I downloaded it, but question;
It says its for the bell variant, I am assuming this would work 100% on the bell version but what about the Rogers version?

My advice would be to wait for a flashable option. They are always safer. I nieve the given advice is never to Odin software for another carrier.

Is it weird that they would release JB in Canada so soon after the latest (minor) ICS OTA update? Maybe the ICS OTA is laying some groundwork for the JB that was missing in the previous ICS?

To install you have to have stock phone on latest update.

Yea, I might just root and flash CM10. I just wanted to stay away from the flashing game, did it on my G1 and SGS1.

[Q] No lockscreen shortcuts

Hi, I have a Galaxy Note 8.0 with firmware version XXBMD1. It seems almost everywhere (youtube videos, reviews), the Galaxy Note 8.0 features the capability of putting shortcut icons on the lock screen. However, I can't find such a setting on mine (it's not in the settings->lockscreen->Options). Do I have to do something else to enable it, or does my version of the device and/or firmware simply not have that setting? Anyone else with the problem?

Hello,
I have the same problem.
@laestrella, in my settings app I have all options like in your screenshot, except for "Shortcuts" and "Information Ticker". The list starts with clock, weather etc.
I also have the latest firmware installed (N5110XXBMD1)
How can this be?! Anyone got an idea?

Edit: Here a screenshot from my device. It's in German, the five items say "Clock", "Weather", "Ripple effect", "Ink effect", "Help text".

As I already mentioned in my initial posting, I don't have that option. I suppose it isn't in my version of the firmware (german 4.1.2).

I have the German rom (MD1 for DBT csc) on my 3g unit and i have the option

Did you guys try updating software? Weird you don't have that option, that's for sure.

My note is telling me that there's no update available. I'm on 4.1.2. Is there a newer version? If so, how do I update?

Thanks for the tip, but according to SamMobile, I'm on the latest available firmware N5110XXBMD1 for Germany.
OTA-Update also tells me that I'm up-to-date.
It seems that the German Firmware is somehow broken or missing these features Very annyoing, hopefully this will be fixed soon.

I believe it. The understanding I got this past update was too shut us up about the issues and bugs. So LG can get the phone ready for 4.3 later this year

I'm confused. Does this have any bearing on us Optimus G owners? It just looks like an OS release schedule, without any implications on whether we'll get updates from LG. Either way, cool to see that 4.4 isn't too distant.

Its googles release schedule .. So it gives a pretty good idea when kitkat comes out.... Hopefully their won't be tons of threads about it since everyone can look here and see ... I will update as I learn more ...

We had the 4.4.2 r2 before... It will definitely come, by the way we can still enjoy the 4.4.3 goodies via custom rom...

I think they haven't released an update yet for the LTE version because they want to make sure they don't accidentally fix the carrier SMS functionality for everyone. They don't want us to actually use a service they don't control.

Maybe having trouble with the Sprint Spark network?
