lg stop korea g pro(F240S,240L) KITKAT update
cause some of phone have hardware break after kitkat update
so now, can't update kitkat......
Got a source for it?
It's not due to any hardware "break". They have temporarily stopped the updating process because of various pesty bugs that significantly increased the users visiting/calling their service center. Here's the official announcement. It basically says the kitkat update has been temporarily suspended to make it more stable but will resume in early April.

The same for F240k

The biggest annoyance that I've faced is, that the mic doesn't work in Viber, Skype, and other VoIP apps!
it sucks!

That's my point. The announcement was made for the domestic models in Korea as it's mentioned many times it's for F240 models. For international models you should seek information from your local LG or the carrier.

Where? I don't see anything in Kies, with or without register hacks.
I think because they are one of the last countries to get the Galaxy S! they also payed 1 million in research and development to Swype, so they can make it in Japanese language. They are trying to come up with the next big thing so users come over from Softbank (the only provider of iPhone in Japan). Android is exploding here in Japan now!

I believe it. The understanding I got this past update was too shut us up about the issues and bugs. So LG can get the phone ready for 4.3 later this year

I'm confused. Does this have any bearing on us Optimus G owners? It just looks like an OS release schedule, without any implications on whether we'll get updates from LG. Either way, cool to see that 4.4 isn't too distant.
Its googles release schedule .. So it gives a pretty good idea when kitkat comes out.... Hopefully their won't be tons of threads about it since everyone can look here and see ... I will update as I learn more ...

Not bad...I have to carry 2 phones : G3 and G4. XD.
They selected me because for my loyal support of LG products.
This WiFi model cost $329. The first 276 ppl who submitted the form will get it and I think I get because after I signed up it showned LG G4 will sent to me soon.

Maybe the future will be wi-fi only devices and smart watches that have SIM/radio and can act as a hot spot?
Tmous announced June 2 for them.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using XDA Free mobile app
its coming out on June 2nd for T-mobile
It is only available in LG's home nation of South Korea. U.S. release date for the G4 may be coming this summer, otherwise you can purchase it from amazon.com but they are not providing any support or warranty at the time.
Good Luck

If you mean T-Mobile they did not officially announce that yet & the leaked twitter post was removed that said June 2.
However I'd expect that date from them since they were quick to delete the tweet - no one else in USA has announced or leaked dates yet.
You are most welcome
Most likely it's going to be first week of June..Can't wait. Looking to upgrade
My contact says pre-orders will go live on May 28th. No word on colors at this time.

Does this mean someone with the T-Mobile version can soon flash it? Like, is there a way to take what's out there and make it flashable for other carriers?

Yes it would be flash able if someone gets the update zip. As long as you're on the version its expecting to update.
Unlock device on vzw still waitng though -sigh- us unlocked boys got shafted on this device
So when my device unlocked after the 60 days, I flashed the U1 firmware. I tried to go back to Verizon firmware so I could accept the update to try out A10 but Odin kept failing. I looked it up and it says the downloaded version is older than installed. Is there any work around? I'm using the U1 with December Security Patch. Thanks
