Yes, theme manager is cool
Where's the built in WiFi tether? I've looked throughout the settings menu but I only see USB tether. Otherwise very nice rom with some cool and unique options unlike other KK ROMS. Thanks Slesh

Settings, ROM control, toggles, add toggle
Thanks for the tip on the hotspot toggle guys. So how can I manually go into wifi hotspot settings in order to set it up with security type and password? I have already went back to my faithful Slim ROM for the time being.
After setting up this ROM I immediately noticed it's a very nice ROM with unique settings/options not found in other ROMS. The other thing I noticed right away is that there's no option to add and change the date format in the status bar and no wifi hotspot setting in the menu. These are just minor things but I just wanted to point it out. Otherwise I find this ROM to be great. It even has the very cool option to change the lockscreen swipe-to-unlock icon and that's a very unique option. People should definitely give this ROM a flash!

Date and time etc for status bar is right in ROM Control
I'm seeing day of week but not the actual date with month and year. It's no biggie, was just noticing that it wasn't there. But has anybody found a way to get to the hotspot settings? I actually use hotspot often. Thanks again.

I appreciate that. Thank you.
No problem gonna back up and flash now should be back in 30min or so with a reply
Edit:
So after going in I've found the rom is smooth no real crashes even tested a Franco kernel
I'm sure as you update you'll probably add more customization but one thing I'll point out is that your quick settings control should be integrated with the settings not as a side app because that confused me trying to find it

Vanilla - stock 4.1.2 AOSP, which Maguro has anyway unlike Verizon where my phone lives
French Vanilla - this is it, the ROM I posted here... it has Kevdiu's Quick Toggles MOD, Enhanced Power Menu, Expanded Desktop, Recent Apps menu clear all, etc
Chocolate Milk = CM = CyanogenMOD - something I was toying around with to replace the Modded ROM because there were so many requests for features I thought a CM based ROM might make more sense. I don't think I'm going to continue it but if I do another version has to go.
I think I like the lighter modded ROM. I can't do 3 different versions of a ROM x 6 devices. As it is it feels like all I do is mess with Android.

just flashed, im going to test and report asap... thank you
edit :well, rom is super fast, using trinity kernel, its just awsome , im going to use it for a long time, thanks for the rom.
I was looking for a ROM exactly like this one - mostly stock with the Quick Settings mod. I've flashed it and it's running beautifully; no problems so far (granted, it's only been about 30 minutes). I'm planning to try flashing some other kernels with it just for fun.
EDIT: tried Franco kernel and lean kernel. Both smooth, but I can't really see a difference from the stock kernel. (Lean is overclocked so obviously faster.)
hey muzzy ! nice to see your rom developing here ! i saw your rom over at toro , was rather hoping you started here ! Dling now and hope to see more development in this if you dont mind , i can be your tester for maguro .
This is perfect! My maguro is right now in service but after it comes back I'll flash it!
Actually I wanted to make just the same ROM - everything stock but with few additions and you made it just as I wanted.
If you'd like to have some help with developing this ROM - PM me, I'd love to help!
This rom seems awesome! Omg this is exactly what my maguro wants Will flash when I come home! Holy **** this will be good

On my phone I haven't bothered flashing kernels in a while. I think that's mainly because I spend so much time compiling ROMs I don't actually get to use them.

