Just got CM installed on my Note II.
I cant seem to log in to Line with my old account no matter how I try.
It will just show ""System Error. An error has occurred. Please try again later"".
Anyone else seen this problem before?
I've seen this if restoring Line with Titanium Backup or other backup apps. You need to uninstall Line, and install it again from Play Store using your Line ID/email.
If it is a clean install (not from a backup), then I don't know - any other apps that require online installation failing?
I was running into the same issue, but there is a guide on how to solve it. Basically, need to contact LINE support.

I know the answer to this is in the forums somewhere, but it won't let me search, keeps giving me an error, and I'm not finding any working solutions with google.
I keep getting the "can't install app, not enough space" error in the market.
I tried clearing market data/cache; clearing google services framework data; and un-mounting SD cards. I saw that there was an app that fixes the problem, and found it very ironic!
Error started about a week or so ago, was hoping it would go away with an updated nightly.
Currently running
CM7 - 107
Chads beta - 11
Mkt vers. - 2.3.6
Thanks for your help!
Not sure if this will help- but this happened to me 2 days ago. I was trying to install a WiFi tether program, and it wouldn't install and gave me that error.
Apparently the problem was that the new program conflicted with a previous WiFi tether program I already had installed. Instead of saying 'bad permissions' or 'file writing error' it said there wasn't enough space.
So there's a possibility that it's a problem with permissions OR it's just trying to install a file to a location that is already in use.
I got it to work by simply uninstalling the other WiFi tether program. Of course if *all* app's won't install for you, I really wouldn't know the first place to look.
I don't have an easy fix, but good luck.
Thanks for the suggestion. I actually had a little success a few minutes ago installing the app over the air using my laptop. Not a fix, but a decent work-around I guess

how much user space do you have left of the 740 meg
One way around this problem is to initiate the install from web version of the market. Even if you are just updating an app you already downloaded find it on the market website and click install. For whatever reason, it won't give you the error.

I've read somewhere that there's a partition of space (150meg) for data files, and if it's full then it'll give that error for new installs.
They really need to get more specific errors because it seems like this 1 error can apply for several very different reasons.
I got an easy fix for this !!!!!!!
Simply go to the market, search cache fixer. !! That work! The market fixer dont work at my mobile, but Cache fixer did ! Så now i can download all sizes of games and apps
Hi all,
I am not sure if this is the right place or not but worth a shot. I am swapping between quite a few roms at the moment and each time I do, I need to reinstall lots of applications from the market.
Now I know how to install an APK using ADB over USB when I have the package file but what I am ideally after is slightly different that that as I do not have the APK available.
What I would like is a way to install an application via command line from the market. That command line can be directly on the phone using a terminal or via ADB shell.
Is it possible at all to install an application from the market via a terminal?
Thanks in advance.

http://developer.android.com/reference/android/content/Intent.html
Also read about am command. You will have to open up the Vending.apk, see the intent and action required, pass the app name. I can't be more specific.
This is an example
Code:
#!/system/bin/sh
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/system/lib
am start -a android.intent.action.SEND -d "Hello World" -t "text/plain"
Hi,
I don't know if what you're after is possible, but you can:
1) leave it to google - with the newer versions of market when you first configure your google account the market starts installing the apps registered under that account
2) use a backup/restore app as mybackup Pro or titanium backup, which allow you to backup or restore all the apps with a single click

The reason I am looking for an alternative to googles backup within android is that when I am rolling from one ROM to another, this restore does not always work. A price exmaple is Sandvolds ICS ROM. Each time there is a new releast, the restore fails to restore - hence looking for an alternative.
I have previously used Titanium backup but not with this use case. Maybe I will give it a try and see how it works in this sense...
As an alternative, I think I could script something with "android.intent.action." It probably requrires some interaction still but it would get to a more automated install situation than I have now.
Thanks for the input guys, I will see what milage I can get from this.
Hi all,
A brief history of my device: Hardware failed so I create a backup image, send the busted phone for warranty, and restore the image on my new hardware. I think some permissions weren't quite set right when I restored from the image, I noticed problems like:
1) My camera complained I had no storage space (it didn't have permission to write to the sd card). If I remember correctly, I had to manually fix some permissions to fix this.
2) (The current problem I am writing about): In the Google Maps application, when I tried to save a region for offline use, it said something like 'Storage Error' in red (I don't remember exactly what the message was because I updated the app, see below).
In an attempt to fix this, I updated the Maps application to the newest version. The new version has a different 'offline maps' implementation. This new implementation claims to be downloading/caching the map, but if I exit the app and re-open it, the map is not actually stored anywhere.
Question: Does anyone know how to fix this?
At the very least...can anyone tell me where google maps stores its offline maps so I can try to manually fix permissions?
Thanks!
-Julian
Shameless bump because I'm out of the country and offline maps would be nice!
Any help appreciated!
Generally apps store their data in 1 or 2 of the following places:
/sys/data
/data/data
/sdcard/Android
If you're rooted with a custom recovery, the recovery app should have a fix permissions. I know twrp and cwm do.

