I have found an app that I think can be deconstructed and converted to making Spen detach disable all touch input.
This for me would be the cats meow for having either or function.
Right now it is proof of concept but here are the basic functions needed to make it work.
1) Enable show touches in Developer options.
2) Spen detection off when attached.
Now for the hooking and redirection of nul touches.
I am caught on what hook I should perform to serve simple and effective way to keep touches from being active during Spen detach.
I assume it is easier to hook the Spen detach to enable a forcing of a false touch state on nul touch sensing. I would redirect the touch location to the upper right corner. Thus any touches would not be read as movement unless some sort of gesture mechanism is used, and set to pick up upper right corner touch.
I think the Spen detach can be hooked, but as for redirecting touches, I haven't got a clue.
Any thoughts or help in such a odd idea???
Thanks in advance!!!
OK, I also found that instead of redirecting touch input, I can set Spen hover active and disable touches all together. This only works with Debug settings set.
Now to write the Java scripts to make Spen only when detached.
Thanks!

I am using the standard tf3d. I am having serious problems in order to navigate through any of the lists such as the contacts list or calls list. First the scroll bar is far too small in order to select it easy with a finger. I also hate that it right starts calling a person in case I first hit a contact in order to scroll through the list. Sometimes I need to press more then once in order to have the item selected.
How can I change the config such that I get rid of this annoying problems?
Don't mess with the scroll bar. Just slide your finger across the list. If your problem is that sometimes it selects an item instead of scrolling, then just keep practicing and it will happen less. Try moving your finger up and down to move the list around.
Why can't I configure it such (like Iphone) that I can select an item an whipe my finger without that it directly calls the contact? I want it to perform a call to the contact just after selecting the item for a longer while. Is there a GUI available for the TP2 which performs like the Iphone GUI?
try to remove useless items such as weather, stock and other ****s.
i have only 4 items in my touchflo3d,dont need to scroll, just click one of them.
do you really need all items in touchflo3d??????
The problem is not the tf3d.. it sounds to me like you just arent used the resistive screen.. the screens on these phones require a slight amount of pressure to work properly, as opposed to the iphone screen which is a capacitive screen which works off the electricity from you body therefore you barely have to touch the screen.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Touchscreen .. so if you are used to a capacitive screen, getting used to a resistive screen will take some time.. every time i let someone who has ( or has used) an iphone, use my phone they have the same problem.. and it makes my phone looks like crap until i explain to them how it works... resistive screens are more precise when it comes to pinpointing on a screen but capacitive is way more fluid and finger friendly.. I could be wrong in your case but the problem you are having happens all the time when people use my phone..
In the review below (at the 10:01 mark) he starts using the AirView feature by hovering the S-Pen over the screen.
By doing this he is able to view menu options on a website that are normally hidden to smartphones.
My question is:
Can you do this with a bluetooth mouse?
Can you simply hover the mouse cursor (without clicking) over a spot on a website to bring up hidden menu options like he does with the S-Pen?
Thank you very much for your insight. If this works I think I might just get the Note II + a monitor and bluetooth keyboard / mouse as my desktop replacement.
I can confirm that it works. I plugged in a keyboard/mouse combo and it pretty much has all functions. But, I think.that you can bring up those menu items buy touching the area and moving the screen on all phones, it will act like you just hovered over the area.
Is there any place (or a best place?) to submit feature requests for Wear? I can post here but I do not know if anyone from Google will get the message. OTOH, I've seen some mentions of feature requests here and other members posted apps or tips and tricks to meet the need. The features I'm thinking of are:
- double tap on the screen or the button to bring up the most recent app. (Someone else mentioned this and I really like it.) I use my watch when running so to bring up my running app I need to (1) opening the screen, (2) expanding the notification, (3) swipe to the side to get the "open app" screen and (4) tap on the "open screen button." This is a real PITA while running and is further exacerbated by profuse perspiration confusing the watch WRT my touch. It would be nice if the app could cooperate and return to the last active screen as well. An alternative to this would to tie a particular app to the double tap via configuration entry.
- Ability to turn the screen off during charging. The 'tips and tricks' answer to this is just too involved when I'm ready to slip into bed! Maybe if I could program or script the actions... There are times when the screen turns off when I place the watch in charger and that would be fine as a configuration option. Other times it seemed like I can do that by palming the screen or tapping the button (but this doesn't normally work.) That would be useful too.
- Single button press to activate the button on a screen. Back to my use case for running... It can be difficult to get the pause/stop button to register due to perspiration. This one is a little problematic because it conflicts with the existing function to turn the screen off with a button tap. However palming the screen with sweaty hands seems to be easily recognized vs. scrolling or tapping a button.
I'd like to have an option to have the mic on the watch turn on when accepting a call from the watch. There are times when my phone is upstairs and I get an incoming call on my watch. It would be nice to be able to answer the call and give the person on the other line a heads up that you need a second or two to get your phone. Once the call is accepted on the watch, there could be a button that transfers the live mic to the phone.
There is a wonderful (samsung) app in quick settings called Side Key Panel that I have only seen on the Note 4. I realize there is something similar in (android) setting menu, but it is not hideable. This app sits oN the side of the screen and needs to be swiped to be visible. I would really like to have this .APK because I use GMD SPen Control, and have it set to disable all touch except spen when I pull it out. The only problem is that when in that mode it also disables the hardware keys (except the home button), and I can't use them unless I put the pen away. While the floating menu app works, it is always on the screen and frequently gets in the way. This is just a much better solution IMO.
Longtime owner, user, tweaker. I have an ongoing beef with some odd pen functions, but I am using a Wacom Feel Stylus designed for this pad. When I am randomly surfing and click on a link to open it, I get an onscreen search bar that refuses to respond to almost anthing I try to do with it. And, in my own world of necessities, the pen is my only type of input. I have limited fine motor control with my fingers and most screens do not interact well with them. Hence, the pen and the reason why I will keep this tab alive for as long as I can.
Does anybody know some hidden pen settings that will turn off this anoyingly random search bar? I guess I need a fresh pair of eyes, too. ;-Deano
btw- I do have the aftermarket(paid) pen command app but see nothing relevant in it for this minor PITA
