Phone gets stuck in a loop trying to reboot, all I get is the triangle screen over and over. This is after going from root-custom rom/ back to stock/ and then trying to root again. I can access download mode, and the recovery menu (Agat _recovery trec 0.3.5)
What can I do? Thanks.
Does it recognize the device in kies (or smart if you have it)? And what kernel version?

I didn't have kies installed, but it doesn't seem like it, no. And GB27 I think.
Hmmm is knox on your devoce? If so is the void flag tripped?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda app-developers app
Knox doesn't exist for this device. Have you tried using an Odin one-click at @rwilco12 website? Yellow triangle can be removed by an app called triangle away in the play store.

this was fixed by a data wipe, thanks.

When first time phone comes
It has
Factory Mode
System Status: Official
After rooted and reset by Triangle Away
Odin Mode
System Status: Custom
I thought it would reset everything back to factory like first time but no.
Unless I miss something.
Thanks.

After you flash triangle away you need to Odin back to the stock unrooted signed package and it will be 100% stock.

It doesnt matter if he uses Triangle Away right now, he has TWRP on it. Until he is 100% stock + rooted it will always say modified.

You're completely right. I forgot that he said he was still rooted. Assumed he unrooted at this point.

I'm 100% stock+rooted and it says under status that my phone is custom. Even After using triangle away. If I want to get the OTA update I'm gonna have to ODIN flash a stock firmware.

In triangle away check the box for 'System Modified Workaround', After a reboot it disables root for a few minutes, it should say Official after that.
What kind of recovery do you have? Stock?

Flash stock recovery (I think there is an Odin file floating around) then use triangle away. Should reset you back. The bootloader is running a check on the recovery at boot. If it doesn't match a certain value (I think it checks the signature) then it trips the counter.

Might not even matter, but just in case, do triangle away before you flash to stock. That's the way I've been told to do it, and its safer I guess.

Whoops. I actually responded to this post, buy I guess I quoted it.
To be safe, I'd use triangle away right before you flash you stock ROM. That's the way I was told to do it, and worked without a hitch. Plus, it's way easier.

Quite possibly the easiest thing to find. Use Google or YouTube and type in "how to unroot TMobile S4."
All the instructions give you links to the official stock Roms.

Hey guys, im having a bit of an issue. I cant check for software updates because my device has been modified. Is there a fix for this, even after I Flashed the stock tar file, it still gives me this message :/ I have only flashed one ROM on this device, but since I forgot to make a back-up I resort to using Odin when I want to get back to stock. Now I read on another thread that root could be a cause, so I figured, complete restore with with Odin would help, but instead I get the same message.

You need to use Triangle Away to reset the flash counter.
This thread will show you how to.

There's no update right now anyway from T-Mobile that I'm aware of.
So I need to root again?

Yea, you need root to use Triangle Away. After you reset the counter, just flash back to stock.

If you made a backupour stock rom after su setup and custom recovery then yes you can as long as you are on the same bootloader the stock rom was on. Just restore after a thorough full wipe and use the the triangle away tutorial from the point after you should have opined back to stock, installed custom recovery and su. But you should Odin back anyways because this is unfounded and gremlins don't like to be aborted. Just remember you want to send your phone in for warranty and you want to eliminate all modded softwares and Odin will eliminate the leftovers!
You can try this
http://www.androidrootz.com/2013/06/how-to-unroot-galaxy-s4-without.html
Every time that I try to download the tar.md5 stock file it keeps saying bad file size.what would cause that.I tried downloading the file twice with no luck. Thanks
