[Q] NFS most wanted problem >_< - Sony Xperia M

How to install Most wanted on Xperia M(C1904).. i pasted the data files in sdcard/android/data.
still it asks to download data files via wifi.. do i need it to put it in internal?

Question threads go to Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting Section, not here. Don't do it again, if you please.
Those files must be put in /sdcard/Android/obb, not in /data.

You can play having that file on sdcard but you need to mount that folder using Folder Mount or gl2sd.
And you placed the file in right folder., for nfs the you need to paste files in sdcard/data not in obb.

If the data files are Obb files, only then it shall be placed inside the obb folder, else, it should be inside data folder. But neither of them works for xperia M because of its low internal memory (2GB). Hence, to play NFS Mostwanted, which is around 2GB, you need to swap your internal memory to sd card by using apps like folder mount, internal to sd, etc. (however Gl to Sd won't work as it does not detect NFS Mostwanted).
I hope I could help.

Download External to Internal, go to setting, change original mounting point to /storage/sdcard0 and external mounting point to ext_card and change ext sdcard device access to /dev/block/vold/179:33. and swap your internal and external SD, keep the NFS data on your sd card-android-data folder and then swap. swapping also installs apps straight to SD card straight from app store

[Q] I want to format my SD Card but..

Greetings everyone,
After almost a year of using xperia arc and plenty of cleanups with SEUS I never formated my SD Card. I have a 16GB class 6 one which is half full (Mostly with music, pictures and videos) and yet its full of folders from Apps i used in the past.
The question is; If i delete everything from sd card via computer, then re-mount the card will the needed folders be replaced? Also I have moved apps to sd which i still use, will the folders be replaced aswell?
and last; I already copied all the files i need to my computer, if I will re-download an app and paste the folder back there, will I have the saves back?

a bit difficult, try to delete the unused folders instead
but if you do the right backup of the needed data, yes the data will be there.
and the deleted folders created by system should be recreated

You must make sure that you format your SD card with FAT32 file system. If you are using Windows OS then there is no need to get worried.Just go ahead with the normal procedure.
Once you format, all the folders and files will be deleted and when you mount it in your phone, the necessary files and folders will be created on its own. These necessary files do not belong to the applications you moved to SD card and it means that you must create a back up of your apps before you format your card,in order to use the apps even if you format your sd card.
I would suggest "Titanium Backup" app to back-up your apps. And when you are done with the back up, make sure that you copy the folder named "TitaniumBackup" from your sd card to your PC/Notebook and then format your card.

wtf?... gl to sd is a 141kb app and i have 550mb of storage left and its says : not enough storage ... how can it be possible?.. and i have rooted phone..
and can you please give me a link to a :directorybind manuel? beacuse i dont know where to find it.
There is no way to move installed apps (installed .apks) to internal memory except one, and that is to use a mod that makes your phone thinks that sd card is your internal memory and internal memory is your sd card. This way, the phone automatically installs apps to your sd card, because it thinks of it as internal storage.
If you don't like the above option (and I personally don't), then search for Directory Bind. It can't move .apks installed to external but it can basically mount anything on your sd card to your internal. This means that it can be really useful especially for big games (like need for speed) that have up to 2gb stored in your internal memory. Just make sure to download the latest version, which is 0.2.0o. If you learn how to use it, you won't have any shotage in storage issues.

FIrst thing you need to do after installing is go to preferences and change the "Default data path" for the Note 2 path:
Default data path for note 2 should be: /storage/extSdCard
Default target path for note 2 should be: /sdcard/
Tick the Bind on boot box to make the program automatically bind the paths once you boot. Also makes sure that "Persistent Service" is ticked.
Then leave settings and go to Add New Entry. Put the entry you want moved from internal to external.
For example i moved my need for speed game data (1.8gb) to enternal by using this entry
Data path: /storage/extSdCard/Android/data/com.ea.games.nfs13_na/
Target Path: /sdcard/Android/data/come.ea.games.nfs13_na/
Tick the "Transfer files from target to data" and then click "Add".
After that the app basically moved my data from target path to data path and mounted it (it fools the phone into thinking that data is still in your internal storage, that's how it works). After you finish doing all the entries you want, click menu >>More >> Backup database. Read the topic above to learn more.

