Hi, I would greatly appreciate some feedback for the two different approaches to navigation drawer design.
I would like to hear your thoughts from both a UI, and aesthetics point of view, of the images below.
Be as critical as you wish, it all helps. I have a preference but I'd like to see what others not related to the project think.
Many thanks in advance for your help.

This is my favourite, because its better organized and if you bring more menu items i would recommend this (for more detailed view)

Change BG color
Definetly the one with with the big seperators and the text. I always loved this kind of design and how awesome it looked in apps like facebook!

I at one point had a theme on my Cliq that had blue instead of yellow...I am sure it can be done, but how easily is another matter. Hopefully we will see more themes down the road.

Hi, try the App Handcent SMS.
It's fully customizable and has many more options, far superior to the standard app.

Hi there,
is there any way to increase the size of the folders at simifolder when "open"? To see all the 6 (screenshot) Icons without sliding up and down.
Screenshots attached.
I'm using density at 180 and big icons, i love the high resolution icons.
THX THX for any ideas!
And no, i do not want to use smaller icons or make them smaller in size.
First of all, good question. Stopped using Simi for the exact same reason...
Second, could you please tell me the name of the icons? Thanks in advance!
At this Page: http://www.iconarchive.com/popular.html there are all the wonderful and GREAT looking icons including the one on the pictures, found on the first 1-3 pages. But there are better ones available, all free.
Thanks! Looking great indeed. Time for some more customization
So many great XDA-Members here and no idea in solving this prob? Pls Pls Pls

Simple answer: No, there is nothing you can do about that. It's hardcoded that way into the app. Try to get in touch with the app developer and see if he is willing to implement it.
Hey,
I don't know if Google is trying to be funny or something but i find it VERY irritating and stupid that THE WHOLE OS is Cyan (or Blue) and Black ... EVERYTHING... the main icons of phone, people app, notification bar and even the glowing effect of over scroll... except ONE thing, the Messaging app.. GREEN AND WHITE..!!! And not only that, their Flagship device has Super AMOLED screen and there is no DARK theme inside the app settings!! Seriously, Google?
Anyway, i'm done raging now is there a way to change the messaging app icon? (i don't like using third party apps) i want it to be ANYTHING that is similar in color to the Phone app ...
and to take this maybe a step further, is there a way to re-theme the app itself to something DARK with a lot of blacks rather than whites? (i'm not a Dev so i'm just asking, don't flame at me if it's impossible, i dunno)
Aaaaaan that's it, thanks for reading

and if you scroll further down its much easier changing the icons using an app called ninjamorph!
As a graphic designer I was wondering about the exact same issue.
ICS is a big advance in terms of design, but there are a few big "mistakes" designwise imho. It's not only the Messaging icon, it's the whole messaging app, I agree with you. Colorwise it's absolutely the opposite of what it should be... same thing with the People app, way too bright to fit the whole theme of the OS. Should be themed in the same way like the call log and the contacts tap in the dialer.
I don't understand who had the idea to design the calendar, sms and contact app in a completely different design. Fortunately I'm not the only who is unhappy with this.
Hopefully the next update brings us a consistent ui.

Fully themed MMS/SMS app
I have been searching the forums for an icon pack that is just plain bright white and compatible with CM9 or AOKP(although I really don't know that compatibility is an issue with icons, maybe someone can correct me there) and am not finding anything.
I'm really not looking for anything too fancy, just basic icons that are a bright white instead of the stock icons, similar to what you see in the Black Infinitum theme menus. I'm not really looking for much, just standard apps (gmail, calendar, messaging, phone, play, contacts, email, camera, maps, navigation, calculator, browser, voice) and maybe a few others of the really popular apps (facebook, dropbox, scorecenter, etc...)
If anyone could point me to icons that would work I would appreciate it, if there are none if a dev could take it on I would also appreciate it very much.
Thanks!
Found these on XDA

and the link below has some, but I can't figure out where to download them from..

That second link is almost exactly what I'm looking for, but same as you I don't find a download link. Thanks for the links nonetheless!

You can buy droidicon on the market for $5. It has a number of icon packs available in a number of colors and styles. It was previously called launcher pro icons and docks and meant for lpp, but you can use them on any launcher that you can change icons on. You will have to edit them yourself though, you can't install them as a theme or pack. You download the icons one by one from a list. I use the white icons on it for aokp with nova launcher, pics for the doc and text for the nav bar, they look really good. I would post screenies but I'm running miui.us atm. Hope I could help tho.

I used that for awhile... some of the icons are pretty generic, but the custimazation options are limitless, which more than makes up for it...
I really like that! I am going to give it a shot.
[EDIT] So I installed it and REALLY like these icons. They are pretty run of the mill designwise, but I wasn't looking for anything too off the wall anyway. What a great find, thank you!
The project ist closed. Sorry and thanks for the support.
amazing theme bro..nice working on p10 lite
appreciate if notifications also come transparent or with dark background
Really nice theme, thank you.
+1 to transparent or dark notifications
I prefer stock icons in status bar, but yours, AOSP style, are more compact. Trade off there.
All applications seem correctly themed in P10. Clean dark rather than basic to me. Great job
Very nice theme waiting for the stock notifications icons especially for the battery ang signal. But overall great job.

Hi, first of all... Many thanks for this theme, like it very much!
Only thing I noticed so far is a double battery icon.
Can it be fixed?
I'm on beta Oreo by the way.
First of all, many thx. One thing... The smiley button in WhatsApp is hiding...

Fantastic theme! It's exactly what I was searching for. Works flawlessly on the P9.
