Is anyone having issues with S Health on the new 4.4.2 stock rom (T-Mobile). Looks like I am on 2.5.4.066 and have a stock Note 3, just upgraded to KitKat OTA. I wiped my phone, factory reset, just to have a clean start. for some reason, when I launch S Heath and have it try to restore my data, it looks like it crashes the TW UI and does not download my data.
I tried clearing cache, including in recovery. I don't see any updated version. Not update to un-install etc....any ideas on what I could try next?
Thanks in advance.
Tom
Naw Ive been having the same issues. Had to just start over. I couldn't restore my history but the back up is working now.

Hey, I had the same problem too. I really dont know for sure what the exact cause is, but after elimationg the MulitWindow app that allows you to add all apps to the multiwindow bar AND also just starting fresh with the shealth app (dont restore, just set it up again) i was able to get shealth running again. And after about a day it did pull up my old data and restored it. Also if you are using the multiwindow app, you can avoid it and just use wanam to add all the apps you want. This worked for me, hope it works for you. Best of luck!

I have never been one to make an "oh my god help me" thread on a site like this. I thought I followed everything as it should have been done. But apparently not. Here's my story.
Flashed over CM 7.2 and the install went perfectly. I installed Google Apps and everything was fine. I then wanted all of my backed up apps and data back. So I went into CWM and told it to restore data. I rebooted, and dear god, everything is crashing. I get 15-30 force closes right off the bat, ADW is crashing, and things are going batcrap insane. Any idea what I did wrong or how to fix it? Thank you so much in advance for anyone with some wisdom on this topic.

I would start fresh again and use either TB or MyBackUp Pro, I use MyBackUp Pro and love it simple ui simplicity, restores apps, data including settings, sms, mms, contacts, etc....

Thanks for the super fast reply! Do you think I need to like... start OVER over? I guess this is a rhetorical question... I'm gonna wipe data and cache and whatnot, and restore data again before even rebooting the phone. I may have confused it by registering Google Play and downloading a couple of apps (Rom Toolbox and My Backup Pro) before restoring my data. Maybe I confused it... I'll report back my findings for anyone in the future who encounters this issue.

No but ODIN does help re fresh everything but not needed you can just wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset. And start from there.

Thanks for the help and suggestions! I fixed it. Factory reset, cleared cache and dalvik, and used Titanium to restore everything app by app. My Backup Root didn't work as well, since I couldn't go piece by piece. Thanks again, everything is working perfectly and I now know the joy of my first real ROM

What do you mean piece by piece?
The way I do it is install my backup and save the apk version so when I restore phone I download a file manager install and restore apps. When you backup apps you just save it as apks only. And save data and it restores properly. But whatever haha.

Well, it let me decide exactly which apps to restore, since I guess I had backed up so many times that I wouldn't have even had room... It allowed me to go app by app and decide which ones to restore, along with the respective data, as well as doing all the system data at once. It was really quite nice. But I was being stubborn and thought for some reason restoring from CWM was the best route, so thanks for the redirection
Your mistake was restoring data from a nandroid (CWM). It restores system data as well. Unless it is a known good nandroid and basically the same firmware (ie. Touchwiz EL30 to Touchwiz EL30, CM7 RC2 to CM7 RC3) you should not use that to restore data. Glad you got everything working again.
Trying to flash 4.3 but I have to avoid this horrible Knox thing! One reason I want 4.3 is because there is a volume mod that only works for 4.3.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2553149

Check that link it returns a 404. Btw I'm mainly trying to upgrade just so I can use that audio mod because it won't work for 4.1.2, and equalizer doesn't work for 4.1.2 and above.
Also, will can I restore if I don't like it? Do you think it's worth the upgrade from 4.1.2?

Cool it works, anyway, will I lose my texts / contacts and apps if I flash this?
Also what data / cache must I remove in cwm before flashing?

You will lose the texts/data only if you wipe/factory restore your phone. (I highly advise to do this).
Here is what I did. I haven't had any problems yet.
1) Backed up all apps and data to titanium backup
2) Updated CWM
3) Booted into CWM.
4) Factory reset phone. Deleted cache and davik cache as well.
5) Flashed rom. Flashed wifi fix. Flashed knox apps remover. (In that order)
6) Booted up phone.
7) After boot, turned phone off.
8) Booted into CWM again.
9) Flashed MK3 modem. Flashed hotspot mod.
10) Booted up phone. Restored apps and data.

I didn't wipe/factory and it installed well, don't see any problems so far.
Actually the only problem so I far that I see is that SuperSU isn't working, so I have to try and flash that one he included in the thread.
Also all my apps are still here and I didn't use titanium backup...I'm confused...it's because I didn't wipe/factory?

Yup. If you would have done a wipe then your apps would have been gone.

Try uninstalling the Google play services update and then update. I had the same issue on another ROM and it worked for me

No it's not those.. It consists of Google back up, sync, play store, and other things, but I think it'll be better to just wipe the system, reflash ROM, and then flash kk gapps.. You should be up and running by then

This. Anytime you are moving to a new base (in this case Android 4.3 to Android 4.4) your best option is to do a full wipe and fresh install. You can backup and restore your app data to the new version, just not your system settings.
The CM installer tried to outsmart this but if it doesn't work perfectly, just do a full wipe and fresh flash.
However, if you want to try flashing a KK Gapps package, I'm sure it won't brick your phone. So it's worth a shot to see if that fixes it. It will only waste 30 seconds of your time if it doesn't.

No. I said that WON'T brick it. That's why it's worth a shot.
No risk. High potential reward.
You might also try using Titanium to manually uninstall all google apps and services before flashing the KitKat Gapps package.

Another problem is my Titanium Back-Up Pro can no longer write on my SD card to back-up my apps to it, anyone know how I could fix this?

Wipe dalvik cache and cache should help with your clock app. As for the Ti Backup app, you may want to try the newest version. Mine is working alright.

Nope didn't work anymore ideas?
Have you tried clearing the cache and data from in the Application Manager? Open System Settings and choose the General tab. From here scroll down and choose Application Manager. Now swipe left three times to the All category. Scroll down to clock and choose it. In the new window scroll down and clear cache then clear data above it. Now reboot and go into TWRP and wipe Dalvik again. This process will delete any alarms you have created.

At this point I would personally re-flash the system. Starting at Step 0 with the guide you linked.
Like all new Samsung roms it has a write protect on the system so you can't write to the SD card get ahold of the write fix and just push it into the system/etc/permissions folder and everything will work again

I think I got the file it's something like build.prop.sd.fix.zip I'm going to flash it using my recovery. Is that good?

could be lots of things
have you used an app like titanuim to load back up data to apps?
have you installed a new app recently or use one you haven't used for a long time? There was a problem a few months ago with one of the sdk devs use to build their apps that caused apps to crash. You have to uninstall app, then wait for dev to build it on new sdk.
If It's not that then maybe corrupt app data, you need to identify the app & try wipe it's data, not just cache
