I had a few people asking for icon packs. I resized the first half of the 200+ icons entitled iReflect to fit the panels for WM6.5 without stretching them. Download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?c3xmtmdjjawI'll be finishing the rest tomorrow night and posting the second pack in this thread. Additionally for all who have been wanting icons and backgrounds and are new to XDA check out the thread from dash users aimed specifically for icon pack request and background images http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415528
Hallo. It would be nice to give me some credits for creating all of this icons. This are the rules as i wrote in my first post. Thank you.

Alright well here is what you wrote, "If you use this for a ROM, Application or a theme here, just give me some credits, no need to ask. It is not allowed to post this icons anywere else or use them for commercial apps without my permission."
As you can see I neither made a ROM, App, nor a theme. And certainly didn't use it for commercial use. So I won't give you credit. I clearly mentioned the name that you branded your icon pack and everyone knows I didn't make them. I resized them. So live with it. I got no problem just taking the link down and not letting the fruits of your labor be seen by others. I was trying to help you out. So don't troll forums for your own stuff and see who violated your rules, just be happy your work is appreciated.

@jdshifflett - Thanks for resizing the icons! I have not been able to find a good tutorial on how to use different icons though. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Great looking icons
Hey there... I need help if you may, I want to know how to replace the icons on my phone with these?
I think this is the correct area to ask for this but what i need is a simple prototype we can base OAA off of this is a big project if you have not heard follow the link in my signature to the thread.
What we need is:
1. a basic go-by a basic format for how the first set of non google android apps will look
2. Color scheme
We can start with this and go from there if anyone has any *helpful* input post it remember this is a community project.
a simple jpeg/bmp/png/ect. will be good enough for now and we will have a poll to see the future of android on the visual side.
Wait - a prototype of what?
A theme? Logo?
What are we discussing?

Is there any way to have show/hide tags such as
Spoiler
text
, to have a block of text hidden until you click on it?

I'd like something like this for my guide so it doesn't show all sections at once. That way the person can choose to show only the section they're working on.
Does this exist on these forums?
If not, can the site admin consider adding it?
Also, is there a way to "hack" this in via the [ HTML ] tags?
Not at the moment. Something like this maybe in vB4 when we upgrade.
Spoiler tags seems a bit hacky, the admin's might consider if there is something a bit more user friendly or fit for purpose.
Collapsing information seems the wrong way to do it. I think a navigation (contents page) that allows quick thread navigation without opening in a new window / tab would be better.
Dave
Doh, that's too bad.
I'm not sure what you mean by a contents page? Splitting up one post into several, may make things a bit more hectic?

Like the contents page on Media Wiki pages : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agile_software_development
In my experience, so long as the posts are sequential and the OP has the ingenuity to disable their sig until the last post, it's not too bad.
Dave
Ah I see.
What if you only have the first post in a thread?
It's too late for me

Post less? (j/k)
I was thinking about linking inside a thread. HTML allows Anchor / Name tags to do this. A way of building a contents page could be handy.
So the contents could have:
Post 1
- Part 1
- Part 2
Post 2
-Part 3
etc. etc.
It might just be a dream though : http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=2031310
Dave
I also think that this would be a good idea. For example, a rom developer could hide the changelog, todo list, Q&A, etc leaving the first post much less cluttered and simpler to navigate, but still displaying the same ammount of information. I know how to use anchors and links with HTML, but I don't really know if most people know all the code, and it would be more complicated. For example, just a single link to an anchor named banana would be Link to banana. It would be much simpler to just use a
Spoiler
tag.

Yes, another excellent idea!
A collapsible tag could be useful in so many situations!
Here's another possible use: signatures. Almost everyone has a list of the phones they have, current rom, radio, spl, recovery, mods, themes, etc. We could literally change 5-10 lines of text to a single "show" button on every single post on every forum. I have no idea how much work it would take to implement this, but it would really be a kickass idea.
Hi everyone,
i know this is a pretty old topic, but i wanted to know if it is meanwhile possible to build a "spoiler"?
i wanted to post a logcat-log but its like 100+ strings long so it would be pretty nice to make this information collapsable to keep threads clear.
thanks in advance

You could use a
Code:
box.
Sorry for also resurrecting an old thread but I too would love a collapsible tag.
As with the OP, I think it would be a real boon to writing guides.
I have a multi-part guide I'm working on/maintaining for the Arc but for each part of it, I'd love to be able to have it split into independently-expandable sections, it would make it so much easier to divide it up clearly and to hide necessary but lesser-used information.
spoiler tag in the forum
any progress on a collapsible tag?
Spoiler
at the end of 2011 ...
if it would work, you would not see this msg, unless you click on it

It is already, especially in some dev threads where people post full logcats
Also, in one thread, I had posted a complete diff between two kernel versions, so implementation if this in the app would also be awesome(although you'll have to talk to tapatalk guys, hope they understand)

Hi everyone. I have been getting tips from this forum for quite some time now, so I thought it was best to join the forum. I am uncertain how to disable Re-Save for APK templates. Does this have to be done within Zooper Widget Pro or Eclipse? Thanks in advance!

That has to be done in Eclipse. Check the screenshot to Step 7 in this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2594973 There you can see the structure of the zooper.xml, which has a member called zooper_pack_allowsave. Setting this to 0 will block users from saving modified widgets from your pack.

No, the user will always be able to edit the widget. He just can't save the edited version as a template.

Great, thanks. I have one last question. Within the zooper.xml I add a description and author name, but on Zooper Widget Pro, my template appears with its icon but the name of the template is still called Sample Template Pack with the description still saying "Pack Description". I am obviously doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what though.

I am still getting this problem. In the strings.xml I change >Sample Template Pack< to >FUTURE_TECH Theme< and add a description, but in my templates list it is still appearing as Sample Template Pack and the description is still "Pack Description". The only thing that appears correctly is the ic_launcher icon.

Then your probably didn't edit the appropriate values in the zooper.xml (again, see Step 7 of the linked tutorial). If you edited strings.xml but it shows up in the list as "Sample Template Pack", make sure zooper_pack_name is set to @string/app_name, as shown in the screenshot of the tutorial.
Hi guys,
I thought to open this thread on the developers sections, but I couldn't...
anyway.... I want to develop an app to open whatsapp from the "edge feed" screen (like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/themes-apps/4-22-quicklaunch-feed-galaxy-s6-edge-t3090255), but I don't know where to begin... I made some apps, but I don't know how to make a feed app!! I searched on the web, but I didn't find anything! Maybe you know something or you can provide me a page where I can understand more.
Thanks

well maybe better suited for q & a section but def. not for developer section since you didnt actually develop anything yet lol
i am not too familiar with the edge stuff development but pretty sure edge stuff is integrated into the framework so you need to make the feed apk work with the edge framework
