(q) lost my new s note after factory reset - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Please anyone help me ouy
I was having everything right with my stock note 2 but I formatted recently to boost performance but after factory reset I updated every single thing of phone but new s note update not showing on Samsung apps...

you can have it separate apk from the folded of any rom and move to your phone and install it

Use Samsung apps for new updated snote. You will be able to find the new snote application.

Thanks for answering but its not showing in list of Samsung apps it says all apps are updated and in which rom I can get it folded?

Problem with Titanium Backup

It seems like ever since the update to 2.3.6, I've been having problems with Titanium Backup not being able to restore system apps. (the ones with the orange smiley face).
I've tried installing an older version of TB and still have the same problem. This has happened on stock/rooted and custom roms.
Has anybody else had this problem? If so, have you been able to find a fix for it?
I'm having this problem too. Just stays at the restoring box.
Hey guys I'm pretty new to rooting and with androids ...... My question is what main files can I back up for my contacts , sms , email and passwords without having to backup 200 plus files and apps ....... Do I still back up stock apps even if the Rom already has the app ? Thanks in advance for ant input !

For email and contacts I would just sync them with gmail. Same thing goes with settings and maybe even passwords(not sure about that one)
Don't back up any apps, just the data.

Open Titanium Back-up>Menu>preferences>scroll down to troubleshooting settings>App processing mode>Auto, indirect.
Then back out of the app until home screen and then go about how you would normally restore your apps.
Tried that before trying an older version of TB and it didn't work.

Android process acore has stopped

Hi there,
I have got a samsung galaxy nexus. 2days ago I have been asked to have the general system updated. Since the update I cannot use my phone."unfortunately the process android.process.acore. has stopped" keep apearing on my screen. I cannot write SMS, play games, make calls. Any idea what I should be doing in order to fix this annoying issue?
Thanks a lot for your help
Joelle
Is your phone stock or rooted?

If you're phone is rooted then you will need to wipe and re flash, if it's not rooted you could try a factory reset and see if that fixes it. I had this happen before when I accidentally restored system data with titanium backup.

It worked thanks a lot
Thanks a lot eqjunkie. I have just tried the factory reset and i am back on track!thanks a lot for your help and prompt response

How to Recover Deleted Files on Samsung Galaxy?

Can I restore photos deleted from my Samsung Galaxy S4?
I accidently deleted the full contents of the "Camera" folder on my Samsung Galaxy S4. All the photos and video that I had taken in the last 2 months were lost. I know I should back them up. Is there any way I can restore them?
Unfortunately, they are gone for good. There is no recycle bin in Android.

When a "delete" is performed, only the space that the file occupies is marked as blank and can be reused by new files, but the deleted file will be still there until new data overwrites it. Hence, if you haven't shot any new photos or video clips, you still can recover deleted photos with the help of Samsung Galaxy recovery software.

It is hard to say you can recover them or not. You had better to try to scan your phone to preview the photos. If your computer can detect your phone as a external disk, you can try some data recovery software. Hope this help.
There are some apps in the playstore that say they recover erased pictures

i recently deleted some really important files how can i recover them from the root directory not sd or ex sd
has anyone actually been able to do it?
Hi, I have the same issue. Deleted a few pics and videos on my Samsung Galaxy S4 by mistake and now I cant find a way to recover them. I have tried all standard softwares like Dr Fone for Android and all. But then I hit the MTP wall
Have been researching on this for quite a while but havent found any worthwhile solutions
Is there anyone who has actually successfully recovered data on S4? There are a few apps out there which require rooted device but I am not sure if I want to do that
Someone, please to help...
Disk Digger worked for me. It's free in the play store.

Did you root your phone yourself for Disk Digger to work properly? Its description reads that it doesnt work on unrooted phones

Error - Unfortunately, S Note has stopped working

using a non-rooted factory default Galaxy Note 2.
I booted it today, then the msg appeared.
i've tried uninstalling the app that i have recently installed thinking that there is conflict.
but still not helping.
anyway to solve this error?
Try clearing data and cache..It should fix

hope what @mannyvinny said helps, I've had this problem once and tried everything (my device was rooted, and restores with TB didn't solve it)
the final solution was a factory reset, then restoring apps from titanium one by one (except for S-note) and then it worked
also, I removed all my notes from the Snotes folder on the sdcard, started snote once, then put the files back in and started it again
(it's 5am here, so if I don't make any sense, I blame life)
As @tmils said he is using factory non-rooted stock, clearing data and cache from app manager is the only way..but if It was rooted, then it would've been fixed using few clicks(using titanium backup)
Titanium Backup is boon for rooted users!

I had the same issue, reloaded firmware, clear data and cache with no fix. I thought about to do a factory reset, but just b4 I was going to do it. I suddenly have an idea just flashed in my mind. This is what I did.... go to setting > my device > S pen > put a check mark on the "Open Popup Note when the pen is detached". Then back to the home screen, pull out the S pen and a mini S note will open. Close it and now you should be able to open the regular S Note. It works on my Note 2. Good luck guys.
It helps but not for long. After a little while problem coming back. For me problem started right after I upgraded to 4.3.
I don't feel like removing everything and cleaning cache as I have notes I don't want to delete. Is samsung planning to release fix for this I'm wondering.
fixed

Thx!!! That seems to have fixed it for me. Now if they would put back the ability to take pictures from video, I'd be set...

S note (rapid memo) problem

Good morning guys,
in the last month i've a problem with s note.
My phone is sm-n7505 italian and it's rooted with stock rom 5.1.1 official and xposed framework.
All works ok but in the last month i've issue with s note,
when i try to create a new rapid memo and try to minimize icon, it disappears and i'm not able to modify my note or save it.
If i restart phone on first launch app works when i open or create new memo but if i try again to minimize icon disappear.
I've tried to clean cache and data from all s app (memo, s note etc.) and doesn't solve it. So i tried also to clean phone dalvik and cache but problem is still here.
Can someone helping me?
i would like to avoid to reset phone because i've no time at the moment
Hi,
I'm sorry for asking you this, but since you succeed to install the proper xposed framework on your neo3 5.1.1, I wish I can do the same but I can't find the right version.
I had a version that's tells me my cpu was not compatible and there's not a version yet for this phone.
Than I got another one but still... can't install it coz buttons are grey.
2 days on the matter and still stuck until I find your post.
Can you guide me to the right door PLS
Thx a lot
