After you do that, turn off the "Always On Mobile Data" option. I still get push Gmail (the stock mail app that I use for MobileMe doesn't work hourly, but syncs when I open it and randomly without sometimes). Everything else works normal, but when your phone is locked nothing but Gmail, text messages and app alarms that use Slacker/Pandora work just fine. Pandora stops between songs (I listen while I'm setting up my work station) just hit the top power button and it'll resume.
I get about 30 hours with moderate usage. Checking about 10-20 emails per day, listening to Pandora for about an hour or so, checking some web pages, a few text messages, few photos and maybe playing Angry Birds for a bit is my moderate usage. I also keep Bluetooth off unless i'm in my car and I stream to my radio, gps is off unless I use navigation (I still use the tower triangulation for correct weather) and Wi-Fi off.
Sorry for being so long. Hope that helps.

task killer

Hi everyone
I'm looking for a program that can terminate a task after a certain time.
For example, i'm listening to music before i go to sleep, but right before i fall asleep, i have to manually end the program and that kinda wakes me up. I just want to put my phone away and sleep ) knowing that my player will be killed after x minutes and saving my battery for the night.
I know it sounds funny, but that was just an example to make you understand what i'm looking for
so, if anybody knows some application that does what i described please let me know
thanks a lot

AudioOut_2 Wakelock

After using Betterbatterystats on my Note 2 there is only one thing that is killing my battery from going into deep sleep. I did a lot of research on this wakelock and all I could find was to make sure you have it set to sound, then reboot then you could change it to vibrate or silent. I never have on sound for buttons so I know this isn't the problem. Has anyone found the solution to this wakelock or am I the only one. Thanks.

Were you listening to music or watching a video?
You will get "AudioOut_2" partial wakelocks not just with music/video players... but also if you play games (even if you select mute in that game). You show nearly 2 hrs of this wakelock in 3hrs since unplug (cannot see your "deep sleep" or "awake" times). Either you were playing a game OR that game was left open in the background. Check your open processes... kill any games and like... then reset your BBS stats (Menu... Set Custom Ref). Open one of your games (if you have one)... play for 30sec.. then EXIT that game. Check your BBS stats and you'll probably show 30sec of AudioOut_2 partial wakelock. your phone should be deep-sleeping however when sceen is off.. if not, that's a problem.

uncheck keytones and screen lock sounds.
I've also found this to be due to the touch sounds enabled. It's also responsible for the 'keep awake' time in mediaserver. I don't think this is supposed to be intended function. I'm inclined to think AudioOut_2 should only show up when sounds are being produced
I've been looking for a way to have the process killed whenever it isn't in the foreground. Anyone know of an app that will do that?
Apperently Viber can cause that wakelock. I installed it yesterday and today I had the same audioout2 wakelock problem for 2½ hours in 4 hours uptime. I have tried a fix that should work and I will see if it is Viber that caused it. The fix is to go to settings in Viber and enable "use system sounds" instead of the apps own sounds.
R: AudioOut_2 Wakelock
I haved same problem of audioout_2 and i have found that google play music was causing the problem, if i play a song, stop and exit, my phone don't go anymore in deep sleep, and audioout_2 remain active until i set the media volume to 0.
I think it's a bug of google play music.

I get the same wakelock regardless of which music player I use. I've tried Shuttle, Google Music, PowerAmp, and PlayerPro.

[Q] LG Alarm/Clock crashes if i don't hear it.

twice now yesterday and this morning i didn't hear my phone got to bed late, so i didn't hear it so i wake up after it had ring like half an hour or and hour or more, and than i can't access the app, i kill the service and go in again it normally the alarm starts kicking off, and like 10mins after my phone automatically reboots on it's own.
is there a way to fix this problem?

Awful battery since latest update aw2

Yesterday during my sleep time in sleep mode my watch used 75% of the battery today in 3hours I'm down 25% any ideas ?
I checked my watch 51% of the battery on the music app.. I don't have music on my watch.... anyone can help me explain that ?
Glad I came to this site. Havent downloaded this update and hesitating to do so.
My app says its R820XXU1CTI4 so I have icon on my phone.
I found the problem it was reporting 50+ % of music app usage it seems that when I'm watching twitch it thinks it's music so it send the pasuse continue play to the phone, I disabled music control from the phone to the watch and voila , however music control uses too much battery

Where did you find the disable music control setting?
I would like to know how to disable the music control as well, as I have the exact problem. Listened to podcasts overnight and saw a %50 batter usage from the music app despite having never opened it.

This works one time, hitting pause and play again resets it on my device.
Manually having to turn off music control every time you hit play is not ideal for my use. Apparently another Samsung watch had the same problem a year or two ago and was only resolved with an update.

Update, this setting did not initially stick reversing itself. It now appears to be sticking and working as intended.
How did you get it to stick ? Mine keeps automatically switching back whenever I stop and start a new track.

I just played with it and now it's not working again. I'm not able to figure out a sequence to get it to stick.
