Unless someone has a fresh backup with nothing on it most people will not share a backup since it contains all their personal data from contacts to Emails to text messages and call history. Just saying it is not something you want to share unless you have a virgin backup.

My phone efs is destoyed, the phone does not power on with official firmware, it powers on but I can only see the battery logo and signal bar and I have no access to setting menu, I want to turn on the usb debug, so then I will be able to repair efs,
is there any way to turn on usb debug with other tricks?

It sounds to me like EFS isn't your issue - You mustn't have done a proper wipe when coming from ICS/JB before going back to GB.
Download CWM, wipe the phone and format /system (I really hope that you have already backed up your EFS. I didn't have an original backup and I'm struggling to restore my factory one. I've been using generic IMEI for I don't know how long and didn't notice until juts the other day)
Anyways, from CWM go into mounts, format /system wipe data etc etc etc.
Reboot your phone holding the Volume UP ... Launch Odin and flash the OEM firmware which can be downloaded from samfirmware.com.

Your recovery version is pretty old, considering cwm 6.0.3.6 is the newest...
So is there anyway to fix this ?
Download ROM Manager from the PlayStore and let it install the latest CWM, or download GooManager and have it install TWRP.
So far as the computer, you'll need to be more specific about 'talk to'.
Might need drivers, might need a new cable, can't tell from what you said.
I think if he wiped already he wont be able to download from the play store, if im reading the OP correctly, you already wiped the device, you flashed the 4.2.2 or 4.2 and it aborted..correct?
Step 1. Okay here's what you can do since the PC isnt reading your phone, reboot or restart your pc put phone in odin/download mode and see if it reads it now. If it does Odin a stock rooted rom, then get goomanger from the play store and install open script recovery which will give you the twrp recovery, then you can attempt the flash again of the 4.2 based rom.
Step 2. If it still isnt reading after a pc restart load your old rom on an sd card and try to flash the old tw rom with that older cwm recovery and see if you can get back at least to a tw rom. If that doesnt work then pull the battery out your phone let it sit for 2min, put the battery back in and get into odin/download mode, and see if pc recognizes the device and connection, if it doesnt, download kies and it might help with the connection issue.
Did that help bro. Let me know?

Op stated the he made a full backup. Should be able to boot directly into recovery and restore the backup?
thanks for the info everyone . the operating system is gone so no luck on play store.
mrkevo3000 yes the roms got aborted half way its weird why it would do that.... my phone has always had issues.
just like that as i am typing this my phone is now recognized by odin so i will what you said load up stock and the reflash my backup and then update cwm.
I will try and update and againg to 4.2.2 and let you know what happens.
I have seen so many flavors any preference one somethiong that might work on i747m ?
ill update this after recovering my phone and attempting reflash.
Also for some reason my sd card is not recognized by cwm and it is only looking at internal again never did this to me before thats why i got stuck.
Last time i attempted a update for some reason my apn settings were locked and could not be changed.
I did the same stupid thing myself. Really can not believe I did it but i was rushing and didn't read what it was, thinking i was doing something else. Was not worried as I had my trusty nandriod backup -.- . I guess I can consider myself lucky as i took it to telus hoping they would buy my story and they sent it to the samsung repair center. Worried all week that if they checked it would be clear i had voided the warranty and i would be paying a high repair cost or buying a new phone. Well I got the phone back an hour ago and they fixed it.... no charge. I guess I can consider myself very lucky.

I would use odin 1.85 and odin a rooted stock 4.1.2 rom.. then go to the playstore and download goomanger and get the teamwin recovery, by hitting menu inside goomanger app, and installing the open script recovery which will install the teamwin recovery, you can flash any pure google rom with that recovery, before you do make a nandroid of your current setup and then flash away, get into a habit of doing at least one back and check the md5 hash of the roms before you flash away... download using your pc instead of phone browsers, sometimes mobile browsers corrupt the files.

[Q] Probably defective EFS - how to restore?

