After the factory reset and during the set-up that follows on reboot, does it prompt you to set up a wireless connection? This should usually the second step in the set-up process.

Glad to know your phone is now working normally. If you are on stock 4.1.2 getting 4.3 OTA update should be a breeze. If required, however, I would suggest you take advantage of the flexibilities offered by the lower firmware especially free unlocking before updating to 4.3

[Q] No signal

I have managed to get my phone back to the original rooted 4.1.2 with CWM recovery. I had flashed 4.3 and had trouble, so I went back to 4.1.2, now there is no signal and the phone keeps saying preparing network. I am not sure what to do next. Anyone else have this problem?

I have entered this into the phone and Data Profile is not set none of the others are either. EVDO is not set, When I select advace it shuts down the process, USB Charging is on, eHRPD is on, under Others everything is filled out. Not sure if this information can help.

Odin MK7 4.3 wifi problems

Ok so I just Odin'd T889UVUCMK7_T889TMBCMK7_TMB because I was having major WiFi issues with just enabling WiFi.
I tried many patches and many "fixes" none worked so I said ok well let me just go ahead and go to 4.3 MK7.
Well still the same thing, cannot enable WiFi, it acts like its going to enable it and then it gets greyed out again.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Lem

No I'm on the stock MK7 rom....the only thing done is that its Rooted, but even before I rooted it still had the same WiFi problem, it will not activate at all. Nor will the bluetooth. Again I did an Odin Flash of it, so in essence thats basically like factory, but still can't get WiFi to work.
I'm at my end with this phone....I love it I've had it for 2yrs, but with no WiFi I'm lost.....because I will drain my 4G Data in no time.....
Thanks

Backup your data and factory reset. If you are on a stock ROM and factory reset doesn't do the trick it is highly probable that the issue is hardware based.

[Q] Voice Calls Not Working On Network STOCK ROM

Just recently I noticed that voice calls were not working when I was on my network, but work fine when I'm connected to Wifi-Calling. I have not rooted, flashed, or anything on this phone before. Anyone know what's up?
Something to do with last update?
Try a reboot. Experienced this on wife's Note 3. Reboot cleared it up.

I've tried rebooting, rebooting in safemode, and wiping the cache. Only thing I have not done is a full factory reset.

rooted? stock?
I am rooted. I just did a factory reset - same damn problem.
Odin stock nk2 tar check for Bluetooth. Root, then check for Bluetooth. Report results
yeah that's what I figured I would have to try. Downloading it now.
Flashed stock via ODIN - it's working again. Of course now I'm chicken to turn it off for fear it won't come back on...hahaha

Dont be. If it doesn't turn back on, you may have some hardware issues after all. I'm the opposite, I would be flipping it on/off oodles of times making sure it functions properly

Android 10 broke my phone's Mobile Hotspot Functionality.

Samsung Galaxy A50 (SAM-A505FN)
Android 10
One UI 2.0
Hello,
I updated my phone last night with the above updates and for some reason, Windows 10 now no longer sees my phone's hotspot.
Other devices in my home connect to the phone just fine. No updates were applied to my PC before or after the phone update.
I've reset everything on the phone multiple times. The network isn't hidden. Encryption doesn't make a difference. Changing the band doesn't do anything either.
The phone connects to the internet fine via USB and Bluetooth.
Does anyone know what could have happened and if there is a way to solve this issue?
Thank you.

After updating the device, did you boot into recovery mode and select the "wipe cache partition"?

I already tried this. No change.

Well, basically, after applying stock updates, if factory resetting and wiping cache in recovery isn't fixing the issue, about the only other option is to flash back to your previous stock firmware.
But, your issue might be caused by some other app/apps that you have installed. To test that theory, try booting into "safe mode", if the issue does not occur while in safe mode, that means the issue is caused by something that you installed.
Or, this issue may be caused by some other setting in your device settings that needs to be changed.
Did you update via OTA or did you flash the updated firmware via PC/flashtool?

No, I updated over my carriers update roll out. No flashing or anything. Just doing things legitimately.

Try downloading that exact update version and then flash it via PC. It usually does a better job than updating directly over the air.

Hi if you have any problems try to reflash to previous version via ODIN
