Well, I know Tab 3 10.1 official firmwares (4.1/4.2) doesn't include MultiWindows feature !
While Tab 8.0 does support this feature !
So I am wondering if it's possible to port this feature even from Tab 8.0 or Note 10.1 to Tab 3 10.1.
I know, Tab 3 10.1 have a very different hardaware from Tab 3 8.0 or Note 10.1 (Exynos CPU vs Intel Atom SoC), but I still ask if it's possible to port
That will be great !
Need contribution and NOT...

I am talking about Tab 3 10.1 a.k.a P5210/P5220 not Tab 3 8.0 (SM-T310/T310)
Btw, you can justify your reply by posting a Screenshot :silly:

There was a discussion here about it.
The Sprint version of the 7.0 version has that feature while the other ones don't which I find weird...
I asked @THEDEVIOUS1 if he could rebase his work on using the Sprint version resources but I feel that the forum's mechanism didn't notify him about my mention.
I really hope he didn't abandon such project.
I will try to port from my Note 8.0 !

Hm, I could've sworn i saw it. The one at work had it, but thinking back it was the 7" one I used. Also the instruction manual says it has multiview. Unless it's a general instruction manual for all Galaxy tablets...
I saw this "Xposed Framework" for Galaxy Note phones that will let you download a multirom app. http://galaxy-note2.wonderhowto.com...framework-your-samsung-galaxy-note-2-0149997/
Is it safe to do on the Tab 3 or is it only designed for the note?

Damn !!!
The instruction manual is for all Tab 3 Models, so it should countains Multi-View option because Tab 3 8.0 does support it.

Do you know of a workaround right now? I've seen several methods. The most popular one is Xposed Loader and downloading a module called XMultiWindow. I've tried it and it's very buggy. If I open Firefox and Netflix at the same time the keyboard doesn't work.

Beware of MAJOR light leak at the bottom. I went through 4 of them and gave up and kept the 4th one that was one of the worse ones. You'll see 7 leaks from the bottom at any brightness if you're in a dark room and a black background comes up or watching movies or YouTube. Good luck!

Yep, the first thing that came to my mind after seeing the new note 8 (apart from a way to add it to my collection whenever available ) is to acquire the beloved (from my old ipad) awesome note for android.
Please, someone port it to our note 2. It is my favorite app (any chance to see it in the Samsung apps collection)?

Thanks for the update. If someone could just take out the awesome note apk from the 8.0 rom then i think we should be able to install on our devices. Remember the original Photoshop app which was meant for 10.1 worked beautifully on our devices.
In the meantime checkout something that's linked with Evernote and kicks Awesome note's ass!
Amazing Note lol.
I'm a digital note/memo freak and I'll tell you this app backs it up and hits it out of the park.
If you want simplicity (a respectable characteristic), don't go here.
If you don't mind a little little learning curve (most worthwhile things do), check out "Amazing Note".
Still in beta, and in fast development, it's still the most full featured life organizational app for the Samsung Note I've ever seen.
Thank you boowalley for the info you shared. So we just have to wait for someone who will be able to rip it from Note 8 and (hopefully) share it with us.
Thank you rockky for the info on Amazing note. It's interesting, I'll try it.

Stefan

When I had this problem it was due to the kernel not being custom boot animation compatible. The N7100 logo would show then flicker and stay blank until it was finished loading. Have you tried a different kernel to see if this is the problem?

I suggest that the OP either has one of these, or something very like it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmaveOD6jP0&feature=youtu.be
I specifically picked this video because you can clearly see that the "S-Pen" is not an S-Pen at all, but a regular capacitive stylus.
OP - assuming this is the case, if you want help with a generic device like this, your best bet would be to search out thread relating to MT6589 based devices, as you're far more likely to find someone with knowledge of this device because it quite simply isn't a Galaxy Note 2.

how to do it?
No it doesn't have the same processor!
It will almost certainly have a Mediatek MT6589, which isn't a bad processor by all accounts, but it is *not* an Exynos and therefore flashing a ROM from a real Note 2 may end up bricking your device - especially if it also flashes the modem or bootloader.
My previous advice stands - seek out a forum for MT6589 based devices, because flashing anything from a genuine Note 2 will likely cause you far more problems than it solves.

Dave

Search XDA for MT6589 and see what turns up. Failing that, post in the general Android forum because you stand far more of a chance finding someone who knows something about your device.

Sensors are lacking in the note 2.
Sadly we may not see this mod....g
It seems, according to a few articles i read, that the air gestures are dependant on the camera and not the newly added infra red (q) . One article even claimed that eventually air gestures would see there way to the gs3, according to a sammy vp. So yeah, I would say that somewhere down the road we might see some of this functionality.

Really? I wasn't able to get it working on my note 3. Kept telling me root permissions were required, and I am already rooted.

If you using CM 12.1 you can on the the Screen Recorder in you NOte 3 with out apps hut go to settings _ Button then under the the Power look for the Power Button u can see there the SCREEN RECORD just check the box...thats it...if you will push the power button in you mobile
it gonna show up REBOOT, SCREEN RECORD, PROFILE ETC.....HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU...