Hey,
My phone somehow got messed up (Unable to mount /efs) and what I had to do is create a new partition and link it. It solved most of my problems (EFS was usable again and I could install roms etc).
What happened though is I can't register to a mobile network. After doing my share research I came to a conclusion that probably my EFS is messed up and it could be the reason why.
Now, I don't have EFS backup from before this problem started, as I was using stock rom and not rooted.
Is it gonna do me any good if I take an EFS backup from someone ELSE and try to restore it on my phone??
If yes, anyone mind doing me the favor of sending me their EFS Backup?
If not, what else can I do?
I have tried the following:
1) Install various modems
2) Install various roms
3) Downgrade to 4.3, install modem and kernel and upgrading again
4) I even took my phone to a shop and they used some equipment to burn my imei
I am currently using:
DN3 rom v5.2
CWM Recovery
Thanks
Edit: Solved by doing efs repair with the equipment thingy

[Q] Debloating Tab S 10.5 LTE

Best option is to flash a debloated rom.
Nah then i cant install some of the stock apps i want. Some roms that are debloated wont work with some stock apps like kids mode. I prefer stock so i can pick the apps i dont wont.

I've been looking for some time, I couldn't find any - not that I'm an expert at this.
Besides, I don't even know how to handle roms and recoveries and stuff.
Now I manually deleted the multi-window apk, and I see some improvement - though it may be psychological.
Random fact, putting the apk file back in there doesn't make the multi-window work anymore - not that I care, but still.
What kind of lte model you have on your tab s. And to debloat properly use titanium backup so if something goes wrong when deleting the apk, you can restore it back. Tell me your model and what carrier your on. There may be a recovery for you to backup your whole rom in case of a problem you get.

I do use Titanium Backup to freeze apps, now it's pretty much stock android.
However the multi-window apk wasn't present in TB, I had to move the apk itself from system/app.
My model is SM-T805 Exynos, without really a carrier. It's only like this here in Italy.
As for roms, I honestly couldn't understand how to work with them. I couldn't even find how to setup a custom recovery on this device.
For TWRP Recovery just install TWRP Manager from Play Store. It does install its Recovery by just a click. Root required though.
To install any ROM just download the zip-file, start TWRP Manager, and click install zip. It will do the rest. It is just some clicks. Adding a kernel zip is just the same. Very easy.
I've installes Selamba ROM (T-705). Much snappier, just by some debloating. For T-805 there are some other, similar ROMs around here.

Thanks, but the whole process of recoveries is still very unclear to me lol.
Anyway I managed to get the multiwindow feature back to work by editing its apk permission to be the same of the other system apps. And I found out that it's called flashbarservice, which allowed me to find it and freeze it in Titanium Backup, so now it's all ok.
Just one problem, since when I started messing around with debloating, my wifi settings reset every reboot, and I can't find why.
(and my wifi connection seems to drop a lot, too - but not sure if it's because of what I touched)
There are 3 partitions to boot into:
a) regular
b) recovery
c) download mode
Recovery can do recoveries (obviously), and can also install custom images to the regular partition.
Anyway, you don't need to know much about internals. TWRP Manager does it in the background, you just do some clicks - no messing around with the recovery directly. Installing new ROM is much easier than freezing several Apps and Services. Also you get several tweaks plus the updated ROM version (this one for your T-805 is based on NG2).
To find out what device you got to install twrp, is to install an app called cpuz, then go the the systems tab and it should say sm-t805( model name). The (modelname) is what model you would choose when install twrp. Twrp was pretty safe for me to install. I just had to pick my model and install and reboot into recovery then bam its there. Im not sure if there is twrp for t805 models. But ill do a google search. Hope this helps! To fix your wifi yoj probaly have to install another rom. If you can, can you list the things u debloated.
Nope no twrp for lte. Sucks!
The 8.4 wifi twrp works also for the LTE version. So I guess it is the same for the 10.5 LTE tab, at least, for the Exynos version.
With best regards, maris

