Hi!
Today I've found that my favorite XDA 2010 css theme is not working properly in Chrome but works fine in Firefox/IE. Is it my side or your side error, and how to fix it?
Thanks!
Update: now Chrome + 2010 theme works fine!
I use chrome as well but I don't have such issues.
Seems to be working here as well (using 2010 to post this).
for me works, now i'm using it.

They finally got around to releasing a version of SideShow (this is MS's official beta, not a 3rd party). Tried it on my phone with Ricky/Kavana's v23. It works (no crashes yet)... some problems with browsing the media files library (content malformed).
The real bummer is that the home plug-in works does not work with the new 6.1 panel home (you either have to revert to the old 5/6 home screen to browse email, content, feeds, etc.). You can go to it as a regular app but that somewhat defeats it's purpose.
Anyone think that it can be ported to to work with 6.1 sliding panels?
Free download on MS's site without having to contend with RapidShare:

Thoughts anyone.
What does it all do this new program?

Same here, it looked graphically promising but oh well.
Am I the only one that has a problem with firefox displaying XDA forum correctly. The graphics are all screwed up and repeated over and over again. I also cannot quick reply in a forum with the button.
I'd like to know if one of my add-ons are not playing nice, but I just wanted to know if I'm the only one having problems.
Works fine for me, I use FF3.5.3 on XP SP3.
I use a fair old few plugins as well, but no problems .
Sorry mate.
Dave
Same here 3.5.3 working fine on Vista 64.
If you think plugins remove them all and see, if not reinstall Firefox.
Good luck
Hey guys,
Seems to be rendering correctly with me...
Firefox 3.5, with various plugins
Running Windows 7 RTM on eeepc 1000he
Dog slow over the "3" mobile broadband dongle however...
Clear down all of the cache in both IE and Firefox, clear down all browsing history and then try again.....see how that behaves.
Good luck
MobileMerlin
FF 3.5.3
windows 7 build 7600
Works fine for me.
Follow wberesford's advice. He knows of what he speaks.
DO NOT TRY THIS ON ANYTHING OTHER THAN WINDOWS MOBILE VERSION 6.5.3 OR HIGHER! IT CONSISTS OF A .DLL FILE DEVELOPED AFTER WM 6.1! YOU WILL DISABLE FEATURES!
I love using Mobile Shell 3.5.3, and I love using Windows Mobile 6.5.3, but the facebook and twitter widgets would not connect for me. I kept getting the error cannot connect. It was driving me nuts and forcing me to switch to a regular 6.5 rom. I figured out that 28002 was the last 6.5.3 build that these widgets worked on, so I pulled some packages out and added them to the new builds and viola! it worked. I've narrowed it down to the webview.dll file. This works fine for me when I cook it in, and I've tested the cab a few times. The widgets can connect now, and Internet Explorer doesn't seem to be affected. I don't use it all that often so I can't really say for sure if it makes a huge difference.
The cab is hard-coded to go to the windows directory and cannot be uninstalled. So this is kind of a one-time deal.
This is only a test and will need some feedback from others before we can call this one a sure thing.
BACKUP YOUR PHONE BEFORE YOU TRY!
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THIS MAY DO TO YOUR PHONE!
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
.
i'm guess i'm the only one with this problem?
I'm using a 28205 6.5.3 build, and the Facebook widget works fine for me.

No you're not. People are all over SPB developers behind in the SPB forums. So far they have just said that they are looking into it.
I'll back up my phone now and try this. Is there a manual way of uninstalling and getting back to the old settings?
So no luck. I am using build 23037 and the Facebook screen still keeps getting the "Retry" button. Internet Explorer seems to work ok.
I actually receive the same error, yet it updates my status anyway.
It works! It opens my default browser and there's a message about a bug in the application, therefore I cannot log in. But when I try again to open Facebook in SPB Mobile Shell it logs in.
My ROM: Energy.KOVSKY.23519.Leo_04.Feb.2010
Thx a lot man!