Yes it should work. I don't see why it wouldn't. You should download 0.2.0o, which is the latest version.
well.. its time to try it .. just before i do . you think its neccessery to backup all my apps with titanium backup ?ty for help..
Like I said, the app doesn't move apps or manipulate them in any way. It can only move folders found in internal storage and mounts them to make the phone think they are still there.

how to move apk onto sd

Hi everybody,,
I want to know how to move apk & data files onto external sd. when i moved apk via settings or with the help of app2sd or force2sd, that apk & data files weren't actually moved onto external sd.
Can it possibly apk & data files be moved onto external sd in P6?
And then, when I used gl2sd apk, it can't mount.
Is it not compatitble with P6 ???
Thanks in advance!!!

correct answer!
why dont option default storage external sd card to setting? only sd card data obb apk install..interesting..no space left on the memory.
Thanks all for your kindly answers.
But I just want to know how come you moved apk onto sd card via setting.
When I moved onto external sdcard, the phone showed that that apk is moved onto external sdcard but it didn't actually moved.
Cuz no filed associated with that apk cannot be found in the external sd.
So i finally concluded that it is because of Huawei P6 and I suggest everyone not to buy this phone if you want to play HD games.
however, if you want to use just surfing & normal phone usage, that P6 is cool.
Thanks to all.

Mind to share the more details how to get that?
I have tried several methods.
First I tried to install de 116 chinese rom, where you can choose the default method as sd, but this doesn't work, it only installs in the sd the apks you are able to move in our version.
Then I tried link2sd, doesn't work, you have to do the partition tree externally and after that it says our phone is not supported.
Finally I tried to change the default location with adb tool, I think this has worked but there are some problems installing apps like swiftkey in the sd, they are not working well so you have to move to the phone, by now this is the best solution.
Anyway, I wanted to install google play music so I can keep the music in the phone but you cant delete it from the internal memory so my method doesnt work either...

xperia m app2sd problem

hello,i own an experia m c1905 4.3 rooted...the problem is that link2sd or app2sd do not work(it shows that there is not an sd card or my phone does not support it or the sd card is emulated)so is this a problem of the firmware?would it work in 4.1.1?or is a problem of my phone?could anyone help me with this?thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english....!!!!!
Bro xperia m doesn't support moving apps to external sd but you can use link2sd to link your apps to external sd instead of moving, linking will move all the data of the app to external sd, making space on internal sd but you have to make a partition on your external SD if you want to use link2sd using mini partition tool.
So download mini partition tool on your pc, connect your external sd through phone or card reader and make a fat32 partition of 2gb or however you like and then you will be able to use link2sd.

Bro app2sd won't work on any android version in Xperia M but you can use Link2Sd for linking apps to external sd and here is the tutorial link to partition your SD and use link2sd (look at the 4th point) - http://www.xperiablog.net/2011/12/12/link2sd-guide-never-worry-about-internal-memory-limits-again/
And no matter you have locked or unlocked bootloader , you can't transfer apps to sd .... you can only link them.
But if you want you can swap your internal memory to external and vice-versa.

this is exactly what i did and my phone was rebooting all the time so i had to flash the rom again....i made a folder in sd card named 0 and moved all files from internal in there (cut-paste)was this the Wright way?or I have to just copy paste the files???also after the root on 4.3 can i delete thes system.ext4 file cause its too big
Instead of cut/paste try copying the files and look on the 18th page of that swapping sd card thread and follow the step by step guide by "spknair", and yeah you can delete that system.ext4 file now it will be fine.

If you are stuck in boot loop (rebooting after Xperia logo), maybe you are not "full rooted" your handset.
you have to use 'boot fix' to get full root. search for it. test with all available bootfixes available, as I do. I couldn't share my boot fix. its for XMD
why are you still on old firmware?
In my opinion 4.3 is better.