Hi guys,
I did remove some apps that seemed useless to me yesterday, but since then I have problems which I guess are related :
- I can't install any apps : playstore says error 110, downloaded apks fail to install the apps
- when I go into settings/storage, it just goes calculating for ever... same in the app manager, every app just has 000 under it.
I do not know if these problems are related, and the second might have been there for longer.
I dont have any recent backup so I would be very grateful if anyone could help fixing this situation.
Thanks for reading
Please guys ?
Dear All,
This is my desperate attempt after days of googled with a dead end.
Recently, out of nothing i have encountered a major error after years. It all of sudden. Bombarded with "google play service is stopped" then decide to reboot then never up again with "acore stopped working'' on the very first screen after samsung logo where you have unlock the screen.
I did wipe data/factory reset. All good. reinstalled all essentials. SuperSU and Rootchecker report im still rooted. Then noticed LINE app (by Naver) has a bizarre behavior. All image related operations is not working with message "Cant use SD card, please confirm SD card settings"
All other chat messengers all working flawlessly (BBM, Whatsapp, you name it) but this one. To be detailed, affected operations are downloading stickers, themes, chat image attachments, chat photos wont came out, trigger camera, attach/send photo..
Submit a ticket to Naver but returned with they have no support for rooted device.
Device detail:
N7100 4.4.2 (rooted)
SuperSU / Knox disabled
modified platform.xml (extsdcard write access)
Failed Attempts:
- format ext SD card from inside, issue still exist
- install / reinstall LINE app, issue still exist
any kind of idea/helps would greatly appreciated as most of my contacts and communication are mainly using this app. I hope you guys have knowledge to be shared for pinpoint the issue based on the error message above. I believe the solution can be a great value as there are currently none in the net.
Thanks
try to apply kitkat sdcard fix
click
I have the Xperia Z3 running on Lollipop.
Same issue, all apps such as whatsapp, fb, etc can access the SD card except for line.
The error message when trying to send a photo to someone in Line is "Can't use SD card. Please confirm SD card settings"
Reinstalled the app several times, unmounted and remounted the SD card, even moved the app to the SD card with the app itself still working fine. But still cannot send or receive photos or download stickers.
Also applied the suggested that sd card fix even though it wasn't really needed since all other apps can access the SD card just fine..anways it didn't help.
Any other ideas?
Oh yeah, even tried installing a Line version which was 6 months old - didn't help either.

I have the exact same issue after a full wipe and re-flashed custom ROM. The naver LINE app have the same issue as mentioned above. All other apps functions normal. Anyone found a solution to this yet?

Hi. I've encountered a similar problem recently. The interesting thing is that my telephone does not have SD card at all. So my first thought was that the problem is in permissions or cache.
I checked the permissions - app had full access.
Then I cleared programm cache on my phone. both inner memory cache and telephone memory cache (at least that's what they are called in my native language)
After that I tried to upload the image, yet it gave another error. something like: "cannot perform the action now, try again later"
I was quite short on the inner memory on my phone (around 70 MBs free), and thought it can be the problem. I deleted the biggest app and was able to upload the screenshots again.
Probably worth mentioning: I did not reinstall the Line app.
My device:
Telephone called ImSmart C471. China at it's best. Assembled in Ukraine though, company called Impression.
Android 4.4.2
In the latest build, Line apk cant send photo from internal/sdcard..it said line cant use sdcard..?
i had the same problem when i moved to new phone ( Xiaomi Mi4 ). I solved that. Just find the application permission setting in application manager. Try to find permission to stroarge. Change the permission to allow. That's it. That worked for me.
where's the settings?

I can't find any setting for permission to storage from the application manager, is there any? did I overlooked?
Try updating the app in play store. I had the same issue but solved with the updated version.
I had the smale problem. I deleted some pictures and videos and then restarted the phone. Works like magic