Ok I've installed TWRP and made a backup. Now I wonder, I put the backup on my PC otherwise the tablet storage would be completely full.
What will I do in the case my tablet will not boot so I won't be able to put the backup into the tablet to restore it?
update: Backup of 4gb has been going for a good 3h, I'd imagine something has gone wrong lol.
rebooted, tried again, took 3 mins now lol.
When backing up your tab s i put compression on so the file can be smaller. I also made a copy to my pc in case some goes wrong with my tab s. It case your tab s doesnt boot, wait till battery dies then charge it. After it has been charged, hold the power, volume up and home key at the same time to get into twrp. Then hit restore and pick you backup. There has been problems backing up with sd card so i wouldnt suggest that.

No I mean I moved the backup from tablet to PC, and deleted it from the tablet afterwards. How would I be able to use that backup if I can't even boot to paste it inside?
Anyway, I did make a compressed backup just now, and just to try, I wanted to see if moving it from tablet to pc, and then back to tablet would still be recognizable, and here is the problem, windows explorer won't let me paste the backup folder. what do lol
You can paste it inside. It has to do something with adb or transferring it to twrp, backups. In twrp you can paste stuff into it even though your bootlooped. As long you can get into twrp you be fine. Not sure about the copying and pasting part but ill try to find more info on it and post it here. Theres a way to transferr the file from your pc to twrp. And when you backed up in twrp did you check every box (boot, cache, recovery, etc) because i found out that if you dont, you may have an problem with connecting to your carrier and would have to take it back to get it fixed. Anyway ill take a look at transferring files and get back to you

I figured I'd be able to just paste it inside, but something was wrong with my tablet after I stupidly tried the Fix Permissions tool in TWRP. It made me a sub-user or something, I couldn't even delete my own files like pictures. Scary thing was that it retained through a factory reset. Seems to have been working now after doing a complete wipe.
However when I restore the backup I was talking about in the post above, it makes my permissions broken there too, even if I'm sure it was all ok by when I made that backup.
I don't understand. I'm worried that if I make another backup of the stable situation now it will revert back to faulty permissions or something lol.
(I did manage to get the backup files in the tablet by putting them into a rar and transferring it, and decompressing it through the tablet itself - because moving the folder directly gave me an error - no, not about size)

Bluetooth problem after flashing TWRP

Hi,
I flashed TWRP on my unlocked Redmi Note 8T with MIUI Global 12.5.5. Everything was great until I rebooted it and saw Bluetooth error which pops every time I try to turn Bluetooth on or just randomly during usage of the device. I also tried to re-flas TWRP with Orange fox but it unfortunatelly did not help. Now I have no idea what to do but there are also some other people with this problem (for example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/y9zsak
).
Does anybody know any solution? Thanks!
Btw Orange fox is for ginko devices, I did not find version for willow
I had the exact same problem when I tried to root my stock rom in ginkgo. I was getting a lot of "app keeps stopping" pop ups, and that also included bt. My bt was completely broken until I changed rom. Also I'm guessing this had happened when I had rooted my phone with magisk, not by flashing recovery itself. Perhaps you could try to uninstall magsik, and see it it resolves the issue for you. If that would be the case, then you would have found your problem, and maybe you can flash a custom rom to safely root your phone.
Thanks for reply, but i did not have magisk flashed on my phone. I only had installed the app, prepared apk file and did nothing in TWRP (Orange fox) , just flashed a recovery with my PC, checked that it is working and rebooted device. Anyway I tried to do it only because of acces to NFC and Gpay which is now blocked.
As you also said, I would like to try custom rom (like LineageOS) because it seems like bad idea to have a stock room on an unlocked phone. Only the problem is how to backup data like data from apps, games etc.
So now it tried one of my ideas, which was to install Magisk (root) and uninstall it but it also did not help (I expected that)

