Actually I'm on digiblur right now and it's giving me a lot of problems. Random reboots, lagginess. Not sure why, used to be a huge fan of the ROM. I've tried wiping/re flashing/everything. Really sad

As I stated, I have not had any of the problems you just noted, its running smooth from the day I flashed it on my phone, I do have say though that I went completely back to bone stock with the Odin-one-click from @rwilco12 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2591898 before I flashed digiblur's Rom
Maybe that can help you

What rom do you guys suggest.

As the title says what roms do you guys like best. I don't have much time with work and my home business to try them out atm. And not having my note rooted is driving me nuts, its been 4 days since I got it, lol.
There's very little difference imo. Clean Rom is great if you want the most basic stock experience. If you want multi window feature, you'll have to use one of the others

Clean Rom is said to break LTE.

A lot of people have been reflashing back to stock form CleanRom due to problems with LTE.

Synergy - Thank you

I cannot post over on the Synergy thread that I located as it is developers only and I completely understand. I am hoping the Synergy folks see my post here and my thanks.
I've had my SGN2 for a few months and have pretty much played with JB Domination. I finally had enough of what I felt was the blue everything being shoved down my throat and went back to stock. I think it is one of the best ROM's out there but not if it forces you to accept all of it's programming and colors much like the SGN2 itself. This is my opinion.
Synergy is nice!! It gets ride of a lot of crap on the phone, it is very, very quick, it gives me the tether that I need. No complaints. I liked it so much that I actually sent in a small donation, something I typically do not do often on things like this.
I will say I am running V14 as it that seemed the heaviest in use. There is a v32 version but my phone kept turning off and had to have a battery pull to get it back online.
If you liked r14, upgrade to r47...its what i am running now (ziggy kernal and all). platt continues to outdo himself with each update!

I moved to Synergy today from a different rom and I've gotta say this is going to be my daily driver.
I do have 1 question tho. Im running LJC and it seems yo be performing great, should I upgrade to MA7? I just don't want to brick my phone. Thanks for the hardwork guys!

I upgraded from Synergy LJC to Synergy MA7 easily with no problems at all. I would say the biggest upgrade is being able to use Ziggys kernal. There were some hiccups with his kernal on LJC, but it runs smooth on MA7. I say make a nandroid, and take the plunge!

Kernal for stock root?

I've only tried a few roms and read a lot of reviews on others and decided not to flash any for a while. So right now I'm wondering if I can still flash different kernals without a specific rom? If so which would be best for stock root? I'm mainly looking for battery life and performance with maybe a few customizations if that matters any?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Flash ktoonesz kernel and then head over to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032956
Every since I flashed this kernal its been freezing up and causing me to have to do a hard restsart. I'm jus going to revert to my backup and and try figure something else since I only understand half of what's going on in that thread and no one seems interested in helping with my issue. Thanks for your suggestion btw. If u have anything else I'm more than willing to try it out.

DId you flash the correct one? For TW? Try going back to a previous version of it.

how would i go about doing that? and is stock root the same as a tw rom?
Stock is Touchwiz, if you're stock rooted then yes, you are on a Touchwiz (or TW) ROM.

so how can i find an older version of the ktoonesz? or is there any other options available?
Yeah there is, ther'es AGAT kernel, theres freeza's optimized kernel, and then there's one more I think. Oh yeah, anthrax kernel, but that's not on these forums.
So in your opinion which do u think would be best?

Ktoonz kernel is my favorite, there is no best though... things didn't match what was shown because you have to use the ktweaker app and change your governor and io scheduler to the ones who's tweaks you're looking at...

Ok that makes a lot more sence... so my question now is how can I kno which I/os and governors to choose and the tweaks to apply to them without screwing evwrything up? Basically is there anyway for me to learn about all of this in depth b4 I go experimenting?

Trial and error, Google and the kernelizers thread will be your best friend throughout your journey of ktoonz kernel tweaking... you can find that thread in general section... in the op you will see links to the team's box account that has pudding setups for you to use... gman and mw86 have the top battery saving setups with great performance also... read through the op and ask any questions about tweaking you may have in there... if anybody gives you a hard time on any questions you may have tell them I sent you! (the last part was a joke, they are all good guys over there)

I do not, try it out again, wipe cache and dalvik cache after flashing, don't mess with the kernel, just run it as is for a day and see how it performs, if all goes well then start your kernel tweaking journey :thumbup::thumbup:

Choose pbj kernel as your kernel. Zomg!!!! YouTube app finally plays all the NBA and boxing videos smoothly. Don't try and tell me, YouTube is smooth. Watch an NBA video or a player highlight. Its SO choppy. Saberkernel wasn't cutting it. Pbj kernel will change your life.

P.s. why do people get so defensive about things like this? I'm not getting paid for people flashing a kernel. You're lucky I'm even telling you guys about how good this kernel is. Most people will never even find out about this kernel. What if someone reads my thread, gives it a try, and they fall in love like I did?
Such a defensive bunch.

It's actually probably best to let this thread die, because as you said people are getting defensive or as you are claiming kernels are lagging. Saber is an outstanding kernel and I had zero lag and ptmr3 is a great dev and constantly improving his work.
I love PBJ too and actually tend to use it when I'm on a custom kernel maybe partially from nostalgia of the charge. Having said that I find stock is the best for me and I get zero lag.
Here's why, kernels are a funny thing what is great for your phone may be not so great on my phone. I have an example above, but another is trinity kernel bootloops me every time and I can't use it, but many users seat by it. So I believe you that you had you tube lag on Saber and I believe the other guy that he had none. Either way this thread is going to spiral into bashing the work a dev donated to the community very quickly, so it's best to just let it die.

I'm not sure if you meant to say I was getting defensive about SaberKernel? I just gave my opinion the same way you did, just because you have a problem doesnt mean I have it, just saying. And Im glad there are many choices of kernels, that its always good.

FWIW the PBJ kernel let my device surprise me with random reboots. I love spontaneity! YMMV.
But seriously, I had better luck with Devil kernel but have since gone back to stock for battery savings and to cure some weird stuff with s note.

Pbj kernel reminds me of ktoonz kernel for the s4. No RR, YouTube doesn't lag and calls don't hang, also not as many force closes as with saber.

I literally didn't even bother flashing it with the separate aroma installer file, until I saw that someone said pbj kernel is great on battery.

Mostly stock rom

Before I get incinerated, I did search but could not find what i was looking for.
I am looking for a completely stock rom with only CIQ and Knox removed, i would like all the other bloat and crapware on it. also no other mods that can potentially cause future issues.
I was running the Darthstalker but it seems to now have a few severe glitches and Jovy is no longer supporting it.(Which i do not blame him, he has done a lot for just donations and has a life of his own.)

Yep did full wipes, After reading thru there threads it seems quite a few are having this issue lately with Jovys rom. may be a conflict with a updated app or something.
I am going to play around between wicked and Sickness Rebirth for a bit. hopefully there will be a just slightly modified 4.4 tmobile tw in the future.
