CWM wont find zip

Hey guys
I wanted to update my rom before, never had any problems in the past. I have flashed many roms.
I flashed a new hboot (cm7r1, worked fine) but when i go to CWM to select the rom zip, no files are found.
I have re formatted my sd etc, the computer see's the zip file but the phone wont

Do you search for zip via normal flash from SD card or via the update.zip-method?

Have you tried re-flashing CWM via ROM Manager ?

@OP: DO NOT USE ROM MANAGER! It's a horrible software which causes more problems than it solves.
A re-flash might help, but then do it via fastboot (according to your signature you are S-OFF, so you can use fastboot).

managed to sort it by wiping the sd through cwm

Problem installing custom rom via CWM

hey guys
i am not able to install custom rom .zip via CWM i don't get any error while installing, it shows "Installation complete" but later on its stuck at galaxy y logo
the other features like backup,format,etc are working fine and i am able to install .zips via stock recovery but cmw isn't working for me
PS
i was able to use cwm before to flash roms
using skins cwm

which rom were you flashing...

my cwm.zip size is 1.31mb

Try cwm by mad team
Do a data/cache wipe
Then again check... flashing the rom

wipe data and cache before installing a rom... or if u hav already installed it then do a wipe data and cache... try installing something else

maybe my cwm is corrupted can anyone give me a link to the old zip ?

what is your firmware sir?? maybe its about your firmware that the rom is compatible with so that it wont stuck on samsung logo or bootloop if you have that firmware like DXKL2 and DXLC1

Also do remember to data wipe and cache wipe from both stock and CWM recoveries before installing any rom..If the ROM still doesnt flash ..use the stock rom package from dokys thread in android development and re-flash..that must fix the issue..

No firmware doesnt matter..All firmwares support all ROMS..but they may have some glitches like wifi issues etc..but atleast they will boot up

maybe the custom rom files are corrupt he/she need to download it again....

using DDLC2 will try with madteam's cwm and report back

[Q] Cant flash ZIP in twrp

Hello everyone,i got this weired problem,i rooted my g pad v500d and i installed TWRP for kitkat roms
I made a backup of my current rom and i tried to flash 2 roms but neither is working,i get red failed message,in fact i cant flash anything in zip format...any ideas?

Try unchecking "System" from "Mounts" in twrp menu after wiping everything... Then flash the desired ROM

It is already unchecked,again failed with red letters.i tried also to flash the rom from internal storage and from sd card.Also failed

SOLVED with PHILZ recovery
For some reason twrp doesn work for me and i tried my luck in philz recovery and it worked...

LG G3 TWRP restarts when trying to flash.

I try to flash CloudyG3 2.5 to my phone but after i swipe twrp resets and don't flash the rom.
I flashed BlissPop and it worked fine.
Currently im using Stock rom Android 5.0
TWRP is latest.
Phone version is D855
Can anyone please help me?

I've had that happen before when trying to flash from my external SD card. I had to move the file to internal memory for it to flash. Or if that's not it you could have a bad download of cloudy and need to try a new one.

I've the same problem, even when I put the flashable on internal memory it doesn't work
I did erase by accidement everything on my device it's written ( no os installed )
and I can't flash a new rom due to the twrp problem, DID you fix it ? tell me how please.

Flash a custom rom through odin.. It will work

Had the same problem, it's bug with new version of TWRP and aroma installer, try to install TWRP 2.8.x.x, it helped me.

Hi. today i was on lineageos14 and it was so good , i tried to install xposed with TWRP . after i installed the zip file , device gone to boot-loop. i tried to restore my cyanigenmod12 backup in twrp, after restoring twrp says that there is no OS installed on device . i do full wipe and restore once again and reboot phone. then after LG logo screen was black and it was like phone is off . then i tried some custom Roms with cm base and the result was same.then i flashed stock ROM(once V21a and once V10e). now i have stock ROM . the setting will hangs a lot and i cant enable developers menu to enable USB debugging and device wont read my simcard and say "Service Disabled". i want to install cm12 or lineage14 . what i must do ? does my phone bricked ?

i did TOT method but result was same. also i flashed android 6 stock ROM this morning and result was same . i dont have IMEI

i have efs partition backup . but i cant root my phone to install twrp and restore it. my current rom is marshmallow 30b