XenonHD is a custom firmware aka ROM for various Android devices. It is built from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) with additional features, performance and battery life improvements.
The idea behind XenonHD is to give users a ROM that is "blazing fast, rock stable and buttery smooth".
Features
system tweaks
prop modder
animations
nav bar
ribbons
active display
halo
rom settings
onager launcher
android 4.3.1
based on a multitude of custom rom sources combining the very best of each to give the user an out right custom experience
much much more
please note you must either have taken the ota to jb or used the appropriate teeny bin or have successfully flashed the latest cm10.1 or one of the many aosp roms available for our phone...and as always make a backup of your current configuration before trying anything
VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU BACKUP YOUR EFS THROUGH FREEGEE AND/OR TWRP
Installation
Fresh/new install:
* download rom and gapps to the root of your sd card
* reboot to twrp
* factory reset
* use advanced tab and wipe :
data,system,cache,and dalvick cache (do not wipe internal storage)
* factory reset
* flash rom
* flash gapps
* reboot phone
Updating/dirty flash method: ONLY if already using my Xenon rom
Download ROM and gapps onto the root of your sdcard
* Reboot phone into recovery
* Use the advanced tab and wipe:
cache and dalvick cache
*Flash ROM
*Flash gapps
*Reboot phone
*(IMO) for optimal results after dirty flash and it reboots, go back to recovery and fix permissions (JMO)
Known Issues
these "fixes" are only necessary if you are experiencing problems
if experiencing data problems restore your efs that you backed up prior to flashing
if experiencing mms issues try this:
MMS confirmed working for a few in IRC.. send receive should work now if you're lucky and can follow directions.
1. Delete telephony.db located at /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db ...Open ES File Explorer > Press the menu button > Settings > Scroll to the bottom > Make sure "Root Explorer" is checked > Click "OK" > navigate to the directory starting from "/" (you could prob do this with the CM file explorer too)
2. Delete messaging Data...From home screen > Press menu button > Manage Apps > "All" tab > Find Messaging > Press "Clear data" button
3. Reboot. Clear cache if you want.
GPS issues:
go back to stock rom or a stock based rom ( a back up is sufficient )
Get a GPS lock and keep it for a few minutes ( make certain you are getting a lock from GPS and not your network or WiFi )
Flash back to XENON
That should solve any GPS problems
Battery drain issues:
if your experiencing major battery drain there are a few things you can try i will list a few here....
turn wifi, gps, bluetotth, and sync off when not using it
turn auto-brightness off and adjust it to your liking
lower sceen time-out to 15 or 30 seconds
try installing an app like greenify or batteryguru that will shut down apps that are running in the background
try changing your govenor from performance to powersave with an app like faux enhancement or trickstermod
try lowering your max freq. from 15+ to something a little lower
turn things like daydream off if you dont use it
try using wifi more often if able 3g/mobile data will suck the battery dry in no time
try looking in task manager to see if you have rouge apps hanging out.. if you do stop them
Try flashing smoocha kernel can find it in the android development section for this phone
these in no way are guaranteed to get you more life but they are a start to getting better life..hell it cant hurt only make it better
Camera focus issues:
Double tap instead of single tap
Switch to a different mode then back..(switch to HDR then back, switch to panorama then back)
Try the script method posted below
Try a third party camera app
Or try this: a quick hack work-around to anyone who has auto-focus working but only for the 1st app launch.
using smanager
* Install and launch smanager
* Make a new script with this in it
killall mm-qcamera-daemon
killall com.android.gallery3d
am force-stop os.tools.scriptmanager
am start -n com.android.gallery3d/com.android.camera.CameraLauncher
* Click on the script. Set it as "favorite" and highlight "SU". Save
* Add a shortcut on launcher. Select SMShortcuts.
* Select Add one script shortcut. Pick your script. Change the name/image to whatever you want.
* Hit OK and profit.
Need to thank sputnikk23 & prowlingfox for this workaround
or try with tasker method

To do this, In Tasker:
Create a new Task called "Load Camera".
Click the + sign.
Click on Script.
Click on Run Shell.
Paste the following into the Command section (note that the first line is missing - that's on purpose):
Code:
killall com.android.gallery3d
am force-stop os.tools.scriptmanager
am start -n com.android.gallery3d/com.android.camera.CameraLauncher
Check the box next to Use Root - not sure if this is needed or not, but it works fine if it's checked.
Click the Tasker icon in the top left of the screen to accept the changes for the shell command.
Click the Tasker icon in the top left of the screen again to accept the changes to the Task.
Click on the Profiles tab.
Click on the + sign.
I called my Profile "Load Camera"
Click on "Application".
Select Camera.
Click on the Tasker icon in the top left of the screen to accept the selection.
Click on the task that you created in the first steps to tie the profile to the task.
Enjoy....
Give it a shot and let me know if it doesn't work for you, but it works just great for me.

