[Q] Bootloader unlock: Yes - Sony Xperia M

Xperia M c1904 showing this message before i started following the steps for bootloader unlocking and after following the steps successfully, it still displays the same message except the fact that phone got hard reset. Has my bootloader got unlocked ?!?!?

Bootloader unlock allowed : yes < this means you can unlock it but current state is locked.
Bootloader unlock : yes < this means the current state of the bootloader is unlocked
This is what mine says and my bootloader is locked
Also please post questions in the Q&A section not in general

[Q] How to check if the bootloader is locked or unlocked?

Hello Frnds,
I need to submit my handset for housing crack issue to the SE service center.. But recently I had flashed it with the Stock ROM prepared with the help of SEUS and Flashtool. So can anyone tell me how to check my Bootloader has been unlocked or it is still locked? Because the method to flash the Stock ROM I used says that it wont unlock the bootloader.. So can somebody please tell me how can I check it? If it is unlocked then the SEUS or PC Companion will not detect it, right? Thanks..

If you did not unlock downloader then it will be locked, if you have you can relock it just search, and DooMLorD has a thread getting back to stock, hope this helps.

If you unlock your bootlaoder, you will loose the DRM aplications like TrackID. So start the TrackID app and if it works, your bootloader is still locked, if it doesn't and you get some error, then it's unlocked.
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* . Then go to -> "Service Info" -> "Configuration". If there is:
Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes << this means that your Bootloader is Locked
Bootloader Unlocked - Yes << this means that your bootloader is unlocked
Thanks all.. I checked.. It is not unlocked..
and if it says "Bootloader unlock allowed: No", I guess I have to the "pay" route to get it unlocked?

That means you have Simlock. You have to pay for simlock code for unlock and then unlock the bootloader

Thanks for the quick response. It is already SIM unlocked, so I guess the next step is paying for bootloader unlock?

Wrong. SIM/network lock and bootloader are completely separate.
It will always say "Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes" even if your bootloader is unlocked. Yes or No just refers to if it can be unlocked.
I did it on my x10i and the text bootloader isnt there anywhere. so what now?

I must confirm this. I've just unlocked bootloader on SE xperia mini pro, and before unlocking it was saying "Bootloader unlock allowed - Yes " and now after unlock it says "Bootloader Unlocked - Yes"

That's totally wrong. If it says no, the only way to unlock it is paid and if it says yes, then it allows you to unlock it yourself with the test point or the official SE unlock bootloader feature using your IMEI.

[Q] How I can unlock my bootloader ? HELP

Hi everyone ! I have a Xperia Arc LT15i and I found out using *#*#7378423#*#* that I cannot unlock bootloader (Bootloader unlock allowed: No). How I can unlock my bootloader because I want a ROM like CM9 or JJ's Hybrid and it`s must to have bootloader unlock. Please help me with unlocking the bootloader, or please help to find a ROM like CM9 without unlock my bootloader. I want to say that I am not very skilled Waiting for more tips.
download flashtool then Plug in > unlock bootloader
it will guide you to sony's web page, copy paste the code and let flashtool unlock it
Actually JJ's ROM doesn't require an unlocked boot loader.

If you have bootloader unlock allowed:no standing, then you can't unlock it with Sony service, because your IMEI number is then 15 symbols long, so no way for unlocking bl without paying for services like setool

Hi,
If you have bootloader unlock allowed:no , you can unlock it with Omnius , but is not free, 15€/unlock .
I unlocked my LT15i with Omnius, I had "unlock allowed:no" before.
So .. I can't unlock my bootloader, only if I paid :crying:
Setool & Omnius links?
you guys got any links related to this Omnius and Setool things? or other alternatives for Xperias stating that unlocking bootloader is not allowed?.. I had thought that if they say so, it was just impossible to unlock...

