Edit PAC Performance app is now on play storie
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pacman.performance
To update it from here you have to remove PAC performance from system app and reboot. Then install from play store.
Install as normal apk
Needs root.
It's extracted from PAC ROM but working good on other ROM.
With this you can disable second core but you have to set a single core governor for it to stick (ondemand, interactive)

P.S Disabling second core brought me an huge increase in battery life!!
before it was lasting for 10-12 hours with this ( not running on heavy usage or it would kill performance),
and now it can lasts a day (like in cm10.2 by maclaw) but I use phone a lot (3G, camera, calls, sms etc)

Read the OP!

Don't know if PAC performance is the same as AOKP, anyway, was ported (with much more options) a long time ago here. Enjoy
Edited: & yes, it support our S3 mini.
It's not the same I think, the only reason i shared this is beacause it allows to shut off second core giving a battery life boost...

Ah, ok sorry. Anyway, I'll leave the link, just in case anyone want to try that app too
I was thinking of transforming this thread in a tweaks, mod section where to share all performance or battery tweaks working in our device. What do you think guys? It worth the time?

Yes, disable set on boot in performance setting but remember to disable 2nd core on PAC performance on every reboot, it doesn't stick for the moment

I just want to share this thread on galaxy ace's forums.
Sometimes, even when using a super phone like galaxy siii or nexus 4 you will find some lag at games, or going back to home launcher will take for ever and on our device, we can see this a lot. Well XDA Senior member lambgx02 noticed that and had a look into it. And well it seems that google added something that makes android regenerade random numbers and makes the phone lag at somepoint. He developed an app that stops this and works on Ace(can confirm on StockRom Evolution) and needs root acces. Anyway you can take a look at the original thread right here for more details and download.
Please POST here about your experiance with this App. And I don't really need to be thanked since I am not the creator, I just sharing.
Did you see this on xda TV aswell :L . I was just about to share this

I tryied the apk with AOSP ICS by MaclawStudio and i must say i'm really impressed! Rom's blazing fast, even after installing a bunch of apps!
Lots of negative stuff on original thread as well as praise, but I have been using apk for 3 days and has made an amazing difference to my ace.
Send to be some question about how it works/what it does, but for now the difference it had made to my mobile its worth the risk

FYI
This hibernates apps that like to run in the background on JB (ICS?), freeing up ram.

it`s absolutely vital to the phone, is one of the main cores of the android system.. i cant recall exactly what is doing tho, but i remember that you cant disable, or anything like that.. from what i have read other ppls using different roms seem to have the same problem with netd eating up the cpu, and some of them said that it was somewhat related to some specific governors...so try to switch from whatever governor you are now to a different one and see if it helps
the thing is, that the lib isnt needed for gio/ace/mini/fit ...
Maybe the try to load it makes more ram consumption, but it can be easy disabled in source

How to disable it ? Because my gio was very smooth, and suddenly laggy after its appear with high cpu usage.
And what is the bad effect if we disable it ?

It has something to do with the wifi interface. I had netd-hangs everytime I had wifi & 3G on while no known wifi network was around me. Since I'm disabling wifi when I leave home, I didn't had any hangs anymore. Changing governor doesn't help, tested by myself.

Hey guys
I am using cm 10 latest build with hurtsky kernel 3.3 and seeder

Don´t know what post you are reading and who is giving such advices, as it´s anyway enabled in Arcos roms. The only thing you can additionally do is to force 2D apps to use GPU rendering as well insteed of using CPU rendering.
In games the GPU and its rendering is anyway used, so that´s pure nonsense and has no sideeffect when forcing other 2d apps to use it as well.
As I'm using optimus nexus me v5 ROM, just other work ok but fb so slow n laggy ? N why? Help me!

There are issues with Facebook app itself. It is very slow loading app with every ROM. So its better to use Facebook in browser.
Oh alright thanks for you're info by the way do cm9 or cm10 works good then cm7?

I think cm9 is the best ROM for this phone
Sent from my LG-P350 using xda app-developers app
When compared to cm 7 , cm 9 n 10 takes more memory. U cannot install many apps in those.. also battery performance in cm 7 is better than others..
Oh alright so its better to experience all in cm7 .....right? Ok and lol I had try to download your link but it's downloaded just 124kb ?

ROM
A better option would be to take stock CM7.2 rom, and futher debloating it, then use Swapper 2 to swap, and Overclock to 729MHz and set governer to SmartASSV2. That should take care of all your lags, and yeah, Chainfire definately helps when used with the plugins.
BTW, V6 Supercharger or Adrenaline Mod should speed things up a lot... I get close to 20 Hrs of usage on a single charge.. With 3G always on.