I too have a 23519 build this seems to have worked for me although only for google and facebook widgets the twitter does not say fail to connect any longer but it just sits on a white screen anyone else?
I'm have ing the very same issue using Flame build 23529.
Twitter widget sometimes say failed to connect with a retry button, sometimes it just displays and white screen and hangs the mobile, requiring me to pull out the battery.
I'm downloading the patch now! Will let you guys know how it goes.
WOOHOO!!!
It works!!
Thanks mtstmp!
WICKED!!! IT workedd!! you're a genius, i love the facebook feature of spb mobile shell too =D THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHHHHHH
Amazing this solved the problem for me too
thank .....works like a charm
My facebook works fine but twitter has never worked. I get a range of errors error 403, error 406, white screen or a twitter message about the page being invalid.
I tried installing this fix but its still not working. I have tried all the cookies etc.
Im using an hd2 with a cooked rom (WM6.5.5)
any other ideas?
Thanks
man ...thank YOU and F SPB
Works perfectly. Thank you!
Twitter's still borked though. After login and confirm it says sending you back to application and proceeds to lock up.
Thanks for the great work, FYI, this also fixed FIM's internal browser on 6.5.3.
still does not work
im using kumar rom 1.3 for tmobile and it does not work
thanks man this seems to be working for me I can at least get to internet explorer to log into facebook now i wasn't able to before. big thanks for that i can at least add pictures to my contacts now using facebook
Just gave it a shot and I also got the white screen. It also dissabled explorer for me. Used SK tools to uninstall and explorer up and working again. For now..... Thanks for working on this problem.
Stock 6.1 Rom on Vouge
it doesnt work for me...
I have a Palm treo pro and until last week both twitter and FB widgets worked fine. Now, no matter what, they won't connect. I tried using this cab but just got the white screen and stop IE for working properly, so I deleted and IE got back to normal. Thanks anyway...
Anything else we can try to make these widgets work?
I'm looking for a twitter app that works on the TP2. I've tried ceTwit, PocketTwit and TouchTwit and they all fail when trying to authenticate.
I don't use Sense (I'm a SPB Mobile Shell fan), so I'm not able to run the Sense Twitter app.
Does anyone know of an app that works?
MoTweets works, and the add-supported version is free.
That works perfectly - thanks!
Pocketwit was updated a few weeks ago to support the newer authentication and works very well but you must get it from their site a lot of the aggregator sites still have the older version. Personally it's my favorite...
Hello...
I'm working on a mobile version of a website and I don't know anyone with windows phone 7.
Would a couple people be willing to try and break it and tell me if something doesn't work?
I have access to test with windows mobile 6.5, android, iphone, and blackberry.

Looked good to me. Navigation was clean and fast, and the audio links all worked fine.
The only problem I saw was that all of the "Most recent" links on the free downloads page took me to the same place - the current schedule page.
Oh, boy...
Thanks for pointing that out.
I used ? instead of &.
JJ
That showed up another problem.
Apparently, my code on listseries.php was funked and it showed the same Recent Messages instead of the messages for each series.
JJ
Functioned well for me on a Samsung focus
Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Runs smooth and looks good on my HD7.
Do the mp3 links just start playing or does it require the file to download and open separately?
WM6.5 only downloads.
JJ
They started playing immediately for me.
it is working very well
Hello, again...
Would some of you wp7 guys test another link for me?
I'm working on some streaming mp4 video and it's working for iphone/ipad, but not android or desktops.
I'm wondering if it works for wp7.

No, it does not work. It tries to play it as a video (in full screen), but then it says that it can not play the video. Are you using a video format that Windows Phone 7 is supposed to support?
I don't have the foggiest idea.
It's a live stream that is going through a third-party streaming company (we encode, live, and stream to them, then everyone connects to them for the stream).
I've just implimented the code that they provided and it works for apple devices, but nothing else.
JJ
Edit...
Apparently, it works on a mac with safari, but not windows with safari.
JJ
Sorry, we can't play this file on your phone.

I get a white page that says "Live" in the top left. This is the same whether I choose "desktop" or "mobile" settings in my browser

Hello, again...
http://66.119.8.164/xml-freedownloads.php
I'm not concerned about how things look or function, just what background color shows up in portrait and landscape.
In theory, it should be blue for portrait and orange for landscape.
Please test with any browswer that windows phone 7 supports, if possible.
Thanks...
JJ
Seems to work with IE9 (WP build 7712)
However you can't read headlines/Links in portrait mode since they blend with the blue background
Color changes (so does the font size but i'm guessing that has to do with whatever you tied to the orientation). So to verify above, you're good on the 7712 mango build.
Yeah, the functionality of it is meaningless, at the moment.
I was in the middle of testing some xml loading and decided to try some css media query stuff.
It's lame, though, as my windows mobile 6.5 internet explorer isn't using media="handheld" or min/max-width.
JJ
Worked perfectly here.
