Hi all.
Just wondering if anyone can help please?
I have an HTC Universal also known as the i-mate jasjar.
I recently have been looking for a headset that works well with this device so bought a Jabra jx10.
Unfortunately it appears this headset isn't totally compatible with the htc universal.
can anyone recommend a headset that has the following features?
As a visually impaired person I need a headset that makes a beep or plays a tone when the headset is turned on or off.
Some of the bt headsets out there only flash a light when turned on or off and this unfortunately doesn't work for me due to my visual impairment.
I was told the motorolla headsets work well with the universal but can't verify this.
Has anyone tried a Jabra jx10 with the htc universal?
I'm also after a small headset that clips on to your right or left hear and is easy to pair and setup.
also can anyone tell me if the headset supports the headset profile?
This option for some unknown reason doesn't appear after pairing up a headset with the universal even though the manual says it should.
I've been searching for months to find a headset that works well with the universal so any info or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I can recommend the logitech traveller. It is inexpensive, works well with the jasjar, makes a beep when turning on and a different one when turning off, has a good noise cancelling system.
I am however currently using the Nokia HS-12W, which is a stereo headset that hangs from your neck. It also makes a beep. I have to admit though, that at least for my ears the original earbuds did not work and I had a hard time understanding anything probably because the sound did not get into my inner ear. I "transplanted" the excellent Sennheiser CX300 earbuds and now I feel I have an outstanding headset that allows me to listen to music in an unexpected quality.
Hope this was helpful to you.
I recently purchased a Sony Ericsson Akono Headset HBH-608 from eBay (around £10, second hand but not been used), and would recomend it! Easy to use, good battery life, all the buttons work, and the voice dialing works with my Artemis too!
I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for this, so that people trying to find a compatable headset will have somewhere to look
So, if you have a Bluetooth headset you would like to recomend, just post details here.
Cheers!

tHOSE ARE AWSOME... REPLACEable aa battery.. I use them with phillips headphones...

Jabra BT8010
I am using Jabra BT 8010 with Artemis. It has A2DP too, so I can listen music as well as using it as headset. It has support for Stereo music too..
BlueAnt Z9
Use a Blueant Z9 with 02 Orbit and calls are very clear, it also has voice isolation which is great in noisy areas. Also commands via Z9 activate very well with Microsoft Voice Command v1.6 UK software
could anyone tell me wich is a compatible headset with S200 Qtek?

i tested i.tech and Motorola H680 and both of them , when i make a call, my voice is transferd ok... BUT i cannot hear anything..
Please help!!
compatible BT audio headset
I have bought and tested on S200 two headsets (with audio-listen to mp3 or radio/with autoswitch audio and telephone calls vice versa):
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS200 you can plugin your own 3.5mm earphones
Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 fixed earphones with replacable earbuds
Plantronics Pulsar 260 with replacable earbuds
Worked realy fine until now.
What works
I have tried about 10 different Jabra headsets, they all work, so go for them!
But I like my jabra I think it was 250 or 250v, it is really better than a lot of the new ones ofcourse, I bought mine new..
I use Sony DR-BT21G stereo headphone and can happily confirm they work well in both cases. The only issue with them is they occasionally cut out if your moving around/jogging etc, but thats bluetooth for you They work well when stationary.
If you need a A2DP toggle/switch rather than doing lots of clicks to connect them check out my polaris post below, the switch works well on my prophet

Can someone recommend a good stereo bluetooth for the TP2 that also has caller ID on the unit? & I mean ones that I can plug my earphones in2, not the headset. Thanks
Does anyone make truly wireless earbuds good enough for mono phone calls and have a mic mute button? The jabra 65t looks great but has no mute.
