[SOLVED]Note II Screen Mode - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi
I was trying to delete some useless system apps on my At&t galaxy note ii. I guess I deleted something and now it would not let me change "screen mode" in settings.
I am able to choose any screen mode, but nothing changes it stays the same. If I reinstall the rom I will get the functionality back but I wish to know what file in /system/apps is the reason for this so that i can restore that file(s) and still keep the useless apps out. Can anyone help me here...?
I am using skynote air G2 note 3 edition.
THANKS A LOT IN ADVANCE.

Did you install another kernel? I've seen that happen with Agni Kernel. There is a separate display section in Agni Control settings that controls the screen mode.

@geetmadan1991
Did you resolve your problem with Skynote Air G2?? With your screen setting? Btw it's the same thing I'm using atm...

I have same problem.
I really want to change to movie mode, but I don't know how to do.
Would you explain about "a separate display section in Agni control settings"?
Thanks....

Look under MDNIE HIJACK. There are only two settings in there I believe. Hopefully one of them suit your needs.

The option to keep the screen on while charging seems to be missing... is there any way I can enable it since it's no longer in the settings at all, as far as I can tell...

Juggernaut, the ROM has it as a setting. As far as I know that's the only ROM you can do that with.
in the STOCK Tmo ROM it's listed as
Stay awake
Screen will never sleep while charging
on/off feature
in Settings > Applications > Development
i know... the most non related area to put that feature in
they should have put it in Display or something obvious

That's where it is in most other phones/ROMs, but it is NOT in the stock tmo ROM. Unfortunately.

my bad i guess that's from the Juggernaut ROM then
yeah, i'm so used to seeing it there in CM and stock AOS ROMs
Can a Dev confirm if the stock ROM has the capability for this option, by adding a line in like build.prop or something?

I hate to bump, but is there seriously no ROM chef here that knows how to enable this on stock roms?

Try the app "StayAwake". The app lets you toggle to stay awake while plugged into a AC/USB.
Just be careful... AMOLED will burn in.

This option is enabled in our rom Juggernaut which is based on the stock TMO rom. So the answer is obviously yes to all of the above lol.
on my phone at least, this option is reset every time i reboot. it did it with the android tweak app before and after i rooted and it has done that with the juggernaut rom with every release they have put out.

[Q] Red Rectangle flashing border..?

Couldn't find anything in the Nexus forum about this.
Since this afternoon i'm getting a red flashing rectangle around the border of the screen when opening or closing apps. Doesnt mather wich app or in what rotate state. It's very irregular to get a pattern or pin down a problem. I have checked al settings to see if there is anything i might have set up by accident....
Also rebooting etc. doesn't help.
Please help anybody !!
Sounds like one of the developer options; show screen updates or show all anr's perhaps

Nope, i have looked at the developer settings, all options unchecked, nothing set there. (except the usb debug standard option, and no, turning that off doesn't help either)
Possibly hardware problem?
Got the phone about 4 days now and haven't had any problems. So far this is a great phone . I haven't had any problems with hardware

This is a setting in engineering builds of ICS. If you have the first version of eagles blood running, it does this. It is a simple change to the build.prop to fix it, though I am not sure what the fix is exactly

Is such a fix possible on original non rooted stock rom ?
And then to have the actual fix would be nice.
Mine was doing this until I flashed 4.02. Only randomly started when I was on 4.01.

Hmm ok. So I gotta wait until the next update then.

Try checking then unchecking the developer settings mentioned. I'm not covinced it will change anything, but it won't do any harm to try...
i think this is what "strict mode" in the developer settings does, try checking then unckecking that one...

Had the same problem, and thought it wasn't strict mode until I rebooted! Try unchecking strict mode, then reboot...should fix it...

[Q] How to get notification light to work?

I just flashed liquid rom rc8 with the 4.2 transformation add-on to Samsung Galaxy S3.
Under settings>display>notification light I've enabled it, tried different custom values.
I have battery light enabled as well. But the LED's just don't work. I've tried wiping clean 3 times and re-flashing, it still doesn't work.
WEIRD THING is when I click the test button and turn off the screen, the LED's will work according to the custom values I tried. But if it's not under test mode, it doesn't work at all. This has been bugging me for days!
I've never really had to post a question because I've always been able to search for the right answers somewhere. I can't even post this question under the development section because I just created this account and they need me to post 10 posts first...... -_-
But nobody has this same issue as me?
Reboot to get them to work?

try wiping data and reflashing the rom. It should work.

Screen rotation is reversed. Need help

This may sound wired but it's true, when I rotate my phone to play any games or anything else the screen always rotates the opposite way it was turned so that my screen is always upside down unless in portrait mode and is quite annoying.
Any help is greatly appreciated

Did you flash a custom kernel not made for your phone (Verizon,T-Mobile,etc)? This is the only time I have heard of this problem.

Yeah exactly what he said. Flashing a Verizon kernel will do that.

You got it from Original Developement-Zeus kernal http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207191, cause I also downloaded it and had the same video problem. I believe the kernel was ported from Verizon's GS3.

Should be under device options- sensors- enable backlight section

I don't see this on the 4.3 rom, are you sure that's not just stock?
I've been trying to get an answer to this question since the Google Edition rom hit the internets. Good luck brother. If you are on CM or AOKP, these roms have the option built in and can be found in the Device tab in the settings menu. Any other kind of rom, it seems to be a mystery. I have spent hours trying to figure it out to no avail.

elesbb said in the thread that I started about this, (a couple threads down from this one) that he might be able to write an app that would work with our phone to disable the backlights. I am about to donate a bit to him and request it. I'm sure he would be more willing to make it if more people showed interest
Try apk at top of this thread page.
