Hi guys, I'm rooted and still on 4.2.2 at the moment with dual recovery installed. I just want to make a complete restore of the phone, getting rid of the recovery and root along the way. Can someone tell me if this is possible? On my old G Pad, I could just use the LG Mobile Support Tool which was very simple. Is there a similar way for the Xperia Z1 Compact?
I went from cm11 to 4.4.2 I just flashed the z1c stock 4.4.2 ftf with flashtool and everything was back normal, no recovery and not rooted
You need to get the 4.2.2 ftf for your phone and flash that,

i managed to return to stock 4.2.2 with the Sony PC Companion. Then I tried to flash the stock 4.4.2 with Flashtool but then I just get stuck into a boot loop after that. Could you let me know how you did it?
Try and flash again. I originally unlocked the bootloader then went from 4.2.2 to 4.4.2 with flash tool

If you flash, say a stock ftf Rom you will not get dooms start up logo display, that is unless you then fastboot dooms kernel.

Okay, if you flash a stock ftf using flashtool it should boot up. Maybe your flashtool is corrupt, try downloading a fresh copy and a fresh ftf, surly then it should work.

You need the Kernel of the MIUI, im has the same issue, and done flashing with new kernel. Good Luck.

Hi all this is my first post.
Yesterday I flashed a rom (can't remember the Name) and my phone got stuck on the Sony Ericsson screen. From Flashtool I re-Flashed The stock kernel and my phone worked again, only my phone was unrooted, all my apps were gone and it wouldn't load cwm recovery, which has a backup of my phone before with all my apps, contacts and stuff. it also has nxtBeAn rom on the SD card that I installed and disliked.
Please help me to somehow root my phone again (DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su failed to root it and so did Gingerbreak V4) so I can get all my contacts, messages, apps and passwords back.
Thanks

Was rooted.

I think you flashed. 62 frmw, it can't be rooted go flash lower one eg: .42 or. 58(420mb data partition) then root

You can try this modded stock kernel with recovery to restore the backup: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421978

sadly it didn't work. I tried flashing 4.0.2.A.0.42 and when the phone booted in the about phone it still says im on .62 build number and 2.6.32.9-perf kernel version.
I then tried flashing 4.0.1.A.0.283 and it Still says im on .62.
Not sure how to overwrite with a rootable build number and kernel.

1. I wanted to know that is it possible to downgrade using flashtool e.g if i flash a custom rom which is based on firmware .55 but then i flash with flash tool, version .50, would it work?
2. By flashing through flash tool, can i get rid of CWM?
1) yes
2) yes
Assuming you have an unlocked bootloader and you mean flashing ftf files

No. I'm not planning on unlocking bootloader but yes i was referring to ftf files. DOes it change the scenario?
Anyone?
The custom rom part put me off, sorry about that.
You can use flashtool to flash a stock ftf firmware over any custom rom. (also with a locked bootloader.
You could downgrade even to a gingerbread rom if you want

Ok and by flashing stock ftf, i would get rid of even clockwork right? in case of sending it to repair centre.
Thing is, i have played around with custom roms on different phones for ages but the whole part of unlocking bootloader etc is all new to me so before i begin flashing roms.
Yes it would remove cwm since it's embedded in the kernels and since stock firmware kernels don't have cwm it will be removed by flashtool when flashing a stock firmware rom

First flash stock Kernel, and then Relock, If you relock/upgrade your FW, before reverting to stock kernel, your phone might soft-brick..

Hi there,
I unlocked, rooted and installed a custom recovery and rom on the Xperia S from a friend. Now he told me, that he would like to have everything stock again. How can I remove twrp from that device again? And is there a stock rom (even pre-rooted, but full stock) that is flashable through twrp?
Thank you
Instal stock ftf and than root via v root if u want.
Go in development section for stock ftf.

But one last question, how do I flash that ftf?
