Try settings in 'Settings>>Developer Mode' || under drawing tab.
transition animations comes from your Launcher. Go into your launcher settings and depending which one, settings for opening apps can be in different locations. Usually under App Drawer.

can you recommend a launcher with different animations? Only found nova
It requires xposed framework but there are some pretty cool animations in here, watch the video

Go Launcher EX or Next launcher is best for their animation effects.

Yeah, it only has some basic animations.
This app was before we had xposed and other stuff and we had to edit the animations manually in framework.
And about launcher, there are few.
I personally recommend ADW launcher EX, it has some nice animations and a lot of options.
If You want also a classic one but few 3d effects then Next Launcher.
And finally, if You want some beautiful 3d animations then You should take a look at tsf shell, especially the newest version. However it's not a usual launcher.

I agree, go launcher is awesome very customizable. and if you want widgets get color widgets in the market for facebook, contacts etc.
Im using the ADW with the ICS icons.
This is a massive bit of personal opinion war waiting to happen. Personally, I've used lpp for awhile now and have tried the others but never been really satisfied.

Try the sony ericsson 4 corner launcher. I use that one.
I'm using regina. Give it a shot.
I really like Launcher Pro's option to hide apps from the drawer but like options from other launchers. Is there any other launcher that can hide apps?
Getting ready to try Lpp now. Thanks for the replies.

GO launcher is the first I've tried, but I really like it. It's very customizable.
I still have to try out the others... But I've decided that landscape and slick animated transitions are must-have features for me after using GO launcher.
Sent from my Galaxy S II using Tapatalk.
I was a long time user of Launcher Pro but recently switched to go launcher. It really can do everything LPP can do and more. Widgets are.... different.... I don't think one has a widget advantage on the other but I'm sure many will disagree with me. Go launcher has plently of easy to assemble custom themes where launcher pro you really have to change things manually. Go launcher lets you do that also. I felt Launcher pro ran smoother on my evo4g but on my gsII go launcher runs awesome
sorry Zeam launcher is the best in my opinion, very sleek and it has just enough options to make it great.

Im digging the apex launcher because it gives you options to edit the icons and put different pictures on tge icons . Like i downloaded adw ics theme by kovdev from market and was able to use the ics icon pix when tapping on an icon and hitting edit. The theme basically has a icon theme pack. I also love the animations im running the beta and it is silky smooth. It looks like i am runnin an aosp build its badasss . I also dl some galaxy nexus lw for more of a ics feel

i use nova launcer. it is very customizable and it doesn't crash. it is also very fast. i really like that you can customiza also the quick launch bar. i have the free version (it is complete, just less customizable)
still use Go Launcher EX on my ICS devices
extremely customizable
fast
and it works on all the devices
and you can't beat the price FREE!
Apex, because it's essentially SuperStock. It preserves the ICS look and feel, which I love, but it's got a ton of additional options, and the ability to backup my desktop, which makes coming back from wipes easier.
Im loving nova right now. Even the free version is very customizable.
I run that Apex Launcher best from what I have seen.

You don't have to capitalize every letter of every word. That seems very illiterate.
Also, thanks for the share.
Holo Launcher can do it easily.

I could have sworn as well that there was a app that allowed scrolling wallpapers for touchwiz.

There is in the playstore. From the reviews dont think it was working to well. Just install Nova.....or Apex and try it out. If you dont like them you can just go back to using TW. I might be missing something but I dont think you lose anything by using one of those 3rd party launchers, but you will gain many customization options.

Yea - It's Nova. You don't need root to do that setup. It's actually amazing how much you can do with a unrooted phone. Even the stupid icons in the status bar don't bother me anymore because I have Nova hide the status bar completely.
No I know I don't need root for that, I just don't want to lose all of my progress when I unlock the bootloader. But yeah you can still do a lot even without root
