Crashing when trying to look for email.
I have removed it and cleared cache and reinstalled I still get the same thing. I'm on unrooted 4.4.2.

That option is not there under sync.. I tried that first.
I did however try the Setup app.. when it gets to set up your google account it force closes every time..
Seems this is on Google's end?

Yeah.. but only the HTC gmail shows up.. no Google..
I read on some other forums that this has occurred a lot on different phones the past day. This seems all Google.
Google+ won't even work

FWIW, I'm not having any trouble syncing with Google, but I don't have a Google+ account.
If you have already rebooted, and even done a *228 and Option 1 to confirm programming, then knipp is probably right.
Market and Google apps were messed for me a couple days after the OTA Gingerbread update. Same thing happened to a couple other people. You need to factory reset.
My Google contacts disappeared after the last OTA..and I couldn't add an account... Factory reset is only thing that worked..
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
Really? Ugh.. I don't wanna factory reset haha
Sent from my ADR6350 using XDA App
Well this blows. I havent lost any contacts but my phone seems very sluggish and some emails are not showing up. I restarted 2x and resynced my accts. Still nothing.
Will a factory reset cause me to lose all my contacts, pictures, apps, etc?!
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
It won't erase your pictures or anything else on your SD card. If your contacts are synced with Google, then they'll restore after you go through the setup again. Apps may be restored through Google, (not 100% sure if the stock rom does this), but you won't have your app data such as game saves, settings, etc.
Yea factory restore is kind of a pain. But it may help in the long run. It's always good to put a new OS on a clean system. Factory restore resolved my issues.

Factory restore should fix.

I may be able to root..

I am getting an insufficient storage error every time I try to download app from market, I have tried to clear cache and data and fix permissions but that doesn't work... Any thoughts?

1. Try removing Google account, reboot, add account manually, see if it works.
2. Do data wipe, add Google account manually.

I'm running wicked v8 and for some reason gmail will not update thru play store. I tried side loading it as well and it's a no go. I cleared play store cache and deleted old version. Any more suggestions?

If you delete the current one through Titanium Backup, then install it again through the Play Store it should work. That's the standard procedure, and I actually did just that an hour or two ago so I could get the new Gmail 4.3.

Mine updated without any issues. Were you still using the Gapps system version?

Did light flow start messing up for you after updating? I read that it was having issues, but the dev for it put out an update to it, but we can't update light flow since it's baked in...

For some reason my play store keeps crashing, I've tried rebooting my phone, even clearing the data and ram from the play store... I don't get it..
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Rooted? Rom? Kernel? Mods?
Have you cleared data and uninstalled updates? Then reboot and give it time to reupdate?
Try to Remove google account and re-enter info.
If no go then Reflash your rom

Completely stock, nothing custom. I've tried clearing it from the apps. I'll try to uninstall updates.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Tried deleting the play updates, still same issue.. this is so frustrating.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
You may need to do the same on some other Google apps such as Google services framework and maybe a couple others that work along side the play store app. Can't remember them all right off hand.
When you say you're completely stock does this also mean you are not rooted? If you are rooted you can use titanium backup to backup all Google apps and data. Then clear data one by one till you find the culprit and then restore data for everything else.
Did you try deleting your account?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Completely stock, as I'm not rooted or anything. I tried everything, then I factory reset and its fixed.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Glad you got it fixed. I figured a factory reset would do it but was trying to help avoid it. But sometimes it's the only way....

Ok so i was running the note 2/3 rom I forget what it's called and my phone was randomly rebooting itself. So i wiped everything did a factory reset and went to install my old apps and i kept getting this stupid error when stuff from the market went to install. The same exact apps that were running on the same exact rom. So then i got fed up and wiped everything and installed the sks mk4 rom and I still have the same issue. What is going on with this?

Did you wipe the internal sdcard?

I found a little trick on the interwebs. Open up TB. Once it finishes loading, hit the menu key. Select batch operations. Scroll down and select the orphan data choice. Fixed me up a few times.

Well try the titanium backup method mentioned hopefully that will help. When changing roms it is alwats best to wipe your internal sdcard to avoid these kind of issues.

I had this last week. Couldn't get gmail to install, then a different app. Since I was using philz, there wasn't a fix permissions. If you're not using that recovery, try fixing permissions. If you are, use the app rom toolbox lite to fix it.
Ok so the titanium backup method worked as far as I can tell. Everything has installed since I did that. Now my problem is for some reason xda app keeps disappearing. The icon stays on my home screen but disappears from my app drawer. When I click on the shortcut on my home screen it tells me app isn't installed. Then I have to go to play store re install it and click the same shortcut and it opens
