My SG3 charges on my AC wall charger but not on my car charger. I took the phone to a Sprint store and they said that it was due to corrosion. I am trying to hold out for the new One or SG5. Is there something I can do to try to correct it? I don't want to get a replacement with the new phones being released so soon.

Did you tried using the car charger with another device?

Yes, my wife's Note 2 works fine on the car charger. The store was also able to duplicate the problem. Their advice was to either get a replacement phone for $150 or get an upgrade.
Get a couple extra batteries and an external battery charger... Never have to charge your phone and they are ready to throw in your pocket so you always have an extra battery. It'll cost you about $20 but that's better than wasting your upgrade on something you don't want. And cheaper than a replacement.

That is a good idea. Should tide me over until a new phone. Thanks for your input guys!

I purchased a universal car charger from Frys for $6.00 the week the phone came out and never really used it till today. While it was charging it felt really hot, I looked at the temperature and it went from 89F. to 129F. in less than five minutes. Has anybody else had any luck with a non Samsung car charger? I really don't want to pony up for the Tmobile one and prefer to buy one under $10 if possible. Or do you think the temperature is fine on the current one I have?
i got this one for like $5 a while back. works great.
Also, check out monoprice.com. you can essentially build one for cheap.
Inexpensive and Car Charger is never a good combo. I never understood why people would drop so much on a phone then cheap out on the charger. Cheap chargers don't last very long and can actually damage your battery.
+1 to what speoples said...although it was a while back, i once fried my phone's charging circuit using the cheap car charger. i never use them after what happened.
I got few of these when meritline have them on sale for 80 cents/each. Forgot how much voltage it put out when I measured it but it's good enough for a USB charger and stable.

What's up guys?
Can anyone post their car dock / setup pictures for us to see along with a link they ordered it from?
I'm in the market for one and the one from Verizon themselves is quite cheap.
Please tell me this is an April Fool's Day joke. Please.
My car doesn't work well with most mounts so I made my own bracket that goes on the dash, I usually don't like universal mounts, but since I am running a case I have no choice. After a couple crappy ones I found one that works pretty well. It was at target for $13, haven't found it online. It holds the phone well and doesn't get in the way of buttons or the usb port.
It comes with a windshield and vent mount but I used a screw to attach it.

I just use the official Pogo Pin Dock from Samsung.
Here is the picture of the dock from target.

Hey guys. So my Optimus G has gone through three different chargers now. The LG one that comes with the phone, a Samsung one, and a rocketfish one. The LG one being the first I used. I know it's not the outlet cause I charge my nexus 7 on the same one.
The LG and rocketfish chargers broke when I tried to charge my phone from being completely drained. The Samsung one just kinda stopped working. All three of them maintain a flat line charge if Im not using my phone. But once I start using my phone, it continues to drain even though it's plugged in.
You can see what I mean at the end of the graph. Its was plugged in for 45 mins.
Have any of you had this problem or have seen it? And any idea what's going on?

I had the same problem. Tellus change the phone today for me.
I was bored, so i 'modded' a Book stash into a Wireless Qi charger....
Just place the N5 on the cover and it starts charging, i keep it on my nightstand for now.
I plan on buying another stash, or making a stash myself using a cooler looking real book...
Charging seems to function normally through the 5mm thick wood cover
What do you guys think?

That's pretty cool. How much did it cost you in total?
That's pretty awesome. I'm going to attempt a similar project with my nightstand like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZo2pA0Qc9U&feature=youtube_gdata_player

Can anyone suggest me a alternative charger which has long cable? I have ended up with this
http://www.amazon.in/gp/aw/d/B00FF4...st+charger&dpPl=1&dpID=31cLsq3ZmaL&ref=plSrch
I use a Anker*40W*5-Port charger
Allows me to charge 5 devices at the same time all at full speed

Been using the Sony charger you mentioned... seems to be the cheapest option.
Can we use a charger with 2.1A output for oneplus one. My charger is messed up and i cant find original oneplus one charger online. I am planning on buying this one:

Is this safe?
