Optimus G breaking chargers - LG Optimus G (International)

Hey guys. So my Optimus G has gone through three different chargers now. The LG one that comes with the phone, a Samsung one, and a rocketfish one. The LG one being the first I used. I know it's not the outlet cause I charge my nexus 7 on the same one.
The LG and rocketfish chargers broke when I tried to charge my phone from being completely drained. The Samsung one just kinda stopped working. All three of them maintain a flat line charge if Im not using my phone. But once I start using my phone, it continues to drain even though it's plugged in.
You can see what I mean at the end of the graph. Its was plugged in for 45 mins.
Have any of you had this problem or have seen it? And any idea what's going on?

"Downloading" screen (DL mode) when charger is plugged in.

This screen shows up if I have the phone completely off and I just plug in the micro USB cable (even if the other end isnt connected to the wall outlet adapter) or even if the phone is off and I plug it in to charge it. So I reverted back to stock 4.0.3 using ODIN to see if it solved it. Nothing. I've searched and searched. I can't find the issue with other users. If I power the phone without it plugged it yes it'll boot into 4.0.3. Its been like this for a year or so, but now I'm trying to sell the phone on Ebay and I would like to get rid of this little inconvenience. Also, if I press and hold the power button for 5-6 seconds it'll reboot and go back into it if I have the usb cable plugged in...if not it'll just boot into 4.0.3
Any help would be highly appreciated.

I'm assuming you've tried a different cable? I have a few, and one in particular is very moody and does the same thing.

Wow. You just nailed the issue. It was the USB charging cable. I was using the one off my G2x forever. LOL!

SG3 charges on AC wall charger but not on car charger

My SG3 charges on my AC wall charger but not on my car charger. I took the phone to a Sprint store and they said that it was due to corrosion. I am trying to hold out for the new One or SG5. Is there something I can do to try to correct it? I don't want to get a replacement with the new phones being released so soon.

Did you tried using the car charger with another device?

Yes, my wife's Note 2 works fine on the car charger. The store was also able to duplicate the problem. Their advice was to either get a replacement phone for $150 or get an upgrade.
Get a couple extra batteries and an external battery charger... Never have to charge your phone and they are ready to throw in your pocket so you always have an extra battery. It'll cost you about $20 but that's better than wasting your upgrade on something you don't want. And cheaper than a replacement.

That is a good idea. Should tide me over until a new phone. Thanks for your input guys!

[Q] Charge port picky on charging

So my wife has the S3 phone, and when she plugs it in, she has to do a song and dance just to get it to charge. While it's just sitting, most times the connection notification sound will go haywire as the connection is loose. I've tried using different cables and it's the same thing. It's a factory phone, no mods done to it as she'll kill me if I do anything to it. Has anyone dealt with this? Did you bring it in? Would I be charged a fee to get it replaced with the same phone? Thanks for your input.

You could always just buy extra batteries and an external battery charger. Then you never have to plug it in. They are cheap on Amazon.

Galaxy Nexus (toro) dead?

Yesterday, I tried to charge my Galaxy Nexus (toro), which was fully depleted. It showed the battery icon like it usually does, but then it went kinda weird (idk how to describe it, look at the picture). Then it would turn off and do the same thing again. So then I charged the battery using an external charger, but the phone did not do anything, like it didn't even vibrate. If I connect a charger to the phone, I can get into the Bootloader, and if I go to recovery mode, it starts for like a second, but then turns off again. If it helps, it's the SCH-i515, running Unlegacy 4.4.4, and TWRP 3.x (not sure of exact version).

EDIT: I plugged it into a laptop, and it booted up just fine, but the battery was at 0% even after being left in an external charger overnight.
Maybe the battery is dead dead... Like when a car battery has a dead cell. It works when you plug it in because there's a charge going through. Do you have any extra batteries lying around that you could test. Just remember that you are fighting a losing battle against time which degrades battery life.