To backup data simply copy your personal files in pc or sdcard. And to backup data in apps, take back-up of only those apps and where you need to backup. Don't take a complete backup using some app. That consumes a lot of space and make the newly rom feel "not so new". Most apps don't require you to take back-up offline these days. I usually backup only my personal files before flashing rom.
Yeah, that's true. But don't you know how to backup data from these "offline" apps? I was trying to solve this also before unpocking bootloader like a year ago but unsuccessfuly.
Also, which rom should I choose? I'm deciding between LineageOS and Pixel experience.
So I have LOS installed but I can´t install other zip files (like Google apps). Im only getting error: signature verification failed while. Im using LOS recovery so where is the problem?
Solved it!
Hey @vasik006 ! I know this is very late and you might have found the solution yourself, but I found the solution to this problem. Since yesterday I was trying to root my ginkgo with twrp, using magisk delta and had exact same issue. Joyose and bluetooth keeps stopping, and don't work. Simply factory reset ( I also formatted data) in twrp, and in next boot bluetooth should work. Then you can simply install the magisk apk and let it do its thing. No need to flash again since it has already made changes to boot file that can't be overriden by resetting phone.
Thanks, this might help someone else with this problem. I have already formatted my phone, installed Lineage OS and everything is ok
For me, the problem with BT and Joyose occurs only with TWRP v3.7.x. I went back to TWRP v3.6.1_9-0 but now backups are not working.

TWRP is invaluable for backing up the system before making changes like theming etc. and I can take a TWRP backup to any of my (all the same) devices and restore the whole thing in just a few minutes. So convenient! I really couldn't imagine life without TWRP. TWRP enables me to clone my device in case of hardware failure. All my settings and all my apps and all my custom configurations which would otherwise take hours/days to setup - BAM! Presto! on the new device and running perfectly.
TWRP + NeoBackup are essential. TWRP as described, and NeoBackup to roll back breaking updates to apps when devs butcher them, break them, and/or just remove really useful features. I also disconnect apps that get ruined by an update from the Play Store so they don't keep coming up when I check for updates.

I would advise you to read the posts again. They were asking about how to take backup of "personal apps" which twrp can't do, and if they are changing ROM then twrp backup won't be of any use to them. Therefore, whatever you're trying to tell here doesn't really help the discussion.

TWRP does backup personal apps and their settings. Once you restore a TWRP backup, you have everything back except media files - images, videos, documents, etc. The launcher icons, the apps, the system settings - everything is a perfect clone which you can restore on a new device (same model, of course).
I actually came across this thread searching to see if others had a problem where merely flashing TWRP caused Bluetooth to crash (and Atmos).
Use OrangeFox
is there anyone use BT-fix-for-PE-20190618.zip to fix this problem ?
I'm on an ROG Phone II with the same issue.
The "fix" is to wipe in TWRP and install Magisk BEFORE you leave for your first boot and NEVER come back to TWRP as the issue will return the second recovery is booted.

From what I can tell, this is correct. 3.6_XX-X allows me to come and go from TWRP as much as I please without incurring the bug, however, I haven't tested backup though I can't see a reason why they wouldn't work.
Are these existing backups that aren't working or the whole backup function in general?

I have recently flashed miui 12 (android 10) after bricking the phone using qtel. I noticed the Bluetooth problem last week and didn't find a fix. I have twrp 3.6.2 and magisk 25.1. I had twrp 3.7.1 but if failed to decrypt data using pattern so I rolled back to 3.6.2. And I thought that magisk had to do with the Bluetooth problem so I rolled back to 25.1 from 26.
I still can't use the Bluetooth, and I don't have time to reset the phone, I just finished restoring everything
I CAN CONFIRM
go back to the previous twrp 3.6.2 version + wipe factory reset or simply format data solve sucesfuly solve installation issue of Magisk 26.1 or Magisk Delta 25210

I can't afford resetting my phone right now , don't have enough time. I'll let it like that for some months.
Edit : I have miui 12.0.6 installed (android 10) and I'm not planning to upgrade since I have much better battery life (even better than every mod I tried). I wander if I flash miui rom from recovery can fix it?
Edit 2: flashing the rom from recovery didn't fix it
