Has anyone made one of these for Zooper? I am looking to have one. I travel a lot within the US and think it would be kind of cool to see. There are lots of template for World maps, but I was looking for something that would show a little more movement.

We all spend hours on this forum, I look from my laptop to my phone every 5 minutes, it occurred to me that I would like some kind of cohesion between the two screens, like a better look to the forum, a more modern feel. People have said wm is behind in its gui, well in my opinion so is this forum! There appear to be a lot of very talented programmers and graphics people on the forum, maybe you are one? well have you given much back to the forum? Maybe someone could come up with a state of the art flash gui for the forum, so that it is as up to date as all our phones are. I don't know a lot about these things so maybe I'm just talking late night crap again, no one looks in here anyway, I could say anything, like make it look like an iphone No.
bump. the UI could be a bit smoother. I don't know if I'm talking late-night-overtime crap but that's my uncaffeinated opinion at present.
At least one person agrees, The colour scheme really does suck, c'mon graphics people, more black, fruit around the edges, little sheep for my New Zealand friend, these web pages are the dullest most interesting, we need a makeover.

First, one thing I hate is flash!
Second, I just got used to the changes of going to vBullitn, last thing I want and I am sure a few people will agree with me is having to get used to a new interface. Thats always a bother whether you are switching OS or just changing forum appearance.
Third - if its not broken don't fix it! The forum works and does what it suppose to do so no reason to mess with it.

The colours are easy on the eye for long periods, I found myself reading something yesterday on a music forum, it had a black theme, it was nasty, very harsh, but for me, despite all the excellent points it is just a little safe. I trained as a sculptor and I like to be a bit kinda "out there", this is such an inventive place, as an artist I find my creativity can be stifled by be the wrong space. If some person wanted to put together a new interface for the site couldn't it just run along side this site, like yahoo mail beta does to yahoo mail. One thing I have often thought would be good is to have branches on threads.
The old site really was the old site then. I love the picture, reminds me of a postcard I once saw "The men of West Cork" only less beardy.
Sharing my tech and gadget news app, it is designed for big screen phones like the HTC One M7. My app is designed to be annoyance free and is minimilistic. It is light on resources and when you close it, it will stay closed (unlike some apps that run in background and eat up battery).
My tech and news app displays tech/gadget news from all major sources.

Thanks for the reply, it cannot currently be customized. I pretty much included all major trusted technology news sites so I can satisfy the majority of my app users.
If you have a suggestion, I can change things or add anything I am missing. I am open to suggestions as this is my first app and it pulls data from my actual site which is www.techlivewire.com, this app is pretty much a version of my site with some minor differences. The places I am pulliing the article headlines from are the actual sites themselves, if you notice, each one is separated with a big title such as ARS Technica, TechMeMe etc, those are the ones I am pulling stuff from. They allow their headlines to be pulled, that is the only reason I am able to do this.
A similar site does this same thing I am doing, it's called techlinks.com but they are very slow loading, it takes 60 seconds just to load their page since they have to pull from all sources.
I however have a super fast loading site because I know some tricks.
Hi... I think an app like this could become very popular in most countries. I would use it a lot. What I want to do is to be able to see what streets I have been on and what streets I have not yet explored in my city. I bicycle a lot so this would make my trips much more exciting while being extremely simple at the same time. In due time I could visit all the places in my city and even share the map with other people. It needs to be precise and maybe even have the ability to find the streets and take the route to them - and not just logging a GPS route.
Could I present the idea to anyone willing to actually create the app? I can't make the app myself I just want to use it.
Actually sounds pretty cool. You can also include something like how much % of your city you explored. Rank with your friends. "Complete" cities!
I figured us ingressers could probably use a spot to talk about our new wrist-based scanners. Post your reviews of the new app or what you think.
I've had mine out once so far while walking the dog around a pond with four portals evenly spaced out. It didn't seem to nuke my battery any more than any other app does. I don't find it the most intuitive for pointing out portals, though - it just shows the nearest one, but not on the map like we're used to. You'll want to know which portals you're targetting while playing.
Any other thoughts?

Personally, I find it quite convenient.
I spear when I stroll and ca allows me stuff without leaving the Smartphone and upset my girlfriend: D
By cons, they should have an integrated system that allows to see the portals in the area, because we only see the closest (as an Intel card) and the throwing Ingress Smartphone when it is launched via the watch.

I find it conveniant when im a passenger in the car sometimes but its like the portals stack up in a card system and you have to manually move the cards to the relevant portal that is coming up so it dosn,t seem that practical has anybody seen battery usage go up yet?
The only thing this app does it let's me know when a portal is near. It doesn't display any vital information such as what resonators are on it or mods. To me, this is a useless app.
Anyone here that can design apps want to maybe discuss business on designing an app? My friend is a professional shopper. He travels around his state and goes to stores like KMart, Walmart, Big Lots, etc in search of merchandise to resell.
He just google maps around the area he is thinking of hitting up and then goes from there. I told him it would be awesome to have an app that would for example bring up all the Walmarts in a given area, all the KMarts in a given area and have information on the store such as hours, and when he last visited it. Maybe even some sort of trip planner and mapper to shop all the K-Marts in one particular city.
Simple ideas really.
What kind of price would he be looking at? I have no idea what is involved in coding. The idea seems simple (pulling data off google maps, etc) and adding things in like last time visited, notes, etc... He has money but it would mainly be for 1 person. He's not going to invest a bunch of money, as his way of shopping and just going off memory, etc has been working totally fine. But in my opinion an app would be awesome as he literally uses his phone all the time for this business.

I doubt you'll find a developer to do this just for one person because it's their work and they control it so it would only be worth it if they built it so that anyone in your friends business and more could use it.

Or

You'll probably find an app(s) that already does most if not all of what you were thinking.