Sweetness. Thanks for all the awesome work! I used xenon before I switched to carbon for 4.3 goodness. Now I can have both xenon and 4.3!

Thanks Brah!!
I just had a data issue... Was on lte then I used Wi-Fi went outside Wi-Fi out if range I had no data wouldn't connect restored efs and am good again... But just thought I'd put it out there... It does have the new APN in it so maybe I'm thinking prl and pro needing to be updated, I'll try that later and see if it happens again

Halo works, if you are just trying to trigger it via the status bar that won't work, have to enable it in settings first and then toggle it. If still having issues download Halo))) from play store and pin a app or two and then it should toggle.
As for the Gapps, should use Banks 4.3

4.3.1 Stable [DanKang] Slim + optimizations (11/04/13)
I am not responsible for any bricks or issues you might encounter, This ROM is tested and stable and should only be flashed on T999 devices
As many of you may know Slimbean is one of the most popular ROMs out there and the team has released the last stable until Android 4.4, on top of that our device maintainer is MIA and busy with real life.
I noticed 2 issues in stable 2 that prompted me to take this masterpiece the slim team as created for us and fix them, I take no credit for this the bugged back animation (this made me dizzy) and returning to stock DPI causing the Google services framework to frequently disconnect that made it into stable build 2 are resolved in this ROM, I also ship the ROM with a stock minimal GAPPS package that will allow the apps to be properly updated in the market Everything else is butter I take no credit for this! all the credit goes to the slim team
For a full list of features, see this chart
-Stock S3 DPI
-Changed default notification sound and ringtone
-CM alarms, notifications and ringtones
-Organized settings (Much cleaner now IMO)
-APK's that aren't required have been removed
-Lockscreen unlock and lock handles are once again default AOSP
-Default AOSP walpaper on boot
-Stock Nexus boot animation
-Official Google Keyboard
-AOSP email included
-Inverted MMS by default - Look at the app settings before posting questions Mark read, etc is all there
-Added clock widget from CM 10.2 (System/app)
-Fixed glitched back animation
-Full GPU rendering (the way it should be)
-No ROM branding, you will not see the words Dan and Kang anywhere on the ROM
-Latest KT Kernel
-Mpdecision disabled (This is recommended for KT kernel)
Install Instructions
-Full wipe (Caches, system, etc.)
-Install ROM
-Flash GAPPS provided
-Reboot
-Enable root in developer settings
Q) Root doesn't work! (4.3 only)
A) From a clean build you need to enable root access for Superuser itself. This is different from 4.2.2 in which Superuser by default had root access on a new install. To do this, go toSettings -> Developer options -> Root access. If an app attempts to request root access before Superuser itself has access, it may cause problems with that app in the future where root requests are silently denied.
Instructions to enable root on Android 4.3
Open Settings>about
Tap on the build info 7 times to enable dev settings
open developer settings and enable root (select Apps + adb)
enjoy
Changelog

-Final build
10-30-2013
-Removed Dark UI, if you need this don't update
-Fixed MMS security limit

APN Settings?
After flashing I have no network connection. Checked APN and there are no entries, tried resetting to default. Also was unable to find a mobile network to connect to. I came from Dirty Unicorns ROM, performed a full wipe before installation. Also when I go to network selection I get the error, "Error while searching for networks."
Any ideas? Wiping and installing again just to be sure right now.

