Does anyone make truly wireless earbuds good enough for mono phone calls and have a mic mute button? The jabra 65t looks great but has no mute.

I just got this headset today. Callers were complaining that they couldn't hear me over the background noise.
Headset seems ok. I tried transferring the contacts to the headset. But after I do, when I make a call, the in-call volume is silent. When I disconnect, I hear the Q2 say "call terminated." But during the call, there's no ringing and I can't hear the other caller.
I resetted the headset, re-paired and cancelled the automatic phonebook transfer. Dialing and in-call volume seems ok now.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
Ive had the Q2 for about 2 months now and no issues, Got mine off eBay brand new, used it on my LG Optimus S and my Current EVO with several different roms and never had an issue. Maybe yours could be defective?
I have had the Q2 since it came out and have no complaints from people I talked with while using it. You might want to check the settings menu. Also if you call Blueants CS expect to wait up to an hour to get through, Rick
EDIT: Sorry , it looks like you did check the setting menu. oops
does your q2 speak caller id not phone numbers during call?
mine doesnt
how did you get it to work
m using desire s by the way
thanks
I returned the BlueAnt Q2 to Frys. Callers said the noise cancellation on the BlueAnt was really bad, especially at the mall and other noisy places.
I have the Jawbone Era now. Just picked it up from Best Buy for $130 today. I tested it at home with a floor fan and TV on at full blast while on a call. The caller on the other end said they couldn't hear anything in the background with the Jawbone Era. I also like the louder ear volume and faster recharge time (only 1 hr vs 3-4 hrs for the BlueAnt).
Other bluetooth headsets in the past:
- Voyager 510: volume too low, no noise cancellation
- Voyager Pro: volume too low
- Motorola S305: good for music, no noise cancellation for the mic
I saw some ear buds at AT&T with a micro usb connection for $19. I might give them I try to see if I can get stereo when connecting to the Jawbone Era (I know you can with the Samsung Modus 6450). I'll have to do more research.
Good to know, been debating between these two. Been using the Jawbone Icon as well as the Blueant Q1.
As far as the headphones goes, I'm listening with my Jawbone Era connected via bluetooth and a circumaural (closed ear) headphones on top of the Jawbone. Sound quality sounds terrific despite having my Jawbone on.
When music is on, the music plays through stereo headphones if they're plugged into the stereo jack. Otherwise the plays through the Jawbone. On a call, the Evo stops the music and only audio is heard through the Jawbone.
Haven't run into accidental misdials with the stereo headphones on. On a call though, the stereo headphones presses the Jawbone into my face, so listening to the other caller sounds slightly muffled until I take off the stereo headphones.
Any recommendations for a wired headset, dual ear buds, microphone, and call/music buttons?
I have an iphone set, when I plug then in the status bar shows a headset with microphone but no one can hear me talking...
What about these?

These are what I use:

Haven't had any problems that I've noticed, although I admittedly don't use wired too much anymore since I finally replaced the clip for my Bluetooth headset.
They do work great for music though, and I do still use them for that.
Hope this helps
I've tried the following 3.5 mm stereo headsets on my Galaxy S II but I still can't find one that fits my needs.
1. The in-ear Samsung headset that came with the handset - I don't like in-ear headsets for making calls
2. Samsung stereo headset (AAEP404) - The receivers complained of an annoying echo on calls
3. HTC RC RE160 - Volume was too low on calls so I couldn't hear the caller
Has anyone found a good headset that works with the Samsung Galaxy S II that isn't in-ear or Bluetooth and has good call quality and volume? The in-ear Samsung headset almost meets the requirements, as it has enough volume when on calls and there's no echo on the receiver's end, but I can't stand in-ear headsets while on a call.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I'd really appreciate it.
I tested the Blackberry mono 3.5mm headset and it worked well regarding the call management button and the audio levels.
I haven't tested the BB stereo headset, but I suppose it should work equally well.
Cheers for the reply. I'll have to look out for the Blackberry stereo headset so.
Yup. I tried the Tt esports Isurus and works like a charm.
Working with FM ?
Does one knows if one of them is working with radio app ?
coz this apps requires antenna found in the wire to the ears (checked on third contact line on jack).
thx in advance
Beats by Dre with control talk seem to work well with the SGSII I was actually shocked that it did.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App

