so I have a galaxy s4and I was having some trouble not working with some of the speech to text and a bunch of other things so I wanted to reflash to stock for I'm coming off cm11 so I got my stock firmware download from galaxyS4root and I try to flash it with Odin3 & try with 1.85 but both failed in my phone says to go into keys recovery but keys recovery does not see it I know I had to do something weird because the normal route process would not work with this phone I only had it for a month or two I thought it out of the recovery mode by flashing this CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505 but I really need to get into its stock firmware can anyone help

Try downloading Kies and connecting your phone to it. Then it might realize you have an update in Kies. My phone didn't think I had an update available.
If it is a BTU, then no luck, we don't have an update yet. I am using an XEF DMA6 and it works good.

What is mean BTU?

Btu is the country code if i understand correctly. There still is no UK release to date, this was one of my main reasons for dumping htc with the lack of love they gave unlocked international devices. Get your finger out Samsung.

You don't need root to flash a stock rom via Odin, i told you that it worked with me, and i have an unbranded note 2 with country code BTU (kies display the code when connected to your device) bought it from England.

Easiest way is to download csc changer. I have never used it myself I have always flashed my csc file if needed. Be warned the csc changer app will factory reset your phone

thank you for the quick response man. if i change my csc should my firmware still be on a legit one? thanks
I've changed my csc a few times on custom roms if that's what your asking. I'm fairly sure you can change the modem and or csc on any rom. If you are trying to get ota you might have to unroot. Easiest option would be to download the latest stock rom for your country from sammobile and flash with odin. That way you should get all the ota's

I'm hoping someone will help me. I'm trying to downgrade the android version on my T999 from 4.1.2 To 4.1.1 please help.

If you never did the 4.3 official update then you can just Odin to 4.1.1, or if you have custom recovery you can flash a 4.1.1 ROM as well.. Pretty sure there's threads on this subject

I have a question. Originally, my Note 2's model number was SGH-I317. I rooted it and installed CyanogenMod 11 for the t0lte version. It works fine, but it changed the model number of my phone to GT-N7105, the baseband is still I317ucune5. After playing with CM 11 for a while, I'm now ready to switch back to stock and I have the stock ROM for my phone. Is it safe to flash the stock ROM in Odin even though the model number was changed? Could someone please answer this?
Sent from my GT-N7105 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The model number is from a text file in the rom. Your phone was not altered. So yes you can flash the stock rom over that rom.
Thanks. I'm gonna attempt it now