I'm starting to get angry I said and ludz179 in answer above you I can not unlock the bootloader so because the Service Info says Bootloader unlock allowed: No
was only giving info you say your phone says cannot unlock boot loader then from wat iv seen there is no way to unlock it.
but there is lots of roms out there that run well on none unlocked bootloaders and using new flashtool seems easy plus using DooMLoRD to root the phone .. I think the only way to do it would be to send it to sony service to unlock but knowing them you go no chance
just trying to help thats all
Can't help enquiring. You mention that there are several roms that are available which does not need to have the bootloader unlock.Could you give me the links please.

LT26i - BOOTLOADER UNLOCK ALLOWED = NO

Have a LT26i .Purchased on contract with eMobile - an Irish network. I'm now out of contract . The config on the phone reads - BOOT LOADER UNLOCK ALLOWED - NO .
The USB port as a data port stopped working about 8 monyhs back , after applying an update. I am now getting a prompt to apply 6.1.A.2.45 from SONY.But can't update becuse PC COMPANION doesn't recognise the phone connected to the USB port .
The network have been unable to unlock the bootloader. Sony have expressed their helplessness as well .
I want to try custom ROMs . Is there a sure fire way to unlock the bootloader ?
Thanks
Lig
You have to contact your network about the bootloader.
Sony can allow the bootloader unlocking, but it has to come from network.
Unfortunately Sony is very slow on updates but very good on network contract protections...

May be some carrier devices won't allow your device bootloader to stay locked forever.. It may not be unlockable. If bootloader is already unlocked, it should say "Bootloader unlocked: YES"..

So it is necessary to install sdk tools or only this rar file?
Thanks
Rar file is enough

Wether the device's bootloader is unlocked or not?
I tried unlocking the bootloader of my device: Sony Xperia M (C-1904) using cmd technique. It got finished successfully. But after i unplugged the phone from the pc and turned it on, it got stuck at bootloop. To solve this I tried to reflash the whole firmware (which i downloaded from Xperifirm) and i got success. My phone started working again. After that I rooted my phone again which was also successful. But now i don't know wether my device's bootloader is locked or unlocked. Can anyone tell me the easy way to check it??

Phone > *#*#7378423#*#* > Service info > Customisation. Rooting status will say "Bootloader Unlocked: yes". Re-flashing firmwares doesn't relock the bootloader.

As per you said, i tried that method and i got the result as:
"Rooting Status:
Bootloader Unlock: Yes"
So does it mean that my bootloader is unlocked.

Providing that it says "Bootloader Unlocked: yes", and not "Bootloader Unlock Allowed: yes", then yes it is unlocked.

Flash a new rom on Xperia M with locked bootloader

hello everyone i'm new to this flashing devices thing so be patient with me please
i have an Xperia M C1905 with locked bootloader and i can't seem to unlock it but i really want to flash new roms of Android 5 but i have no idea how to do so without CWM so can you please help me by telling me how or showing me a thread that does i will be forever thankful
can anyone please help me i still didn't get an answer for my problem pleaaaaaase
Hello, welcome to the Xperia M forums. I hope you manage to find what you are looking for here, however the device is a low activity device (namely due to the lack of locked bootloader recovery).
Firstly, please see if your device's bootloader can be unlocked. To do this please follow the steps I am about to post;
1) Open your phone dialer,
2) Type *#*#7378423#*#* (*#*#SERVICE#*#*),
3) Tap Service Info,
4) Tap Configuration,
5) Look to Rooting Status, it will show one of three statuses;
5.1) Rooting status 1; Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes (this means that you can unlock your bootloader).
5.2) Rooting status 2; Bootloader unlock allowed: No (this means that you can't unlock your bootloader).
5.3) Rooting status 3; Bootloader unlocked: Yes (this means that your bootloader is already unlocked).
If you have either status 1 or 3 you are able to install Android 5 onto your device.
Firstly you will have to have an unlocked bootloader, you can do this by following the official instructions by Sony here (skip this if your bootloader is unlocked).
Then use a ROM from the forums what is Android M based.
If you have status 2 however you are unable to install Android 5 onto your device I'm afraid.