Good Morning fellow XDAers.
Here is a Pure AOSP KitKat build pulled from Google source found HERE
I will try to keep this updated with most recent source builds and minor tweaks. This makes for a good base for anyone to build from for a pure AOSP source. Just wanted to get it out there for people to use.
Instructions.
It is highly recommended that you flash using CWM recovery. TWRP may be updated but I haven't used it since KitKat released Again, if you brick your device, it's your fault not mine. This is a Beta so by clicking the download links you are taking full responsibility.
*Backup your current ROM
*Make sure you are using CWM recovery
*Do a complete system wipe
*Flash Rom
*Flash Gapps
*Flash Superuser pack
*Reboot and enjoy
Update 12/18
* enabled app ops - ability to specify which permissions you want to turn on/off for each app
* increased email attachments allowance to 20mb
* any file type transfer thru Bluetooth
* closed some memory leaks
* art tweaks
* animation cut in half for stock launcher
* up to date with Google merges via android-review.googlesource.com

* Added OTG Support
* Added merges from android source that wasn't in 4.4.2
* More location tweaks
* Added Override allowance in source
* Changed to toolchain 4.8
* Build.prop tweaks
* You can dirty flash over previous versions, just make sure to flash gapps, then SU to retain root.

Needs testing but youtube works through the browser fine. Please make sure you have a fresh wipe, then flash rom, gapps, su, reboot. Also, you may experience gapps fc if you enable ART. Since it is still ART is still experimental, I would hold off of that for now.
My keyboard doesnt pop up any longer using the new googlehome.apk. it took a little bit to settle down but if you have the issue either deal with the glitch or delete the apk from /system/app

Thanks to a good buddy for motivating me to even get back in to compiling and messing with source. It's been awhile. Could the retirement be over? not likely. But you never know. Once Google releases the updated props I will update the OP.

Cool...I don't think SlimKat or CM11 builds had the transparency enabled(may have changed since I last tried them) so this would be good way for people to check that out since the word is it won't be enabled on the Nexus 10 when Google releases.

edit.. it wasn't done. But it's being uploaded right now with it done. Also, swapped out to have the stock native wallpaper_default.jpg. Should be done in less then 10 minutes and will update the op after.

4.4 binaries have been posted by google. I should have a release sunday. Couple busy days ahead. Have the reboot to recovery working but once I added a system pull binaries it wouldnt boot. So need to dig in to see if we need a new kernel. Either way good days ahead.
edit: Ok, factory images have been released for us. But, there is also a new build tag for the manta. Will be release 4.4 r1.1. It contains a different kernel as suspected. SInce this is the case, I decided to just start fresh with a new sync.

Gotchya, I'll give it a shot once Mediafire starts working. It seems to be down for maintenance. If I may ask, how does the performance compare to 4.3? I ask because I'm hearing conflicting reports of being fast and the same for some.
EDIT: It won't work on TWRP?

I think with ART vs dalvik there seems to be a boost. It runs smooth as silk. Also, I have Google home installed and it settled down now where the keyboard stops popping up when you hit the home button.
Only think I see not working so far is the tap n pay in settings. Says services not installed.
Even the print seems good once you install an HP print app. Synced right up to my printer. Its work a full wipe then flash ROM, gapps, and then su. Make sure you back up. But I wanted a fresh install for KitKat anyway.
Edit... I don't think twrp updated the recovery yet for KitKat. Use a cwm 6.0.4 version and its golden
Sent from my Nexus 10 using XDA Premium HD app
I just installed this about 30 minutes ago and so far its running great. I am using ART instead of Dalvik and it runs really well and smooth. There was only a small sluggishness to it for me when I would go left to Google Now, but after using it for a little while it seems to have gotten better.
Youtube worked awesome and so has everything else, Gmail, Chrome, Google Plus, etc. The transparency looks amazing on this tablet, great job!! As of right now this rom's a keeper for me.
Edit* I also installed this with the newest CWM. I tried using TWRP yesterday on a few other 4.4 roms and it would fail each time.
