I currently run X-Note V13 with Civ Kernel. My opinion is that it is the best ROM out there and it is an international ROM. Only thing is that your CSC gets changed which is no big deal other than the fact that some settings and apps think your are from another country.

I fully agree I love that rom! Keep going back GREAT battery life! Fast and stable with A LOT of tweaks. You have to try it, you won't go back. It deletes your internal storage. At least if does on mine but I don't care

You can probably use any international rom as long as you use the wifi bt nfc fix and a tmo kernel.

how did you flash the x-note v13 ROM without the aroma install wiping your internal SD? I've been flashing a tmo kernel and the wifi fix, but the actual ROM install itself ALWAYS wipes my internal SD. And it doesn't boot. Could you please list out your steps?

This ROM always wipes my internal SD card as well, that or it happens when I do the wipe prior to install.
This is the way I have flashed two versions of X-Note once on jb and once on kk. Both worked flawlessly.
1. use twrp 2.7 as recovery (cwm works too, but I am personally like twrp better.)
2. Down load all the files found here to your computer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50728165
3. Take your external move the downloaded files to your EXTERNAL SD card.
4. Flash using the instructions listed in link above.
Notes: when you do you full wipe twrp should not remove the files from the external sd card and then you can flash. If it does wipe, remove the card from your phone, plug into computer, move files, place back into phone and then reboot back into recovery. I did find it helpful to make a special folder on the external sd card for the files to be in so I could locate them quickly.
Also on the first boot you have to give the ROM about 5-10 minutes to set up.
Make sure to unchecked the reboot option at the end of the aroma so you can flash the custom kernel and wifi fix.
I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Edit: Oh wow, thanks. Looks like i had all the steps right, but I was just trying to flash the wrong ZIP file...
Still, thanks a bunch! I don't know why I thought i'd be able to flash the download version found straight from the n9005 forum.

Actually turns out I spoke too soon last night.
I got to the crazy boot animation for xnote 13 but it never finishes booting. I've let it sit for 30 mins without the animation stopping.
For the record I'm also using twrp 2.7.0...and on the official 4.4.2 nb4 boot loader. Is that the one you're on? Or are you still on the 4.3 mi7 boot loader ?

That is what I was on. You can't do 13 unless you have the new boot loader. Did you do a md5 check of your zip and did you do a clean wipe prior to flashing? You can also try to do another clean wipe and reflash all the files. Sometimes you have to flash the kernel twice for it to function correctly. Not sure why but I have seen that mentioned several times in the dev section.

Hmm yes and yes.
There is one guy in they thread that seemed to have the same problem as me but he didn't write what he did to fix it. I sent him a pm, hopefully be can point out what I'm doing wrong or missing.
I've tried two different kernels as well. The one recommended and compulsion kernel

Hi Guys, Newbie here
I just got a note 3 from tmobile (N900T). I'm using it in a different carrier here in the US. I wanted to remove the tmobile apps and I stumbled upon this post. So I tried installing xnote v16 with the WIFI/NFC Fix and Civz Kernel 3.4. Everything seems to work well except the WIFI. I can't turn it on. Anyone can help me get my wifi working?

[Q] Installed JMT2 and boot goes to Encrypted Storage Device Screen

Apologizes if this has already been answered but I have attempted to install the Jedi Mind Trick v2 ROM and I keep getting a password prompt to unlock the encrypted storage device.
My phone isn't encrypted and is currently running The Sith v2 rom for ics.
Any ideas on how to correct this?

I ran the factory reset and cache wipe on both variations of the recovery along with the darkside super wipe.
Still received the same result.

This doesn't appear to be limited to JMT...just tried the TMO JB Stock + Rooted Rom and received the same message with thw TWRP 2.5.0.0 Recovery.
I had the same problem with every ROM pin the new T-Mobile base. Had to flash using ODIN. Then a factory reset.
One thing I didn't try first was to wipe the "preload" in the latest TWRP recovery 2.5. Grin what I understand on the development forums people are having all kings of ROM issues when it doesn't get wiped. Something to do with how the new base is setup.

W03 Slim Rom V7 - Boot Loop

I am trying to install the W03 Slim ROM V7 on my Tmobile Galaxy Note 3 through Philz recovery and I am getting stuck in a boot loop.
These are the steps I tried
1. Used Chainfire's root method to root Kitkat 4.4.2 (which was updated through kies). Used the N9005 and not N900T like the instructions asked me to
2. Flashed Philz Recovery through Odin
3. Copied the ROM and Gapps to my Phone.
4. Rebooted into recovery
5. Wiped Data/Factory reset, Install from Zip, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and reboot.
This is where I get stuck. The phone boots with these words on the top left, "Recovery not enforcing seandroid" or something along those lines and keeps booting. I booted back to Recovery and 'Re'wiped' the phone/did a factory reset, but nogo
So I downloaded the right stock firmware from Sammobile, installed through Odin and repeated the steps and still the same issue.
What am I doing wrong? I made sure I am flashing hltetmo (for TMo Note 3).
Correct me if im wrong but if you flashed the new bootloader I don't think you can go back to 4.3 roms anymore.

