From what I understand this is hardware based. Therefore it will never come to Note 2. But that's just what I've read.

You know what. Probably yeah because of the sensors put into the s4
Sent from my CLEAN Note ll

Sensors are lacking in the note 2.
Sadly we may not see this mod....g

It seems, according to a few articles i read, that the air gestures are dependant on the camera and not the newly added infra red (q) . One article even claimed that eventually air gestures would see there way to the gs3, according to a sammy vp. So yeah, I would say that somewhere down the road we might see some of this functionality.

does this auto-disable the physical buttons or is it just an optional setting? I like physical buttons and don't want softkeys.

I was all for it until I noticed my SPEN didnt work.
I was just setting int the 7100 forum crying cuz I wanted 4.2 AOSP/ Pardroid on my TMo Note 2 and something had me check the General of the TMo forum and I found this now I'm crying for a different reason....JOY! :^)

the OP suggests the spen works with apps, but we just lose the gestures. is your spen totally not working?
AM i the only one who wants to do this so bad.. but is just scared to death to pull the trigger?
Why general?
Hastily spouted for your befuddlement
the OP does NOT suggest the S-Pen works. He gives work arounds and blames not having touchwiz.
What boggles my mind is the Dev didn't post this, so what is the OP doing to support it?
Sticking with Jedi, which does work, as a total package. (to include every s-pen app from samsung!)

He does suggest it works with some apps.. but i think it limits its use to basic point and click.. no pressure sensitive , no button
Part of me really wants to try it just because i liked PDroid on my S2 but it also recommends not using recoveries .. plus i just melted an S2 on a JB rom so im a little less adventurous than i used to be.
Finally!

Easy PORTING to sprint note2

i have been looking for an easy way or guide to port things from the other carriers note 2 to our Sprint one....im finding no luck.....perhaps this may be better suited for the q n a section but i dont really know.....it is the same damn phone so there must be some sort of guidelines shouldn't there?

Its not the same phone .... some of it is but for some reason sprint changed the mount point on some partitions ... there are small changes to the hardware it just takes time to do things ...beyond compare is a good program to use when porting ROMs it allows you to compare the 2 ROMs side by side . Remove and replace stuff

he's pretty much right about it. they are different phones. however in the end they are nearly the same. i use beyond comparison 3 and have made success in porting the Sprint ROM to work on my USCC phone. doing this with the international versions would be a lot more difficult though. if you do attempt anything, be sure to use a Sprint kernel with another variants system. it will boot. the tough part is only fixing the radio issues. hope this helps a little bit.
i guess its more like mods i would want like specifically the way the atnt note2 can configure the multi window tab to be any where on screen, top /side whatever......i guess ill just wait till after Christmas when hopefully a whole bunch of devs will jump ship
=D

you mean the same feature that LK8 has? where you can move the tab anywhere you like?
You can already do that in LJC. Just press and hold on the little tab while it is out and voila you can move it wherever you want

ohh **** really? on lk8?
question then....can i run this jellybomb rom if i update to the lk8? i figured no.
You just have to have the tab out showing the apps then press and hold on the little tab part and it moves anywhere. If the tab is in it just slides up and down the side

Galaxy note 2 camera

I tried looking here but I couldn't find anything so I'm wondering can I use the note 2 camera that I found in the Verizon s3 forum?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Try to install it, it should be an apk
Even if it doesnt work, it wont brick your phone or anything because its just an app. Its mostly flashing things incorrectly or corrupted packages that will do that

Galaxy S 4 System Dump

I'm not sure if this is posted yet but since I'm rocking both devices (GS3 and Note II) I thought I would share this post from the Note II forums. Maybe someone can get some of the apps to work, such as S-Translate and S-Health

Sweet can't wait to see which apps get working
What other apps are there really cept S-Voice?!
And hopefully someone can get S-Voice to work on AOSP ROMs, although I am very fine with Google Now..
I tried the S4 voice and while it was nice and a clear improvement, I noticed shortly after pushing it my system apps that my battery took a huge hit, I had to revert back to a nandroid backup, all was normal after

Note App

Anyone know if there is note app like the new note 5 has for the note 4? I like being able to pull my phone and write a note without having to go through the steps we have now. Thanks, Jerry
Would changing the "Detachment Options" under settings to Action Memo help you out? When the pen is detached, the action memo comes up so that you can create a note.
Thank You, that helped alot. Great suggestion, I have been carrying Notes since they came out and never knew this. Big improvement. Thanks, Jerry

You might want to keep an eye out in the general note 4 forums. They've ported over the new action memo software, but not the screen off-writing functionality yet.
