I have just switched to the Three network in the UK and am asking if anyone could upload the modem only from the latest ROM for me to flash...

Hi, I have a Galaxy Gio GT-S5660V from Optus Australia. currently running the S5660MUGKG3 baseband. I occasionally have issues with bluetooth refusing to turn on, wifi not turning on and then rebooting my phone, etc. I've downloaded the latest firmware from sammobile "S5660VXXKQK_S5660VOPPKQ2_OPP". Should I flash this baseband to my Gio? I'm running GalaxyICS CM9 RC1 from Maclaw. Any other Aussie Gio users? Which baseband do you recommend? Thanks in advance.
Im not sure what baseband does but i know its according to region and the one you have right now is the one that came preinstalled on my gio, the Canadian one, so it might cause trouble for Australia idk

Yes, I installed the Canadian Bell ROM and baseband in order to unlock my phone. Baseband sits under the ROM and controls the hardware interface. There are a few basebands out there for S5660, S5660M and S5660V, but I can't find any information on which is the latest, changes, or which is better for stock/CM ROMs, etc.
Use the latest wich is specific for your V model, otherwise you will get problems..

Hi everyone,
Sorry if this is a noob question. I have an AT&T sgh-i317 and have flashed it to N7105XXDMF2 Ultimate already. I was wondering if I can use the modem from the stock N7105XXDMC3 firmware. Or how can I get the other LTE bands on my unit? The bands I need are bands 3 and 5.
Thanks in advance!
no you need to stay on the att modem or you will brick your phone!

Hi every one
I have some problem with my network operator(GSM operator) and need some different modem software for note p601 for test to find the best compatible modem with my network operator.
Modem***.tar or modem***.bin with flash by odin or modem***.zip with install by recovery
I would be thankful

Hi people, just a quick question.
If I download firmware that is NOT yet been released on my carrier, am I able to flash it via PC (ODIN) without having to root etc...?
Im trying to avoid rooting if possible. Unfortunately every carrier in the UK apart from 3UK has pushed the 4.3 update for Note 2 LTE (N7105)
Im slightly impatient and thought maybe I could just download another carrier (eg. Vodafone) and flash it without and implications.
Any answers would be much help. Sorry of this is the wrong section.
Peace. Match

Hello,
Recently my friend gave me a T-mobile S4 which I successfully unlock using this ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2283068 )method. I aslo was able to install Chaos (universal) ROM and seems to be working fine, but I have a few questions.
Can I install an ATT ROM/Radio or I need to stick to universal ROMs?
Can I lose unlock status if I upgrade the radio?
TIA!
Anyone?

I've never tried ATT ROMs and haven't seen much mention of them in this forum, but I know i9505 ROMs usually work if the developer hasn't put specific device checks in the updater-script. I would guess ATT ROMs will work as well. You may need to flash a T-Mobile kernel though. Radios that are not specific to your device should not be flashed.

Why would you want an ATT Rom or radio? The Tmobile radio package supports more frequencies than the AT&T version. I am currently using my M919 on an AT&T mvno and my girlfriend has the I337 (AT&T S4) so Ive switched sims around on both and could find no significant difference.