Sounds like a Recovery issue to me. Please look one more time and make sure if you used PHILZ TOUCH that you did in fact flash 6.19.3 HLTE. and not HLTETMO. Im also using philz and no problems flashing. However before it was known that this was the version to use, I did loop at the same point when experimenting with other versoins. Also, check your MD5 and verify that it is a good download.... maybe re download just for gits and shiggles.

Had the same bootloop issue when I just tried it out. I updated my bootloader when I updated to stock KK through odin. I am assuming by 4.3 you mean the bootloader on SlimRom is the 4.3 bootloader even though it is a 4.4.2 rom?

Thanks everyone. It does look like it is the bootloader issue.
How do we determine if a particular ROM supports a particular bootloader version? At least the ROMs I have sort of explored and wanted to try, dont mention that anywhere. Or maybe they use some geek term to reference that but I dont understand it. How do noobs like me determine the bootloader version and compatibility of a particular ROM (before flashing and finding out the hard way)???

Hey guys just to make sure. Can we flash international ROMs? If so How? Can someone tell me step by step how it's done? Would like to try out another Rom that isn't tmobile aswell. do I download the ROM and then backup my APN settings. Then delete/factory reset along with wipe cache and dalvik flash ROM then flash tmobile kernel after its done? Any kernel? Right after its installed? I'm saying because can another kernel from a different ROM brick my phone?

Oh, if you're still on 4.3, then update to 4.4.2 first! That's really important (X-Note won't install on a 4.3 bootloader). Install either the odexed or deodexed image: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2671063, then follow the rest of the steps. I'll update my original post.
EDIT: I'm running version X-Note 11. Version 12 wasn't available when I installed. I don't plan to update though. There's really nothing new and I'm already getting great battery/performance, so I don't see the point messing with a new version.

agreed, I've been wanting try this rom for a while but I have been getting mixed answers. I step by step instruction would be great.
Just go over to the AT&T forums. I went there a couple months ago and been running DN3 for quite a while. Its really not much different than flashing a Tmo rom. You can edit the build.prop afterwards so it shows the correct phone model as well as have the Tmo LTE icons etc.. Just read up. Its worth it, especially since TMo and Samsung been screwing us around on KitKat

I have a few questions if you don't mind.
1. Which build of dn3 are you using?
2.Did you lose any features flashing the rom?
3. How bad is the increase of ram usage?

I've been using this rom for a while too.
So to answer some questions...
1. Im using DN3 V5 with Update 3 (update 3 is just a few fixes on some things)
2. Depending on what features you want or need then id say Not at all. Only thing for us Tmo users is Wifi Calling.
3. Ram usage is pretty high. If youre going to use AGNi Kernel then set the max cpu to 1700 and min to 300 and the LMK to Medium. In my opinion my phone runs much smoother.

Thank you for the info, I have a few more questions if you don't mind.
1. Did you have to fix any features? such as gps, wifi, network, camera, etc...? (My biggest concern is having to do a lot of trouble shooting)
2. Which recovery did you use to flash the rom?

1. Coming from a clean install (wipe everything! System, Data, Cache, Dalvik-Cache and Internal Sdcard) I ran into minimal issues.
Im also still on the 4.1.2 (MD1) bootloader so I needed to use AGNi Kernel to get Wifi to work. If you're on the MK7 bootloader then you might not need to use AGNi.
Another thing is, after flashing the rom, dont flash anything else until youre booted up and slightly set up and open the camera and be sure it works.
Then you an flash the add ons (kernel, update, super su (if needed) other things.)
I edited my build.prop to show the 4GLTE symbol on my Notification Bar.
2. Im using TWRP (I forgot which version) 2.7.0.1 ... you can flash the AT&T TWRP newest build and it will work.
What you might need to do to get the rom to flash after you wipe is to reboot back into recovery. My first attempt at flashing the rom failed but after I rebooted back into recovery it flashed fine.

Again I appreciate the info. I am currently running the jedi master 16 rom, 4.1.2 (MD1) . It is my understanding that I will have to flash the MD1 modem after installing dn3. Also which AGNi Kernel do I use. I found this link.

