Native app2sd - Sony Xperia M

Is there any roms with native app2sd support? I'd like to install apps straight from the play store since I recently bought NOVA 3. If not is there any other way of installing apps straight to the SD card without swapping the SDs around because I'm using stock 4.3 rooted at the moment.

I know i can do all that but i dont have time to download all these other files and use gl2sd, my only option is to use stock 4.1.2 and download with a swapped sd card ad ten go back to 4.3 and user foldermount. i prefer to download straight off app store because its easier and much more compatible

Ok, so I finally upgraded to Android 2.2 and moved all my applications (except a few that don't work like that) over to my SD Card thanks to the hack.
Yet I still only have 43MB/147MB...Whats the deal?
Go into Manage Applications and delete data and cache of your apps. The Dolphin browser had something like 50mb of user data for me. Stopped using it now

its because you using legacy apps2sd as apposed to apps2sd+, legacy apps2sd only stores the .apk on the sd card, where as apps2sd+ moves alot more of the program data and cache' to the sd card

Well, eventually we won't need Mod Install or apps2sd+ to do it right, developers will make there apps do it auto? no...
Seems like I have enough space right now, much more then I did before hand, with 2.1. So should be fine. I just found it weird.
*and no way to add apps2sd+ to this ROM?

How does one go about installing Apps2SD+ manually, without resorting to flashing a custom rom (as there are some members here who, like myself, prefer stock roms)?

if your rooted you just need an apps2sd update.zip and flash it from recovery, becareful tho most of the ones ive seen on google are for eclair and wont work with froyo, maybe post a thread in the android development section asking someone to make you one, it wont take a skilled person long

I am rooted (via UnRevoked), and have even got a nice class 6 card already partitioned and waiting.
Surely if it wouldn't take a skilled person long to do it someone would have done it by now? I've seen a few requests in these forums since Froyo was released asking how to install apps2sd, and yet they all either get ignored or pointed towards a custom rom. It's almost as if the people who know how to do it want to keep the secret to themselves!

dont know about data2sd.i heard about only app2sd and link2sd.to install app2sd you should have supported rom like CM7.but link2sd is better option for you.just format your memory card using minipartition tool.like fat32,ext4,linux swap.and download link2sd app from android market allow superuser permission and its done.now your all apps ll go to ext4 partition.
example..for 8 gb card
fat32...5 gb(its your memory card when you can store songs, videos etc.)
ext4....not more than 2 gb.(your internal memory)
linux swap...512mb is enough.
good luckk

hmm.i dont know but if you want more then 2 GB,you may have class 10 sdcard.you can try to more than 2GB on 16 GB memory card.
however you have 2 GB internal space by this but you can also move some apps (as you moving in unrooted phone via app2sd app).so its enough but try if you want.
good luck
Op didnt this thread started with a question on support for a STOCK rom? cm7,9,10, wildchild and all thos other (stock based roms) are not stock roms! everyone who roots their phone by now knows that links2sd works on pure htc stock rom, but the majority of users myself included would like to know if we can flash data2sd or a2sd (darktremor) and others and be able to send all apks to sd. WITHOUT the use of a custom rom which have too many bugs to be completely stable (my opinion) anyone who have a real answer to this hit me up!

Xperia PLAY very low internal storage HELP!

Hi my internal memory on my Xperia PLAY is 1.7 mb and everything is sooo slow and freezing and I can't even get into applications to delete apps. What can I do??? it's so frustrating!
HELP ME!!! Someone come on!!!
you can use link2sd it lets you move the apps to a ext partition... obviously you have to format first

But my phone is freezing and I can't access anything at all!
so you have only two options
1. you've saved all your data and flash a fresh install of a ftf so you can do the process with link2sd
2. conect to pc if you can and delete some data (music, pictures....) and see if you can with that
3. I don't know what else .... sorry
Okay thanks for that. Do I need root to use link2sd

If u dont care about the data being lost why dont u flash a stock .ftf it usually is a good back up. But of course your bootloader must be unlocked. Actually abit of info regarding your set up (kernel, rom, unlocked bootloader or not) will help us help you

Yes you do. You also need to create a partition on your SD card if you are going to link your apps to it

[Q] Rooted my phone, can't flash any roms (I made a huge mistake)

A couple of months ago, I was getting bored of my phone so I decided to upgrade to android 2.3.3. I like it, but I felt like I should root my phone too. Heres the problem, I couldn't get unrevoked to work so I used revolutionary instead. They didn't have my hboot version so I proceeded with one of the hboot versions listed.
Everything went smoothly, my phone was now rooted, and I was able to free up more internal storage. I really wanted to flash a new rom though, so I commenced with the MIUI rom, and ended up getting stuck in a bootloop. I tried cynogen and the same thing happened. I tried a couple of other roms too, but none of them worked. I was just continuously getting stuck in a bootloop. (Yes, I cleared dalvik cache, wipe data etc..)
Has anyone else on the Desire done the same thing as I have? Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Hard to say what goes wrong on your end. First, I would suggest you to go ahead with stock hboot from http://alpharev.nl/ and flash a newer recovery tool, e.g. this one (4EXT Touchrecovery).
Then try one of VJ's JB roms and post the results.

a2sd is a script that allows you to install apps onto your sd card (specifically an ext partition). This is very useful since the desires internal memory is pretty bad, and with a2sd you can have around 1gb of space for apps. Some roms need an ext partition to work properly/boot.
Follow this guide to make the partition.

You should have used titanium backup for backing up your apps.
If u still have a nandroid backup of stock, you could restore it, backup apps with tb, flash the new rom, and finally restore the apps with tb.
Its quite a bit of work though...

[Q] T-211, Move to SD Card & Faster Performance

Hi guys,
is there a way to move games & apps (along with their cache) to sd-card in tab 3 T-211 model.
My device is rooted & i have App Mgr III installed but it shows very few apps that can be moved.
Is custom ROM the solution or is it a hardware issue ?
Also what all can be done to make this tab faster.
Steps done by me.
1. Upgraded to Kit-Kat (Stock).
2. Rooted the device.
3. Custom recovery installed.
4. Removed Samsung Bloat-ware, seriously these should be optional from start.
5. Nova launcher installed, Is this the best for speed ?!? Don't care much about features.
7. Cant decide on a custom ROM. too bad CM is not supported.
any suggestion ?
Thanks for your help in advance...:fingers-crossed:

Hi,
You may use "GL2SD" to move your apps and cache to SDCard. It's a FREEWARE in Play Store.
You can also use one of Xposed Modules. Currently, Two Modules can do this easily.
One is called XInternal (or something like that) and the other one is called Obb2SD. Search on XDA or visit Xposed Modules Forums.

In Foldermount you link the content of folder to your external-sd. So files will appear still on your internal-sd folder, but actual data of files is writed to external-sd via that link. So if you have linked folders on Foldermount and activated link, then you could create a big file (to \data) and see if the space on external-sd decreases, even so that file seems to be on internal-sd, then your link works
