[Q] Exchange ActiveSync Notification? - Zooper Widget General

Is it possible with ZW to get the number of un-read email messages from an Exchange Server and display them as a notification count? I am trying to integrate this with Lightning Launcher Extreme and few launchers/widgets seem to allow for ActiveSync integration. I am hoping that Zooper does.

Hey
What's the best way to integrate the push gmail in to the HTC mail programme? Seems like I got two points Accessing the same account lol
you cant.
The Google mail application uses push. the other mail program uses pop/imap and is pull.
There had to be another mail program as the googlemail program is not open source, and therefore the widgets cannot access it.
So the native mail application doesn't have IMAP Idle? You can use Exchange with it though.
I heard K-9 has IMAP Idle but someone will need to confirm and compare it to the gmail application.
Yeah which one do you guys use?
So does k9 work with the widget? I'm sure having both running will kill my battery and plus 2 notifications is annoying
Oh and total random, is the led flash multi coloured?

Best Email App?

so just wondering what email apps people are using and which ones they prefer. Now that hotmail has released exchange activesync support, im lookin for the best exchange email app, im currently using the stock android email app. Bit dissappointed that there is no unread counter widget for the this similar to sms.

Have a look at K-9 mail, it does support exchange. You might also want to take a look at Pure Messenger widget also.
i am also using k-9 since it has imap idle (push mail)
TouchDown - best app for exchange
K-9 didn't worked with my work exchange
Unfortunately, K-9 doesn’t currently work with Hotmail Exchange active sync.
I agree with the op, anyone know of a good email application for Android?
Ideally this is what I would like out of the mail application.
1. To support Hotmail Exchange Active Sync
2. To Support Multiple Exchange accounts including G-Mail
3. To support push email over certain times
4. To allow synchronising of all emails not just one moth
5. To allow the ability to move emails to different folders
6. To be able to create, delete and rename folders
7. To be able to view HTML emails properly
8. To be able to download attachments
9. To have a home page widget that counts unread emails
Hope some bright spark reads this and can either point us in the right direction or create an app that does this.

HELP! unread email count?

HI, i am getting my G2 next week. I was wondering if there an app that have push unread hotmail count? I know there is one for gmail, but cant find one for hotmail. I have 2 hotmail account. Thanks inadvance
You can use ADW Notifier.
It has an unread count for K-9 mail which you can configure to work with your Hotmail accounts.
Also, there is an option that allows you to enable notifications for any application but from my experience, it doesn't work well with the native Email app. It shows a question mark in place of the unread count for me.

[Q] No GMail Notification on Sense 4.0 lockscreen?

I wonder why there is no GMail Notification on the Productivity Lockscreen? Why is there only a notification for the plain Mail Client, but not for GMail?
Am I just blind and can't find the option to activate it, or is it faulty, that means you other guys have GMail notification?
I appreciate any feedback
Probably deliberately missing as HTC use their own Email client
Blame Google, not HTC. Its been ages now but Google changed the Gmail app to improve security and one of the changes is that other apps are no longer able to query to the number of messages unread in Gmail.

I thought that was fixed as of Gmail 2.3.6, I believe.
Others apps are able to use that call function (SMS Unread, MissedIt!, etc)
Has anyone had any luck with this? I would love to have my Gtalk and Gmail notifications on the lock screen when I have new messages...

Only workaround I can think of, off the top of my head would be to install a Lockscreen replacement (WidgetLocker for example) and use an app such as SMS Unread Count OR Missed It! to get those quick counts in there.
I don't know of any app that can give you a quick preview of your unread emails (subject, etc) that's not to say that it doesn't exist; I'm just not aware of one.
can't you just add google mail as one of the accounts within the native app? open the native app and go to menu/new account. you can choose a mail provider, including gmail. don't know if it will run two accounts at once. haven't tried it, and am not using gmail as my main account. so take what i suggest with a grain of salt. good luck.

[Q] live.com alias email

Hey all,
I use live.com for my email, and I have an alias address set up, that delivers mail to a secondary inbox. Trouble is, on the stock email app, I have to manually drill down to that box, which is listed as a folder on the email. Is there some way to create a shortcut to it, or some way for it to notify my when there is new mail? I would use the outlook app, but I like the message preview in the task bar, and Outlook doesn't display the first few lines of the message.
Any have an idea? Thanks
Hi! Have you found a solution? Or any other good app?
I have tried gmail, outlook and blue mail. Receiving emails is just fine (as it's the same inbox), but I can't send nor respond emails with the alias address.