My main issue is with the inability to charge offline....And then again we need a 4.4 bootloader to make it work....and that means we will have to wait till TMO releases an official update....Whats really happening at all?

Use this one PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v4.2.4_I605_4.4.2_AROMA-signed.zip
Do not flash that kernel! That is for Verizon phones!
Here isnthe correct links for the thread and download page.
AGNi Kernel Thread - N7105 be sure you flash the one for 4.4.2 Roms because the thread isnt separated for 4.3 or 4.4.2 kernels.
Here is the correct download page that is compatible for the T889 (Tmo Note )

No that doesn't work....its a bootloader issue...with our 4.3, theres no we will get that to work unless TMO releases the 4.4 update, that is, if they are ever gonna release it tho

[Q] How can I use Multiboot? MultiRom?

I saw on a thread that someone was using "Multiboot" to run CM11 as their daily driver but also having TW on it to use for WiFi calling and such.... I want to ask:
Was this a fib?
If not then how can I do it?
Is there a guide I can look at?
If it is possible then I would like to run CM11 and TW 4.1.2, I already have the images and ODIN for that. I never updated to 4.3 so I don't think that is a problem?
If you have help please quote my post so I can get a handy email of the response ^-^
Thanks

Good morning.
This describes me. I use CM as my daily driver but I use z999 Touchwiz ROM as a backup for the wifi calling.
Quick questions: are you rooted? Have you flashed a custom ROM/recovery before? Your answers will help me in answering your questions on how to do.

Simply follow this thread
It only took a quick search of "multiboot" in development to find this thread.

Get the AT&T version 2.12 - it has a fix in it for the External SD card that appeared in 2.11. While it's an AT&T recovery, it'll work fine on our phones as the TMO and AT&T S3 are the same phones.
Once you have the file, flash it via CWM and you'll have a MultiBoot TWRP as your recovery. The thread for the MultiBoot Recovery has a couple of Youtube videos that walk through setting up additional ROMs. I'm currently using z999 (Odexed 4.1.2 TW ROM) as my backup ROM to use for Wi-Fi calling.
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you, I'll try this tonight. I searched multiboot online but didn't find anything and Tapatalk doesn't have a good search function :/

I have a question. This external SD Care problem, what was it? Was it an issue with the card getting unmounted? Or was it another issue?
GS³: Carbonized, KT747'd, Philz'd

For some reason, on the 2.11 version, I couldn't get the secondary ROM to see my external SD card. I backup all of my apps there - it was a pain to copy my backups to the internal SD card. There were a lot of comments about the issue on the AT&T forum and the developer put out a new version (2.12). However, he never put out a version for d2tmo - only d2att. So, I messed around with the install script and loaded the newer recovery on my phone. External SD problem solved.

Okay so I am researching how to do it and I believe I understand BUT the T-mobile TW file I have has to be flashed through ODIN, it's not a zip, and I want CM to be my stock ROM. So I was searching for a 4.1.2 TW rom (I prefer that version) and couldn't find any zip files...
Do you know how to help me? Do you know where to find a stock .zip flashable through recovery?
I followed all the instructions to use multiboot and I got the z999 touchwiz rom on there but then it wouldn't "find" my CM rom that was already on there so I ended up formatting and having no OS, so I tried to sideload but the multiboot stuff messed it up so I'm using ODIN to go back to stock >.> this has failed miserably.

The multi boot recovery won't "find" your CM ROM - it will always be the "internal" ROM. Multi boot will only show secondary ROMs in the multi boot menu. Anytime you want to boot CM, just boot the internal ROM.
Give me some time and I'll do a video on how to set up multiple ROMs.

Thank you! I'm gonna try it again today and see how it goes. Maybe I got confused because when I rebooted the phone it booted TW no matter what and I couldn't get it to boot into CM...there was no option to boot internal or whatever...
@Bass_Man25 I finally got it working!
I couldn't install it on the internal storage directory. So I ADB pushed the files to the /tmp folder and installed it off that and I finally have it working!

Wow your video explained everything, it is much clearer now!

Would it be possible for me to use a 4.3+ ROM using multiboot? I have the old boot loader or whatever that came with 4.1.2 along with those modems etc.
If it's possible to run a 4.4.4 aosp ROM on the old boot loader how come you can't run newer versions of TW? If there is a ROM I can use along 4.1.2 that'd be nice.
TW roms have Knox.

To be honest, I don't know. From what I've read, some of the 4.3 ROMS don't play nicely with MultiBoot. I haven't given it a try yet. If you're willing to give it try, please let me know what you find. The good new is, if you try it as a secondary ROM and it doesn't work, you can just delete it.
