Hey, i was trying to figure out to change the fonts on my device, unlike Samsung, when u change the fonts, it will applied to all fonts, but on HTC, some fonts only change. There is bunch of fonts that needs to be replace/overwrite. But i just dont know which one should be overwrite because i once overwrite them all and my device softbrick, thanks to nandroid backup. Here I attached the screenshots of fonts. Ohh and btw i used Roomtoolbox Pro to change them.

Running ParanoidAndroid 6.1?
Download font installer from the market
font installer mate, that options isn't there on the display settings
all fonts are located in /system/fonts/
just grab any font you like from your pc, internet or any other places. you can even take fonts from windows control panel. decide which of those fonts you want to change. renameyour desired to the font you want to be replaced. aaaand replace it!!!!
though for for english/latin font this method is not too easy, cause there are lots of english font and some of didn't name so clearly. but for other languages it's usually a single font.
btw third party fonts, *ones you choose, font installer or flipfonts) are not sized correctly. sometimes they are too bg so they won't shown coorectly in boxes, or they're too small and hard to read. I suggest using of stock or AOSP fonts only.
Guys, thanks for your suggestion and I prefered to download font installer but why I get my phone's bootloop after install and applied font from font installer?anyone knows why is it??

I was wondering if anyone knew how to manually add fonts to the galaxy S3 jellybean tw rom. By manually I mean using root explorer and putting files in a particular folder if that can be done. I don't want to buy a font app that just does a transfer I can do myself. Please and thank you

You can, you would just need to put the correct file in the systems font folder.
The fonts in that folder don't appear in the touchwiz font selection screen under display settings->font

I see then; well honestly, you're better off just downloading an app to do it; as you're have to change everything in the system ui to that new ont. There are TONS of free root font changer apps. Have a go at them.

I would like to learn the areas of the ui I can edit to get that effect. I'm on XDA to learn anyway. I just finished a semester of C++ in my pursuit of an electrical engineering degree so I'm more interested in the journey than the effect anyway

You can install fonts manually in the system/fonts folder but it takes time... you need to find a font that has all the different font "states" (light, bold, italic, condensed/ all combinations of these) and should be in .ttf format
So here's what you need to do:
1.Make a nandroid !FIRST!
2.Download your font
3.Use a root browser and find system/fonts
4.Locate the main fonts the system uses (ICS&JB use roboto)
5.Write down all the font state names that begin with roboto (ie roboto-italic)
6.Rename the font states from your downloaded font to the corresponding roboto font states (font-italic to roboto-italic)
7.Paste all renamed font states in system/fonts
8.Set permissions for each pasted font state
9.Boot into recovery and wipe cache/dalvik & set permissions
10.Reboot and enjoy!

Just Google search for flip fonts. There are tons of free ones on the internet. They install like apks.

Hey guys!
I am trying to figure our how I can replace the existent app icon in insertcoin 15.0.1 with ones I downloaded as a zip file. So I got jpegs with new icons I want to use. The icons should completely replace the old ones, not only make a new shortcut with i.e. desktop visualizer. Sorry for making a new thread for that. Don't know where to post it else.
Greetings,
Sinisjekkt

I think that this thread is more suitable for the Q & A section. And I have no idea how to replace icons other than installing some launcher that supports that option.

in order to change icons, you would have to swap the icons out in the apk that contains the icon you want to change(make sure you make the new icon the same size as the old one) then you will also have to change the icons for the app in also the in system/apps(systemui.apk) , in system/framework (com.htcresourses.apk) and (framework-res.apk) hope the helps
Try this app

Hey guys.
This may be a stupid question but I've been trying to search online for solution but just cant fix it.
When I want to change system fonts, I just go to settings/display/font style on my Note 2. And there are hundreds of fonts I can see from the selections. But when I am doing some custom widgets using UCCW or Zooper Widget, I dont see all the fonts that I usually see in settings/display.
Some apps require fonts to be saved in /systems/fonts and some in sdcard/fonts so I just saved my font folder on both path.
How can I make the apps (UCCW or Zooper) to be able to find and use the same fonts I can usually see from the Settings of the phone? Thanks.
No one?
Id say ask the developers of those apps to help u out with that one.

I think I messed up the question.
I have a lot of fonts in the settings, display option of the phone like example tahoma, Arial, etc but they are not in the fonts folder.
Most of the fonts in the fonts folder are from roboto, droid and Samsung series. In what folders are those other fonts located?
I can put fonts on those apps if I download the font I want one by one and save them to fonts folder so I think the app isn't the problem. But since I have other fonts i want from the phone settings, I wonder where I can just get the ttf files inside the phone itself.
