!
I'll let you know how it goes and/or any issues I have with it.
I assume camera doesn't work since it's CM based so I won't mention that.

3g isnt' so bad as it turns out. The download should be done in a few minuets then I will flash.
Do I need to flash gapps?
What's with that? I knew I never used to, then around ICS I had to flash gapps with all my ROMs. Lately though, some roms say to flash it, and I do, but others don't include that instruction, so I flashed, and it still had google service and play store (forgot which ROM that was on). So, is flashing gapps always necessary for flashing new ROMs? I feel like I missed something with the process and what google wanted to happen.

Not sure about this error but for the gapps question all aosp roms are required to not include gapps as per google's source. so with PA yes you will have to flash gapps. on stock roms you dont. simple as that. its been this way since the beginning as far as i know. some people have included gapps in aosp roms. but if they did they shouldn't have because devs arent supposed to do this
im not flashing till tomorrow ill report if it works for me

OH!
Okay, that's what I thought, but now that I think about it, I think the ROM I had gotten was a modified stock. I forgot that stock ROMs are allowed to include it, even if modified. For some reason to me stock modified I thought it had to include gapps separately.
Good to know!
Hopefully someone else tries to flash and posts results. If someone else gets it working, I'll try the download from wifi and go again.

Do you have any clue what you are asking for? This is just not the correct thread. And it seems you don't know anything about MTK devices.
Head over to this thread and read everything from the first post, then you'll understand why you can't get CM for MTK devices.

I'm on CM11 (01122014) and PA Gapps Mini.
Thank you.

I'm using Fancy Kernel pre45-2 and it's running very very smoothly. Very fast especially with ART. I think its compatible with Touch Control too. You should check the thread
Edit: it's working, make sure you have the paid version of Touch Control and choose the CM11 module.

Do you have guys any ideas why CM 11 ROMs have different interface colors than some AOSP based ROMs like AOKP and SlimKAT? I mean... In CM 11 mainly color is still blue (not grey like in KitKat), in AOKP or SlimKAT mainly color has changed to grey.
Look for example in attachment. First and third screenshots are from CM 11, second and fourth from AOKP.

Really? I think you're talking about the stock rom which is customised to get a 'look' of CM. And isn't this the reply you got for your 'look-alike CM' ?!
"Better search before speaking."
Don't tell me that cos I'm not a guy like you who gets fooled by a fake CM rom and then spams other threads by asking off-topic questions.
And please don't reply back here cos I don't want to spam this thread by replying back to you and I haven't even got time for clearing your doubts.

MIUI General FAQ
Q: How do I root this?
A: Enable root in the perm manager, which can be found in the security folder.
Q: Why is G-Apps not listed for Download?
A: Too Bloaty, add a Google account and install the play store as an APK, I suggest using Aptoide to find it.
Q: 4G LTE isn't working
A: Load the Phone, dial *#*#4636#*#*, goto Phone information, Set preferred network type to LTE/CDMA auto (PRL).
Q: Help! Phone/SystemUI/Keyboard Isn't working/Is Force Closing!
A: Make sure to do a completely clean wipe, also I'm not sure how well this will work if flashed in CWM.

A: Settings -> Advanced -> User agent string -> MiOne (It Renders much better & more naturally!)
Q: My Filesystems won't mount/My PC can't see my device/My phone won't act as a MTP/USB Mounting isn't working!
A: Settings -> Developer Options -> Enable Development / USB Debugging (switch both to on)

Q: have you enabled landscape for miui home, and modified the row/column count to make more suitable for our form factor? I did a hack job some time ago, and it looked quite reasonable in landscape after the mod.

Tonights the night, and because 4.4 isn't on MiCode yet.
As a matter of fact outside of MI devices, 4.2.2 is the 'supported' android version because development has finished
These releases aren't one-night stands; I'm actually going to provide weekly updates once the bases are sorted lol
Since you guys have a MDPI device you may have to fk around with DPI mods, but the code is solid; with love

These devices lack the RAM needed so although the code is right it won't boot.
I'm going to need to slim down a lot of **** and adjust resources to MDPI when I get a chance; all the MDPI devices are in a situation where it won't boot/finish booting or doesn't look right if it does because the only resources avail officially are HDPI
Edit: I also made this ROM without regard to the RAM the device has as well, if I removed all the translation stuff it would prob. be ok; I'll have to check into this.

Oh you're right, It has 1 GB.
I really don't know why it doesn't move past the boot logo; do you load the kernel via 3rd pt injector or use zImage? I found the GNex builds which had this issue needed a zImage kernel
Who has Stringray replace the boot.img on it and check

ALL YOUR ANSWERS ARE IN THIS OP. I AM NOT ANSWERING ANYMORE QUESTIONS THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO CM11S ISSUES. REPORT A BUG HERE. BUGS WITHOUT LOGCATS WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
First time installing to your d800/980 series phone, or coming from another ROM:
- If you use a recovery OTHER than TWRP based I can not help you (make sure to have KK Modem for Aosp. Find it HERE and big thanks to dr87!! I have also found the 4.2.2. modems work fine and they can be found HERE. Big THANKS to autoprime for those!!!).
- Download the Rom
- Copy the rom ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Click Wipe
- Click Advanced Wipe
- Click Dalvik Cache, System, Data, and Cache
- Swipe to Wipe
- Go to Install
- Navigate to where you stored the Rom
- Click the Rom
- Swipe to confirm Flash
- Flash Gapps
- Once complete REBOOT
That is all you need to do
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!

Since you've built this, would it be possible to build pure AOSP? Or would that be different since this is CM based?
Just curious, since I liked how well it ran on my old phone.

The only reason this isn't more popular, is because it is in the ATT development section. Tapatalk doesn't work with ATT dev section for some reason, so you have to use browser. And everyone is used to looking in development, or original development, because not much going on here.

Very nice rom @VECTUS. :good: I flashed this about 24 hours ago and it's just smooth. No FC's and everything I've done with my phone works. Very nice, thanks for letting us have this!
Not sure if it works here. But when I want to use a rom that doesn't support d800, I just flash the rom, then flash an aosp kernel for my version phone. May work for those that don't have the d800 until other versions are ready. I to have been using this for a couple days. Very smooth and everything just works. No problems so far. Like it a lot.
