Navigation Bar Height - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a ROM that allows you to change the navigation bar's height to something smaller?
Or, must I edit framework-res.apk? If yes, how?
tks!

Not that this is a direct answer to your question but, I think this thread might have the information you are looking for.
I've used zipthemer before and it was a breeze but, it looks like you have the options of tuning your own keys with some of these methods. I used zipthemer to install custom softkeys before but, now I just use the utility included in the new Eclipse JB build 8 to completely customize my navbar. The Eclipse rom is here.

Thank you, but my problem is to change the icons of custom apps in navigation bar.
The icons of standard softkeys are in SystemUI/res/drawable-xhdpi, but I don't see the icons of any application that I insert in navigation bar!

You would change the icon of the app itself from within its apk.
Sent from my AOSP Android 4.1.1 Galaxy Nexus
Yes, this is a possibility but my question is clare: I would like to know what is technically the file to edit.

Q: Change navigation buttons on root/stock

Is there a way to change the navigation buttons on my rooted but stock Nexus 4? I'm interested in changing the size of the navigation bar and the icons. Thanks

[REQ] Signal / Wi-fi on the left side of status bar

Is there any ziptheme mod, or does anyone know what do I have to edit to have those icons on the left side of the staus bar?
Thanks in advance.

(This really should be in Q&A section) But there is a way. You can edit the statusbar.xml (res/layout/) to put the signal cluster before the notification icons. and then you can edit signal_cluster_view.xml (or signal_cluster_view_generic.xml on sense roms) to reorder wifi and signal bars, so that it looks nicer. try that.

If youre new to this sort of stuff this would be hard. You would have to decompile systemui.apk and as ive said, modify the layout file to move signal cluster view to the begining of the status bar

How do I change the DPI of the statusbar?

I'm trying to change the DPI of the statusbar on my G3. I'm rooted with TWRP, running a stock version of L 5.0, with Xposed installed with Tweaksbox and Gravitybox.
I've changed the DPI of the whole screen and made the navbar even smaller using tweaksbox.
I can't find where I can change the height of the statusbar to match the navbar. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks

You can't change the DPI of the statusbar as far a I know. It just changes when you change the DPI of the whole system

Thanks for the reply. Is there no other way to adjust the height of the statusbar? Changing text in the build.prop?
I would have thought you could change it the same as you can the navbar. I know you can change the DPI of individual apps.

You can't change it in the build.prop in there you can only change the dpi of the whole system. I don't think there is another place to change it because this never ocured to me. When I change dpi the statusbar changes with it so
