I just bought a note 4 phone yesterday -all was working fine for awhile...but now I can't get my bluetooth to turn on! I suppose I could try a factory reset or whatever but I really dont want to have to do that.... anyone have any ideas for me?

rooted? stock?
I am rooted. I just did a factory reset - same damn problem.
Odin stock nk2 tar check for Bluetooth. Root, then check for Bluetooth. Report results
yeah that's what I figured I would have to try. Downloading it now.
Flashed stock via ODIN - it's working again. Of course now I'm chicken to turn it off for fear it won't come back on...hahaha

Dont be. If it doesn't turn back on, you may have some hardware issues after all. I'm the opposite, I would be flipping it on/off oodles of times making sure it functions properly

my nexus is rooted.
i have tried some roms and everything was good
but today the wifi stop workimg(i tried to turn it on but it just writing "turnning on wifi" and nothing happend's) i tried to replace radio but it didn't worl too.
even tried a very old nand backup!!!
i'm now after the nand backup with 4.0.1 / itl41f / kk1
i don't know what else to do///

Put the stock ROM on the phone, do a factory reset. If this doesn't fix your problem then maybe you need to call Samsung as you have a HW issue.

flashed the stock rom still no change the wifi isn't working.

It sounds like a hardware problem
have you tested other devices on your wifi network .....
If it was just not connecting to your network . That would be fixable. But since even on the stock rom . It will not even turn on
Deffinately a hardware problem. Take it back to the store you bought it from.

i tried to do. still isn't working. something is very weird here. mybe it's a hardware problem' but why there is reboots???
after i tried to put a stock rom the nexus keep doing reboots all the time.
i rooted the nexus again and puted the cm rom and the reboots stopped!
somebody know way it's happaning???

just want to let you know that the problem was fixed.
it was a hardware problem and the wifi chip was replaced.
I had the same thing happen with my SGN i'm waiting for Negri electronics review my RMA right now. But its good to know that they fixed yours.
I bought this phone used from eBay and it worked fine for about a month.
Then the Wi-Fi stopped working. as you can see in the pictures, the wifi button (slider) is disabled/grayed out and if you go into the menu, it is stuck on "Turning wi-fi on".
I've tried everything from downgrading to 2.3.6 GB (currently on official ICS 4.0.4 through Kies) to installing Cyanogen mod ROM but it wont work. rooted then unrooted. everything else works great.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yup. I did. I have other devices on home wifi that have no problems connecting. In addition i have tried at starbucks and work wifi. Still no go.
The WiFi on the Galaxy S2 wont even turn on to recognize/select networks (SSIDs) to connect to. As you can see in the pics, the Wifi ON/OFF button is grayed out/disabled.
Did you try flashing a different radio since the issue started? If not I would try it, maybe downgrade the radio to UVLI1 or even try re-flashing the same radio. I know I had this issue once before but fixed it somehow, I think it was just a reboot for me but if you tried all of what you said in the OP you would have rebooted a few times.
Did you use Odin to flash back to stock? If not, give it a try with a full wipe.
Although i have not tried to mess with Radio (noob here, not sure i wont mess that up), I did Odin the phone back to stock ROM with no luck.

When you flash a stock rom in Odin, it also flashes the radio.

Ah Ok. There you go then. and i tried with a couple of TMO stock ROMS (starting with GB 2.3.6). so obviously that hasnt worked. Thanks.
i found a possible fix, that worked for me. Go into your recovery, i did it with TWRP (latest one) and advanced and fix permissions, than i rebooted and worked! Give it a try.

To avoid any future hassles I contacted the seller and he agreed to take it back for a full refund, so i guess i'll never know what happened. Thanks for your help everyone.
I know this thread is nearly a year old, but I had this problem and figured out a fix that worked for me so I know its still relevant.
My fix was:
- reboot into latest cwm recovery (v6.0.4.3 touch for me)
- click "mounts and storage"
-click "unmount /cache"
-reboot
So far it has worked every time and wifi screw ups have happened rarely ever since. Hope this late post helps at least one person who was as frustrated as me!

your wifi also stuck in turning on? i want to try this but i just want to make sure what state ur wifi is in.. because my wifi is stuck on "turning on" only.. im on stock 4.1.2 can you please post more details if you dont mind thanks!

My WIFI is off, and if I hit turn on, it got stuck on turn on. But if I were to back out and go back in, it would be on off again.
I'm using Kitkat
After awhile all i had to do to fix it was turn airplane mode on and off. But just the other day, I was flying so had my phone in airplane mode and now that won't fix it and neither will my original fix :crying:

I flashed Sonic 4.1.1 right after I got this phone (in November), and it worked awesome until last week when I tried to flash 4.2 on it.. I lost 4g and now it mostly stays on Edge.. Any ideas...? I did all the fixes I could find on XDA, I flashed back to factory,, Factory reset it, and everything I could think of... I'm stumped and my phone is slow..

Thanks mrhaley, I tried removing the RAT restrictions, and switching to Automatic, then choosing all lte, but still no good.. In fact All lte made me lose signal completely.. Any other ideas before I call At&t? haha

Try going back to stock and start all over or flash your current modem/Baseband and see what happens

Choose all lte first then automatic. Since your stuck on edge select all wcdma too. Just select automatic as the last thing you do before exiting that menu.

Well, you all helped me figure out how to get 4g, Now how do I get it to stay connected.. It will only stay connected for a few mins now, then it goes to E.. I can get 4 g at will now, but it won't stay connected...

Thanks for asking... Yes I did lose the IMEI, and had to restore it.. I also went to radio shack and got a new sim card. I have factory flashed and reset it and did all the steps on the link above..
I had downgraded back to Stock ROM 4.1.1 everything was fine.
But the WiFi is very sketchy. It stops or times out or something all the time. I can't seem to keep the wifi on.
Is there a workaround for this. I tried the trick of *#0011# and turn the wifi power save off but it doesn't stay off after a reboot it comes right back on. So I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any ideas?

Might need to update your wifi drivers.
Also could be coming from your router.
Do you know where I can get the wifi drivers? Or is it in a Kernel or something?

updated kernel would probably fix your issue. If it doesn't though, chances are that it's coming from your router or your router's settings.
I checked my router and its working fine. There is no problems with it. I am a computer technician. So I know there isn't anything wrong with it.
I have tried several kernels and they are all doing the same thing. I'm afraid I will just have to go back to an AOSP rom or something. I didn't have problems with them...
Ok so I just Odin'd T889UVUCMK7_T889TMBCMK7_TMB because I was having major WiFi issues with just enabling WiFi.
I tried many patches and many "fixes" none worked so I said ok well let me just go ahead and go to 4.3 MK7.
Well still the same thing, cannot enable WiFi, it acts like its going to enable it and then it gets greyed out again.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

No I'm on the stock MK7 rom....the only thing done is that its Rooted, but even before I rooted it still had the same WiFi problem, it will not activate at all. Nor will the bluetooth. Again I did an Odin Flash of it, so in essence thats basically like factory, but still can't get WiFi to work.
I'm at my end with this phone....I love it I've had it for 2yrs, but with no WiFi I'm lost.....because I will drain my 4G Data in no time.....

Backup your data and factory reset. If you are on a stock ROM and factory reset doesn't do the trick it is highly probable that the issue is hardware based.

Yes I have done that several times and still nothing. I have had it work for literally a few minutes then it dies out again. Like right now I haven't been able to activate wifi in 2 wks.....:crying:
Yea I think its time for a new phone....NOTE3 or better !!!
