I was updating my phone with official 4.3 then the odin hanged and stopped working and the phone now when I power it on it gives my this message
"Firmware update encountered an issue , please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"
- Kies doesn't recognize the mobile
- I wasn't rooted
- I have no warranty
PS : I tried and I can boot into download mode
but when I try to flash stock firmware the odin hangs again
I searched and found that I can unbrick it using stock rom with pit file and modem file as separate files .. any one with this rom ??
please tell me what to do ..

Press and hold Vol down + Menu key and power key for 4~8 secs it'd again reboot your phone into download mode, and repeat the full story again.
Put battery out and put back again and you will go at download mode (also I think when you have this message you are at download mode check if you don't see again the download mode if you can see the phone through odin) . Open the task manager at windows and terminate any kies process, download Odin3v1.87 close the Internet connection and flash your firmware with pit file and repartition checked. Odin3v1.87 will do the job, newer odin can't flash at this situation.

I want to restore the stock version and the Rom. Is tried the search engine. I have Odin and TAR_MD5_PACKAGER. I only need the stock android version for my phone and the Rom.
So, what should I do and where can I find these files?
Thanks in advance

OK the first big mistake you are making is attempting to flash firmware in stock recovery.
This is *NOT* DOWNLOAD mode.
To enter DOWNLOAD mode hold POWER +HOME +VOL DOWN(not up)
You will then see a screen asking if you wish to continue. Select continue.
Then load your stock firmware with the md5 extension into the AP tab of ODIN and flash.
It will auto reboot and take about ten minutes on the SAMSUNG loading screen to complete booting.

one more thing when i plug it for charging it shows samsung boot screen not battery charging screen
i have back cover off so i disconnected battery to power it off and checked with that also it shows samsung boot screen
even when it is power off (disconnecting battery then connecting ) connected with pc also shows samsung boot screen
by boot screen i mean the first one you see when powering on not the logo
Also your 1st reply that i am flashing firmware in recovery is leading me to conclusion that my tab is going directly into recovery after boot
Also i can email you all the photos of whole process i take photos of odin and tablet at the same time and used other pc and cable
It seems your partitions are messed up somehow. This probably happened flashing cm and why it boots to recovery.

OK from what I can gather from your images is that you start off with a lollipop firmware then flash an early ANFB firmware.
As far as I can remember it boots into recovery afterwards on that firmware to complete the flashing process.
However it seems it is not compatible with your model.
What region is this tablet from?
I'd forget about flashing KitKat firmware for now. Use lollipop firmware.
The first thing I suggest is to manually boot to recovery and wipe the cache partition then wipe data/factory reset.
Next is stop using ODIN 3.09 and download 3.10.7
Load the lollipop firmware correct for the device region and flash with ODIN.
If it fails after booting to recovery, wipe the cache partition again and see if it boots.
If not report back and I'll post how to get past it.
Its UK model

It will always go to recovery after flashing as it uses recovery to complete the flashing process.
Even if it fails in recovery just wipe cache and factory reset and it should boot.
Will take about ten minutes on the SAMSUNG logo with sparks then you will see the updating message and finally boot into android.
To circumvent the device booting into recovery after flashing use 7zip and right click on the md5 file then choose open archive and highlight sboot.bin, boot.img, recovery.img and system.img.
Drag these out of the window into an empty folder.
Next highlight these four files and right click then in 7zip select 'add to archive'
Select 'tar' and make sure compression method is 'store'.
Once the process is finished you can flash the resulting tar file in AP slot of ODIN.

Just got home after work will follow your advise and will update
I've been having some issues keeping my Tab Pro 8.4 rooted. It doesn't seem to want to stay rooted after rooting.
I installed CM13 on the device about a week ago and its been buggy as hell. I went to install CM13 updates and for that root had been lost again. When I try to reroot (using the guides provided) Odin3 works fine until the tablet tries to re-boot. At that point it gets stuck on the reboot screen and goes no further. I can't flash anything or get the device to get past that re-boot screen.
Any advice?

if you are losing root by upgrading your rom, all you should have to do is flash supersu zip via custom recovery after your rom upgrade
try holding vol - and power till you see a glip in the screen at samsung splash and let go this should take you to your custom recovery.
if that doesn't work you will need
to fix your current issue, you will want to download your stock firmware, push via odin3 (let tab fully boot) then push your custom recovery via odin3.
if your custom recovery worked with vol - and power just start here
then flash your cm13 rom, gapps, then the supersu zip
@AustinTech
get it fixed?
also holding vol+ and power takes you to download mode for odin

Where did you get you firmware? I tried sammobile.com but the download was took 12 hours and both times gave me corrupt files.
I went to a different site and downloaded what I thought was the correct firmware but since there is no .tar.md5 file in the extracted files I'm thinking no...
Alright, sammobile is downloading a bit faster now so maybe in 2 hours I'll have the correct firmware. I think the site I used earlier was crap.
I educated myself on what a .tar.md5 file is as well and I think I'll be set once I have the firmware.

Yeah sammobile was pretty slow for me too. Just make sure you have your tab!et in download mode before you connect it to the computer.
if you still have problems with sammobile you can download the firmware from the samsung servers with the tool SamFirm
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/tool-samfirm-samsung-firmware-t2988647
also in regards to your first post, CM13 has built in root, you don't need to manually root it, if you are then that's why it's breaking to enable root in cm13 go to settings -> developer options - > root access (then select apps, adb) this setting will persist over all future flashes, to enable developer options go to Settings -> about tablet and tap the build number 5 or 6 times to enable the option.

When you're booting into download mode, just press volume down to restart the tablet. Then you need to be quick: before the boot screen appears you need to press Power + Volume up + Home to boot into recovery. If it does not work the first time, just try again.
Best, maris
First, superbrick was only a term used during an EMMC bug for the S2 and Note.
second, you can use Odin to reflash the stock firmware. As long as you can access Download mode, it's an easy fix.

This may seem too simple, but have you tried using a different USB cable/USB port? NO USB HUBS.
Odin is VERY sensitive to ports/cables.

Hey Guys.
i've got 2 Questions :
my mobile got stuck at Samsung logo due to Full Storage my friends told me to Reset it via odin.
i want to so i downloaded its md5 from Original source and i tried 3 Versions of ODIN 3.04 , 3.07 and 3.11
all i've got odin fail after BcmBP.img
i've searched for that problem and all the solutions i've read is to change the file , use another USB Solt or usb for the mobile
i've tried them all
firstly i'm using laptop and i've tried all the 3 Solts the same problem
and i've downloaded another File still the same
i didn't have Kies to stop it from Task manager and i've stopped Antivirus.
Note : my mobile isn't rooted , it must be rooted to work with Odin ? (BTW it's the 2nd Question ) if it's how could i root it via Laptop ?

Bro it's not how u reset ur phone using Odin..try this-
Switch off ur phone or just take out battery for 5sec and put it back in ..
Now press power+home+volume up button at the same time..
If u press above buttons correctly , u will enter recovery mode there just scroll down using volume buttons and use power button to select factory reset and delete user data and cache.
Done reboot and u will be fine

Thanks for your reply but now i think that my frimware system is down.
firstly it was stuck at samsung logo and it doesn't even open. showing that message Firmwave upgrade has encountered an issue please select recovery mode in Kies.
and i've downloaded recovery (CWM) for my phone and i tried to reset factory in it and reboot the device it shows Samsung GT-i9082 Duos and nothing happens.
CWM has an option that it could install something from SD Card.
that file which i use in Odin would it work if i installed it by this way ?