Have you tried adjusting the volume using the Samsungs "secret" codes?
A tutorial for that can be found in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=741012

Both the Samsung and HTC stereo headsets I've linked to in my original post work perfectly fine with the default radio app on the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Okay, so I've bought an iPhone headset and a Blackberry stereo headset on eBay so I'll update the thread with my results. I've read, and heard, nothing but good things about the iPhone headset so here's hoping it's as great as people are making out. themissionimpossible, I certainly hope your theory is right that the Blackberry stereo headset will work as well as the mono one you tried...!
Blackberry mono headset works flawlessly as an antenna for the GS2 radio app.
The Sennheiser MM30i smart remote with mic works so far and sound quality is very good
Klipsch X10i - works perfectly, except the volume controls on the remote don't work, sound is AMAZING, FM works beautifully, call quality is great, though the mic is placed at the "V" and is therefore a bit low compared to others. Headset is extremely expensive.
Sennheiser MM70 with mic works perfectly. sound is good, FM works, same deal with the mic remote - middle button works for answer, drop, pause and skip, but volume buttons don't work. Not very expensive, but not giveaways either.
Shure headset with the Shure mic remote - mic remote works perfectly for pause, skip and cal answer/drop, but the mic is horribly placed unless you use the clip. It's also a heavy brute. They have their newer modular system that has the mic inline on the cord that plugs from the buds to the player directly - that might work better. Sound is based on whichever Shure bud set you run. Expensive to extremely expensive.
All of the above sets are loud enough to watch non-DRC'd movies on public transportation.
iPhone headset - bllleeeaaaaargh. Simply atrocious sound quality and volume levels.
What I'm really looking for is some sort of audio input, whether it be inline mic built into headphones or a bluetooth headset, that is good at noise canceling, but I want it relatively cheap. I'm not expecting anything extraordinary, but I don't want the sound of the wind screwing up the call from my end.
I don't mean something that blocks external sound from entering my ears, I want a mic that will record clear audio despite the wind during my otherwise quiet walks.
Sony DR-BT10CX
Bulky, ugly and quite pricy but Extremely good audio quality(par with SH!), superb noise cancelation and long lasting battery.
I own one of these, and they are damn good.
Selectec Stereo Bluetooth Headphones Wireless In-Ear Earbuds Sports Earphones Noise Cancelling Headsets with Microphone (Red)
This is for a set of Selectec Stereo Bluetooth Headphones Wireless In-Ear Earbuds Sports Earphones Noise Cancelling Headsets with Microphone (Red). These head phones are adjustable on the ear pieces, and have an inline mic and buttons for answering your calls..
These are really great head phones! They have an equalizer button on the in line button, a call answer button and a volume down , last track and a volume up, next track button.. The ear pieces are fully adjustable, they move around in a three hundred and sixty degree movement, so that I can put them where I need them and be comfortable, they are also adjustable up and down for height.. The ear hangars are soft and bendable so they don't just sit on my ear and cut into it.. I love the way these fit and the amount of comfort that I get from them.. They are nice looking and sound great too.. The bass in these is amazing! One of the things that I really love about these head phones is the noise cancelling that they have, so when I am listening to my music while I am on the treadmill, I don't hear the treadmill or the noise around me, just the music.. This gives me the incentive to just keep walking.. These are chargeable and come with a USB charging cord so I can put it in my computer to charge, or in a wall plug with a USB slot.. They last for quite a while on one charge and that is very nice.. when I get a call I can just click the answer button and I can talk, the mic is also in the in line, and when I am done with the call I just click the button again and I am back to my music.. These were super easy to pair with my LG G4 .. there is a lot to really like about these Bluetooth head phones..
