If i flash boot.img then i m getting stuck at HTC logo screen and if i directly flash it from sd card then i m getting stuck at pacman logo screen. Seriously not getting whats the problem.
You have to flash the boot.img via fastboot (bootloader) and then perform a full wipe in the recovery and install the rom.zip

Boot into the bootloader and run fastboot erase cache
I have CID: 044 , was on 9.72 and used JB FW Easy Flasher & Fastboot Toolkit *Update 26-11 to update my hboot to 1.36.
Everything went fine, the HBoot got updated and I installed ARHD 15 and it said successful installed and after reboot it stays on the white screen with the HTC logo.
I tried everything possible.
Any advice on what to do?
boot.img
I assume you flashed it before flashing rom?
Yup, the JBFWFlasher tool flashes it for me or should I do it manually again after JBFWFlasher and before installing ARHD?

Cm10 doesn't work on new hboot with stock boot.img, search in the cm10 thread for modified boot.img
Sent from my One X
Problem solved
I downloaded ARHD again cause it turned out the MD5 cheksum of the first file wasn't correct and it worked and the JB ROM is working perfectly.
Thanks,
I know that there are similar thread's on this forum but I didn't find solution anywhere.
A couple of days ago I rooted my htc desire hd (android 2.3.5). After that I tried to flash several custom roms (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1876127 ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1839004 ; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840040). I entered recovery (btw I have clockworkmod 5.0.1.0), wiped data/factory reset, wiped cache partition and wiped dalvik cache. Then i installed custom rom. I rebooted my phone and it stuck on htc bootscreen for several hours.
If anyone has even some idea what to do, please post it. Tnx

no, tnx, i'll try that
Wait. The S-Off tool, AAHK, has been retired. You need to fastboot flash a EDIT: boot.img. Instructions are in post #7 of the the link in my signature. You need to do this each time you flash a ROM.
If you're s-on the procedure is to install the rom with whatever recovery you are using then you have to fastboot flash the roms boot.img
With s-on the boot.img cannot be flashed by the recovery.
Extract the boot.img from the rom zip and fastboot flash the boot.img from your pc
Hope this helps

Hi i have the exactly same problem. Rooted my stock DHD by easy root tool. so its unlocked but s-on(not that it should matter?)
I om on CMW touch from this forum and tried first to install Viper. but in aroma when i choose full wipe It stops in the installer and says innstall finish.
The only way it will install is to choose dirty install. then it installs but I'm stuck on HTC boot screen (the withe one)
I we tried to wipe cache. Dalvik. Factory. Mounted and un mounted everything. Different SD card. different CMW recovery, Fix recovery+++
Tried to find a versjon of ext4 zip that i can flash from cmw recovery i use now but havent found anything.
Iwe tried ruu but it says that it dosent support my rom.
Iwe gone back to ginger bread with android revolution 6.5.
But NOTHING helps nothing gets me past this F.......G boot screen.
My phone is bricked ? and I'm considering flushing it down the toilet =/
Coming from samsung and several years of flashing I always had ODIN to rely on if something went on.
This is my first HTC and it will be the last if i dont manage to fix this.
Please help me . and please explain it simple- to a htc noob.
Thanks
It Worked!!!

yes flashing a rom for the one xl is the same as flashing a rom which is intended for a samsung or sony phone, it's a completely different phone so won't work!
firstly you need a different recovery, get philz touch recovery and flash it, that will solve the touchscreen problem.
Now do a full wipe from recovery, data, system, cache and sdcard.
load another rom onto sdcard.
flash the boot.img from the rom and then do the command "fastboot erase cache". This is very important and may possibly be why magio wouldn't boot
now flash the rom and enjoy.

Now your device restored 4.1.1 rom ? If so flash Philz_Touch recovery then install the OTA.zip via recovery, after that flash boot.img from OTA, then fastboot erase cache > reboot.

Dear all
I attempted to CM12/Lollipop ROM (http://onexroot.com/one-x-roms/how-to-install-cm12lollipop-rom-on-htc-one-x/)
All went well. I followed instructions exactly including flashing boot.img. I encountered no errors during the flashing
However now i am in a boot loop with the CM smiley face remaining on the screen indefinitely.
I have HBOOT 1.31. Could that be an issue?
Any ides please?
Yes i have the international One X if anyone asks
Thanks
Geoff
