Now, 1. open sixaxis compatability checker and grant super user permissions and take a screen grab of the code you get on sixaxis compatability checker
2. Now connect your ps3 controller with your PC and open the app sixaxis pair tool and and type in the code which you got from sixaxis compatability checker
3. Now disconnect your controller from the PC and open sixaxis controller on your phone and press the start button and now press the ps button on your controller and your controller with get connected to your phone and then you can play games like asphalt 8 or gt racing 2 or gta san andreas with it

Tried using SixAxis app, no root yet
Connected via adb, but having trouble finding file location of bluetooth xml or address
Tried netcfg , non of the interfaces looked like bluetooth (p2p0, lo, eth0, wlan0, ...)
Need help finding bluetooth MAC address of the console
I saw in the general forum that the PS3 wired controller is listed as working, not sure if this is the same. Tried my with wired USB connection, not working for me

At this time it isn't possible. People have looked into it and I guess it's something to do with the pin pairing mechanism not being compatible with the current HID on the fire tv? Dualshock 4 controller does work, but the buttons map weird.
Has anyone given this a shot since we got root?

I also had to "stop" the sixaxis service and use my firetv remote and select the "menu" button on the remote and then from the screen select"preferences" "gamepad settings" and check "enable gamepad" exit back and then start the service.
worked fine the menus... now I have to test it games

ps3 controller works great.. only thing that sucks is the controller stays on and the fire tv doesnt go to sleep.
i was able to play GTA San Andrea's no problem

So I've managed to successfully pair the PS3 controller to the FTV, however, it seems to have issues with up and left, as they are nonresponsive. I did get the correct MAC address for both the FTV and the PS3 controller. I can navigate menus and launch apps, however some of the controls are not working correctly. If anyone has had a similar problem, please let me know how to resolve this.

will someone who has successfully connected a ps3 controlled to fire tv please post a step-by-step? i've tried following the russian translated instructions but i'm not having any success at this point.
with the sixaxis tool on the fire tv, i usually get to the point where it says 'listening for controllers' after i start it and the fire tv freezes

I really want to connect my ps4 controller to my note 3 to play emulator games. I bought a usb OTG cable and plug in the phone,when I press the search button on the ps4 controller it judt flashes and doesn't connect. I have tried usb/bt center and sixaxis controller apps. Im on jedi elite with included kernel. Thanks for any help guys.
Edit: tested usb OTG cable in phone and it will read connected drives, just not the controller.

Get the sixaxis app from the market, and get the pair tool app for your pc from the dancingpixels.com website.
Connect the PS3 to your pc with a usb cable. Launch the pair tool on the pc. In your phone settings get the bluetooth address and type it into the pair tool then apply it.
Disconnect, launch the app on the phone and hit pair and push the PS3 button on the controller. All the lights will flash, then only one stays on when paired. In future connections you only tap start.

You need to change the Bluetooth Connection of the Controller to the Bluetooth Adress of your Smartphone, to do so, connect your Dual Shock 4 Controller via USB to your Computer/Laptop, download and install "SixaxisPairTool".
Edit: also your device if i remember right needs to be rooted for it to work aswell.