Bro, read carefully his first post, he already told that he is on 4.3 rooted , So that's the new firmware and i don't think there's any need for 'bootfix' for 4.3 root .
I think he must be doing something wrong in the swap procedure that's why he is getting a bootloop and that's why i suggested him to look on your post. :good:

First of all, I am also a newbie to Android.
I had make swap my memory more than 4 times.
because I had tried to link2SD work with this.
1. download busybox & root explorer from store & install it
2. download zip file & APK file from OP
3. install intd.apk. open it. tap on 'activate' & 'verify'. Now you could get the verification.
4. make a folder named "0" (zero) 2 @ root of your memory card.
5. move all files & folders to '0' on your memory card
6. move all files & folders from internal storage to '0'
7. if you got any error message, please copy-paste all files & then delete from internal storage.
8. just extract the zip file. you will get 2 folders
9. move these to root. root is the basic location. I you press back ('parent folder' in root explorer) many times you will get to root position.
10. if you got any error message, please copy-paste all files to its respective locations. you have to mount as r/w in root explorer (option as a button)
11. then go to root-system-etc-iniit.d. folder. there will be a file named "11extsd2internalsd", right?
12.set permissions to '11extsd2internalsd' all 9 options (just ticking) from root explorer's menu. (read, write, execute)
13. Reboot.
Never connect your mobile as mass storage
use any application to stop all running processes & apps before moving (step 5)
No need of formatting & flashing (LB)
In my advice please delete .thumbnail folder from DCIM, which will accelerate your moving speed.

9. move these to root. root is the basic location.
In my advice please delete .thumbnail folder from DCIM, which will accelerate your moving speed.

the problem is that when i extract the zip into init.d it nothing happens it shows just the two files that are already in the folder....(i use root file manager not root explorer because its not free)
ok i finally did it succesfully...i will write exactly what i did to help others having this problem too...
1.i downloaded this zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2681457&d=1397284566
2.i downloaded this apk from this thead http://click.xda-developers.com/api...pdated for (LB) - xda-developers&txt=this app
3.using ''root browser'' (from play store) i created a folder in sd card 1 named ''0'' (without the quotes)
4.moved all files and folders from sd card 1 to folder 0 (the one that i created in sd card 1)
5.moved all files and folders of sd card 0 in the same folder as in step 4(android folder was still there but all other folders and files were moved)
6.i opened init.d and pressed activate and then verify to see if it was succesfull
7.extracted the zip and cut 11extsd2internalsd file and paste it into system/etc/init.d(before this i set all permision ticks to the init.d folder or else could not move the file in it)the other folder named META-INF i copied it to home of the ''root browser''(i mean to the first screen you see as you open the root browser)
8.i set all permisions to 11extsd2internalsd file(9 ticks)
9.rebooted my phone
10.the swap was done succesfully!!!!

Hello again yesterday i realized that when i set the camera to save pictures in sd card which is now the internal the pictures are shown damaged....but i realized that if i set permissions to the photos all nine ticks through explorer they become normal again....what could i do to solve that??
anyone?

Utilising external SD card

After boot I see this entry under my root directory:
lrwxrwxrwx root root 2015-10-16 22:48 sdcard -> /storage/emulated/legacy
I do not understand it very well but it seems the system emulates an SD card using its own memory. Then many applications use this area to save files. The thing is that I have a real external SD Card that I would like all the downloads, music, temp files, documents, everything really to go there.
I have tried to remove the symbolic link 'sdcard' and to make it point to my sd card but I cannot remove it not even as root, read only system, I probably need to use chmod first not sure.
Has anyone done this and know the solution?
Many thanks
The internal storage is emulated as an sdcard.
You can't delete the sym links as they are created upon each boot.
As long as you are rooted you can use your external sd card for whatever you want.
Just point your apps to the right location.

Thank you but I cannot ask all applications to point to the external card. Many applications do not have this setting, either through the Applications Manager or through their own settings. Trying to find files then gets more confusing and every so often I must copy files manually so as to keep them in one place.
Is there perhaps an application that will also run at boot and point to the external card before any other applications start? That might be a good solution?

I have a galaxy tab s and am using Folder Mount and so far (after a few patches the program itself makes with permision) it is working fine for using data files on the storage card.
