Auxiliary cable port - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

When inserting a auxiliary cable its really loose in there like really easy to pull out....anyone else's like this ?
Update: pushing plug to the right side cuts the audio out until I let it go any way to fix this? its the port itself

This is quite odd. Anybody else had this happen ?

My phone randomly goes into car mode and it lowers ny headphones volume dramatically . I deleted car home and switched roms and it still does it. I really need help because its killing my battery

The car mode thing sounds like a fudged usb port, as for the volume decreasing im not so sure....
It mainly happens when off the charger . I don't think it would be the usb. But who knows .

It's plug and play. Where did you get the HDMI adapter at? Ensure it is 11pin. Also, not being rude, make sure the TV is set to the correct HDMI port. :3

I got 11 pin I got it on eBay it comes with the HDMI cable built in. Every thing pops up. It says HDMI connected and the notification for sound if I want sterio or surround sound. But doesnt show on TV. And yes I'm on the right HDMI input Lol. On the package it says galaxy s 3.

If your version requires a micro USB power source, make sure that's connected. Also, make sure you push in the MHL connection into the SIII all the way. It feels like it wants to stop half way in.

No beacuse the tablet cant give the power needed, the usb interfacr cant either.
It needs external power.
By defualt it will work with USB sticks up to 32GB. Larger ones may cause problems.
My usb is 16gb, does anyone know any make/model usb that will work with the tablet?

Try to plug the usb stick first in the otg, and then connect the otg to the Note.
It happens sometimes to me to that I get the message not enough power. But when I disconnect and do the above it works.

If you have a pen drive it should work bec that is not an high powered device the problem happens when you connect an external harddisk without external power

usb hub

Hello there,
I've got myself an OTG cable, and if I connect a mouse, it works.
If I connect a keyboard it works.
And now I connect them both with a usb hub, doesn't work?
How can I solve this?
I've got already an OTG helper app.
Usb hub is a sitecom cn-060
Who knows the answer?

There must be someone
You need to connect keyboard and mouse to hub first, then connect hub to OTG cable ,then connect to Note.
or you can buy micro usb OTG hub there're 2 usb port and sdcard port, found on ebay
You must connect a usb hub with power supply. It doesn't work because insufficient power.
Sent from my GT-N7000
Yes I did that, but it doesn't work.
Do you have another solution?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Did you open the switch? Lol. You must plug otg cable first, then plug USB Y cable with otg cable and the USB hub. Then open the switch and plug mouse first. Is it working now?
Sent from my GT-N7000
Which switch? xd
The switch of plug for the power supply of the hub. Go Google image search usb hub with power supply. Then you may understand better.
Sent from my GT-N7000
Ah yes, but there is no switch at my hub
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Go get a new with power supply then.
Sent from my GT-N7000
There is a power supply at my usb hub, but no switch xD
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Lol? I meant, plug the power supply and switch the plug switch on. Understood?
Sent from my GT-N7000
OOoooooohhh xD, I am in the Netherlands so no need to do that xD
Oh ya? I'm from Malaysia. Different country have different culture. Haha.
Sent from my GT-N7000
So first I have to plug everything in the hub and then the power suply and than in the mobile?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Plug in OTG cable first. Then add power supply. Then try on mouse first because it consume less power compare to keyboard.
Sent from my GT-N7000
Okey thanks, will try that
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Doesn't work, still not..
I've downloaded usb host controller, and that says it's connected, and my mouse is lighted up but I can't control my mobile with the mouse.
Strange. Have your phone appear cursor?

Retrieve S3 files

My S3 is pretty much hooped screen wise, I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to plug the ribbon cable from my new S4 screen into the old S3 motherboard to retrieve some files without damaging anything. They look like the same connector but I wasn't confident.
Thanks
Sent from my SGH-I337M using xda app-developers app
How about plugging into a PC and transferring from your there to your S4?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Nothing happens if it's powered on and if it's powered off when I plug it in the phone just does a soft vibrate (like when it turns on) every 5 seconds and nothing else
can you use the hdmi?
Waiting for one to be shipped. Windows now sees it in device manager but it's got the yellow triangle beside it and says unable to install drivers
