Clever, clever.
Just started a few minutes ago:
- Nova Launcher
- Multi Live Wallpaper
- Most widgets are done in UCCW
- Working on the Voxis Theme
This is gonna take some time.
For now it's setup identical to the way I had my Rezound....

here's mine haha - pretty bare until bootloader unlock makes a reappearance so I can avoid having to set a ton up again...

I followed the ColdFustion example:
Homepage. All of the home screens have rotating wallpaper:
App page (Each box is an app)
Weather and music page:
Library page:
App launcher (since almost everything is hidden on the homescreens, and I don't have a dock)
Another app launcher category so you get an idea of how it works:

Yea - It's Nova. You don't need root to do that setup. It's actually amazing how much you can do with a unrooted phone. Even the stupid icons in the status bar don't bother me anymore because I have Nova hide the status bar completely.
No I know I don't need root for that, I just don't want to lose all of my progress when I unlock the bootloader. But yeah you can still do a lot even without root

Hi guys!
I am looking for the old original stock lock screen from 4.1 (like in the screenshot). For me is the new one terrible and I was wondering if someone can make a MOD or gave me a hint, how can I do it myself. Sadly I am a noob and I can only root my phone and flash some roms and mods. I am not looking for the Holo Locker or other app. Just want the poor old stock lock.
Can someone help me pls?
Thanks in advance!
I would love to see this as an option in future Custom Roms. Lockscreen widgets always seemed superfluous to me
You can use Widget Locker to set up your lock screen like that. I actually use Widget Locker to get a look similar to the 4.2 stock look on CM 10.1 since the CM one isn't quite the same as the stock one.

I opened a thread showing how you can put anything you like on your stock rom lockscreen using UCCW w/o requiring root or BL unlock; look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081338&nocache=1 The only thing I haven't yet found how to do on stock rom is change the lockscreen wallpaper.

Beat me to it! I tried it on both my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 a while back and it worked as expected. However, I disable my lock screen using Lockscreen Policy so to me it's a non-issue with the 4.2 lock screen.

Have you not tried xylon ROM? Or a few others that have lockscreen targets? You can set it up just like that.

Yes, I've tried the most of the ROMs, but nothing works so gut Iike the stock one. Sadly I can not get, what I want, because the my rom is odexed too...

I'd like to see the developers given an option in their ROMs for turning the lockscreen widgets on and off. I know for me right now my problem with them is if I try to check my notifications I find myself missing the drag point for the notification bar and then I end up expanding the widget. Very, very annoying.
Yes, a mod like this would be good. I especially hate how Poweramp shows up on lock screen on 4.2. Its like a small ugly box on lock screen. 4.1 lock screen had it perfect.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
You can use this if you want to disable lock screen widgets and camera...
It does not give you 4.1's lock screen but gets rid of your lock screen widgets...

The workaround is to just not use the top row for anything.

I'm not a fan of the new grid size. It's messing with my setup.
I've noticed a few grid related issues too; most notably the search bar overlays my home screen widgets while in landscape orientation. This is with the "original" download and not the updated one further down this thread. I will have to see if there is any discernable difference between the two. If all else fails, I can always just switch back to Apex launcher

Hi guys,
I have a weird problem this morning. my playstore apps auto updated this morning and after that, my screen was refreshed and my folders and some widgets were missing. I'm not sure if it's because of this launcher or is it the nexus 7 bug itself.
anyone has the same experience?
Thanks!

Is there any way to resize any widget like CM does with the stock launcher w/Xposed and Gravitybox?
You can resize widgets without any app/hack/whatever on stock launcher on Android.
Just hold the widget and you should be able to resize it by puhing the sides or the top/bottom frames.

That's a negative.
For example, the Pandora widget can be stretched the full width of the screen in CM. I can't do it on the stock launcher.

Yes. The latest version of Gravity Box allows you to resize ANY widget. I've done this with a couple (like sound search widget) that can't normally be resized. :victory:

By looking at the colors of your icons on top, I take it you don't have KitKat on your N7? Maybe Android 4.3? If so, it looks like you have the wrong version of Gravity Box. You need the one with JB at the end (for Jelly Bean) and not the one with KK (for KitKat). That could be why. I'm on 4.4.2 on my N5 and N7, and both have Launcher Tweaks under where it says Media Tweaks.

Oh. My bad. I always think of the Google Now Launcher as the stock launcher since it's stock on my N5, and also installed on my N7. I think it may only work with the Google Now Launcher. I would think that it would still give you the option to change it, and just not change anything if it weren't compatible. Sorry. I feel like I foolishly got your hopes up. You should give the Google Now Launcher a try. It works perfectly on the N7.

Hi guys,
I'm relatively new to Android and had a few questions regarding customization.
I'm mostly happy with the Pixel Launcher, but I absolutely hate the white haze at the bottom search pill, it ruins my wallpapers.
I would also like the background of the app drawer (when you swipe up from the bottom to see all the apps) to be dark and translucent, so you can see the wallpaper still.
Can i do this anyway? I don't mind using another launcher if I can get it looking just like the Pixel one with those tweaks.
If it matters, I can't root as I have a Verizon Panda.
