[HELP] Nokia X Update Unavailable

Hello guys. I recently bought the handset for my bro. And I read about the v 11.1 software update that is rolling out these days. However I'm still unable to get the OTA update. I keep checking it continuously via software update in Settings-->About Phone. Can any devs tell me what is the problem here?
P.S: My device isn't rooted and I haven't done any type of modding with it.

@SilverDragon24 has the zip that u can flash via stock recovery!

Thankyou so much guys. Unfortunately, I got the update yesterday.
It would be great though that you leading developers create a thread where you keep updating files for future updates. This way we all could get the update at the same time.

10.5.A.0.230 0.2MB Patch [OTA]

Hi guys today i received an 0.2MB update for my 10.5.A.0.230 KITKAT , Considering the size of the update i feel it must be a bug fix .
I have just installed the OTA , It has not changed the build number though .Look and feel remains the same .
Has anyone has else received the update and does anyone have any idea about what this OTA is all about .?

Not a bugfix version. Just a change in build.prop

AFAIK, this is the only change. Yeah it sounds weird.

I also received the same update and tried to update but error shows «could not install» after reboot...
Did you root your device..??

Bro i have rooted my device.. and I have installed the patch..
So that should not cause you any problem.
have you installed cwm or any other recoveries like twrp, if so it will cause errors for OTA.

I have install dual recovery..so that may be the issue, now what should I do to install that update

Bro all you can do is uninstall dual recovery from phone [I think the thread from where u installed dual recovery has instructions on how to uninstall it] and then try reinstalling the OTA . But IMO why take all this pain when this OTA does nothing good , its a just a small modification to build.prop . You can wait until sony releases some major bug fix update if at all there is any.

Nothing changes with this update , There is still lag in settings menu once you uncheck force GPU rendering and we have still issues with location associated battery drain .
But I still wonder why sony took so much trouble with releasing update when this was just an update to build.prop with respect to region ...

Maybe they are preparing the terrain for the release of 4.4.4

yeah bro , that's the only thing which is inside this update , but do update the OTA because it might come in handy for 4.4.4 update if at all if we are getting it .

[Guide] Whatsapp Fix in Stock Rom

Whatsapp "Device not supported" issue.
(YOUR DEVICE MUST BE ROOTED!)
-----------------------------------------------
Steps to fix this issue in Nokia X are:
1) download Rom Toolbox Lite (http://www.appsapk.com/rom-toolbox-lite/) and install
2) Open the app then tap "ROOT BROWSER"
2) Go to "system" directory and tap "build.prop"
3) Tap "RB Text Editor"
4) Find the line "ro.product.manufacturer=Nokia” and change Nokia to Baidu
5) Save the file then reboot your phone
6) ???
7 PROFIT!

Remember to backup your /system/build.prop so can undo change if future OTA update fails. At least X2's OTA mechanism is balking at build.prop customizations.

Not if you did what you said correctly. I used ES File Explorer to do this and got my phone soft bricked. Had to flash stock ROM. Though, no regrets, I couldn't update my phone due to root so I flashed the updated ROM

There is a better way now. Whatsapp Plus works on the Nokia X/XL without any modifications. If I am not mistaken its version 6.0

but whatsapp plus isnt working on my device. verification doesnt work they ask to install original whatsapp first than talk with some friends then uninstall it and download whatsapp+ again but i cant verify on whatsapp too because they said "device not supported".
clicking from widget doesnt work anymore.

Then edit build.prop using Root Explorer. Change ro.build.manufacture from Nokia to Baidu.

because WA+ require some files from WA official... so you need to install WA official first.
try guide on this thread...work 100%
you can change ro.build.manufacture from nokia to Baidu/Sony/Samsung.

my nokia XL to 1.2.3.1 no problem.

And one more thing i've notice there is a apps called apps2sd its not working anymore before there's option to transfer apps to sd now when o try to move it only show move to phone and internal memory, is there any news regarding this problem? Tnx

Nokias partition layout is diff than other Android phones. So thats the problem.

it works, but then mixradio app says no support for non-Nokia phone...anyone can help on this?

Bugs issues after update 5.0.2 (d5322)

Hi all
its been 18hrs i have been using the update and have come across below issues.
1. creepy speaker output(feels very bad sound output)
2. sudden fezzes
3. camera gone bad i think
4. settings wont open many times while trying to access from notification notification dragged down
5. had to update latest album manually
will update further day by day if come across
also would request you all please confirm above bug if you face

it's the same for me., took maximum 4 hours for charging.
might even quicker if you put it at airplane mode while charging.

You will have to reinstall recovery... the same procedure as 4.4.3.

dual recovery is due for update wait for nut to update it

Already contacted Dev and giving him all the log files he needed so there vl be recovery soon..see devb thread for more information

I have some bugs, walkman catches reproduction for a few seconds randomly over 5 tabs in chrome and the device is slow / stuttering heavily .The rest of this perfect
