Any development for this device. Can't find a custom recovery or any roms. If someone could point me in the right direction. I'd appreciate it.

What I would like to see is a pure stock 4.4.2 flashable ROM. Then I could install the Xposed framework and modules such as Gravity Box. The modules provide the sweetest of the custom ROM features while keeping stock's stability. Right now that is what I run on both my N5&10. I also use the Franco kernel on both but that is specifically for extended battery life. The kernel is nice but I could live with out it.

I completely agree. I got my tab pro 10.1 yesterday. Rooted it of course and was disappointed there literally is no rom development. I saw that there is cm11 on the 8.4 version and twrp. That would be awesome. Any developers out there that want to give this a shot. That would be awesome.
We have cm11 and both recoveries but the Rom is still in testing stages. I read somewhere that Samsung hasn't released the kernel and something with the KK rom. Maybe then they could port it to your 10. I agree that there isn't much developing going on for our tab pro. The guy doing the cm11 is trying to make it an official cm device. Maybe the 10 &12 will follow.

Hi!!
I just wanted to ask if I have to be first root on my note II in order to install CyanogenMod, that's right?
can I install CyanogenMod rom on my note II without being root?
Cheers.
J.
Yes you need root and a custom recovery

Check out www.galaxynote2root.com for all the info you need on rooting, flashing and recovery programs I have heard this rom can be a little unstable but have not yet tried it. I use WanamLite rom and love it, very close to stock with more benefits and very stable

Read the CM10.1 nightly thread, it has instructions.
Hi,
Just wanted to ask if cyanogenmod is stable enough for my Note II. I am looking for a stable rom... the closest one to the stock because I would not like to get a stone as phone...
Is WanamLite working properly?
Regards and thanks!
I tested both roms for same time, both very stable. However my opnion is that if you want a rom very similar to stock what is the fun? Nothing new to play around.
I'm using now Moon v8, a lot of features, good battery and no issue so far.

Well, sure - I'll have fun installing a rom and all that stuff but I had an iphone and I got tired saving everything before jailbreaking and then install everything.. when a new version was released the cycle again... so I'd like to have a phone with cyanogenmod o whatever mod rom but I don't want to change rom every time... at least I don't want to save my pictures and do a list of apps to download after installing a new rom because last one was unstable.... you know what I mean? I hate Samsung stock.. but works fine.. I think...
Thanks.

Thanks alot for deciding to make roms!! As of now we have alot of AOSP based roms. It would be good if you could make a sense rom or a modified stock rom with complete note 3 look looking forward of ur development:good:
My suggestion
I personally would like a base Samsung 4.2.2 (Touchwiz, Native Trebuchet (by modded framework), or Google Launcher) ROM. No bloatware, just the basics: My FIles, and even get the Apolo Music app there.
- Why? AOSP and AOKP ROM don't have the DUOS system availability, which kinda defeats why we bought the DUOS models. Personally I delete all the Samsung and Carrier bloatware, there is just too much junk in there, and if someone wants something, they can re-install them later. Touchwiz, I dont particularly like too much, but after testing the Note 3 ported and modded Touchwiz by @android.zealot.fervor, i'm a go again.
This is all beneficial if we want a fast phone, which also, doesnt have the biggest internal system and storage memory as well.
My 0.02
Welcome, and thanks,
Paul

Well a lot of users give up thr other slim slot just too use the awesome roms build by dedicated developers like xenon92 and k2wl,,im one among them recently @tamasek a very recognized developer developed cyanogenmod 11 for s3 pure KITKAT experience for them,,we already have 10.2(not completely stable),,according to me you should either help k2wl and xenon92,kingbabasula to make it stable and also if possible dual sim support then i would also lve to request you to develop cyanogenmod 11 as tamasek did for s3,,,omni is also a good choice:thumbup:

I'm looking to buy a 2014 10.1 and something caught my attention and was curious about it. I have a s4 running 4.3 android and thanks to Knox I cant put a custom recovery on it and have to use safestrap to use a custom rom essential wasting much space. Is that a issue with the tablet as well. Or is twrp/clockwork able to be used?

Flashing a custom recovery will trigger knox. And I havent heard of any safestrap solution for Note 10.1 2014.

Of course you can flash a custom recovery and custom roms, but it cant be done without triggering knox. Flashing the rom itself is harmless, its the flashing of a custom recovery that triggers knox. So if you can live with that just go a head and flash, if not.... then dont.
Good luck
Ok thanks for the clarification the knox part is still kind of new to me. Tw is a little heavy just wanted to make sure I had the option to run an aosp rom down the line.

no problem, just glad to help. You can flash an AOSP rom, as soon as we get one.
Hello, I just need a few suggestions because i'm looking to make my s4 mini i9195 run faster and smoother with a amazing battery life but also easily customizable, What i want is for you to give me your 2 best combinations of rom & kernel that both are compatible with each other and give me a little reason why you chose it, yes i'll admit this is for my benefit because i am looking to change it around. My device is a S4 Mini i9195 LTE running android version 4.4.4
Thanks
I prefer you to use 'enhanced kernel' and cm rom to make your s4 mobile experience a great one

I use cm11 m9 and f4ktion kernel it's quiet decent really
For me , i use Stock KK (philz + rooted ) and BrisK V2 kernel !
it's stable ,and very very very good battery life ! :good:
And for a custom rom ,i love C -Rom V 7.1 ( final version stable of KK 4.4.4 and good baterry life ) ,the kernel is original CM11 ,it's very good ! :good:
but we can flash F4K kernel AOSP ( and older version ! not the last ... ) and i don't know wher we can find it ...
At the first time i used CM10.2.1.3 ! it's a very good rom too !
for your kind information, none of the custom Roms are free of bugs....bt the best one and 90% the stable one is cm 11 rom with enhanced kernel !
cm 11 nightly (android seranotexxkitkat)rom

try it ! .......and after ,say me "WOOOW !!!!! I love !!! " ===> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2747880
I really enjoyed C-Rom but for some reason it has a system.ui force close whenever I first boot up and then maybe at one other random point throughout the day. Definitely able to deal with it though. I'm currently giving LiquidSmooth a go and it's great, although I'm really missing the side app bar, not so keen on the circle app bar.
Use both with f4ktion kernel, never looked back.
i now switched to pac man rom it's really awesome about the rom that it includes super many functions!
Carbon Rom with F4ktion kernel (It has f4k by default). I used to have C-rom, it has a lot of features but it wasn't compatible with last version of f4ktion so I found battery drain on it.

Hey, so Im building a rom, but I took my code from my tablet and it is running KitKat (4.4.2 I think) and I want to build a rom running Lollipop, is this possible? Thanks in advance
Cheers! - Ket
Yes you can normally port a ROM from another Samsung tablet that has lollipop. It won't be easy though. You will have to make a few modifications to get it to boot correctly.
I think if you look up Porting a ROM on XDA you will find the information you need to get started.

You can port the ROM first, then customize it. Or you can build a ROM straight from AOSP source.
