Yes. Put in the 64GB SD card, go to settings (storage), unmount, format SD. Your microSD should now be partitioned the right way to use it.

I tried it but it won't read as it is a 64 GB card for some reason or its not reading it at all , I don't know if I had to go back to ICS ROMs or what

You have to format it in FAT32 with your PC.
If you Google it, you will find a little program that will do that.
I know there is a thread on XDA about this, but I'm at work and don't
have time to search for it.
EDIT: I did the searching for you:

Do you have a Blackberry around? That happened to my microSD when NOTHING at all would read it. I just stuck the card into a Blackberry to see if the card was broken. On the screen, there was a pop-up that said that I had a new memory card inserted and it asked if I wanted to format it. I hit yes, and all of a sudden, my microSD card started working again.
Can I ask where you got your 64gig card from and how much it cost? I would really like to get one. Thanks

Help needed!!! Sd card error.

My phone was charging this morning. And then out of the sudden, I look at it and have this notification.(see pics below). I click on it and a box comes up asking me to reformat my card. I have too many pics on that card that I would hate to lose. By the way is a SanDisk Ultra class 10 32GB. Any thoughts or possible fix?

I can't see any technical limitations on the Micro SD size.

However, until you try it (or someone else) it's just an assumption (both ways - yes or not).

I actually think there is a way to partition it using a tool in windows or Linux that splits it into two 64gb "sd" cards. So it's one card but in the phone it comes up as two. I think.. I'm not sure if this still works.. I remember seeing this "trick" in the s2 forums years ago when I had that.

This works on the note2, I don't see why a similar setup wouldn't work for the s4.

It will work but after partitioning it. Get the card and post back if you need help on how to proceed.

Hard brick

Anyone try the debrick image at the bottom of the first post on this Sprint forum? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2345860
I have had a t-mobile s3 just sitting around that I hard bricked.
Was going to give it a try when I catch up to my wife who has a 16GB card I can backup and use.
I have known of the sd fix for Sprint for a long time, but they seem to have quite a few different images on that thread

There's an image for the t999 version of the S3 in the android development section of this phones forms. You would be much better off using that.
Awesome deal. I look forward to it. Thank you kindly for your reply!

Pointless response UrbanLagoon... thanks for incressing your post count tho... I beleive with 4.3 as long as you format it properly should work fine, I have used usb otg cable as usb external on a 160gb esata hard drive and a 128gb usb flash drive so I see no reason why it wouldn't. I hope that helps.

May be but i use currently 32gb Sandisk Micro Sd Card.
I have a 128gb microsd in my Note II, only issue is a long time to prepare the sd at boot before it is accessible.

Works
I have the 128gb card for more than a month. Formatted it extFat (on a PC) and have had not issues with it.
I do not see any additional time booting,
